    Thanks for going into detail with bolt length/location. I was quick to remove the case and didn't pay attention. Great video, thanks for your help!

      You're welcome! I have been caught in that situation a couple times so I figured why not take 5 seconds to show it. Good luck on the rebuild and happy riding

      One question, how did you drived the oil and water seals in place??

    • @ClayFick
      @ClayFick  5 років тому +2

      First place them squarely in place by hand and then use a socket that is the same size as the outer edge of the seals and hammer the socket down to drive the seals in. Make sure they go in evenly. Sometimes you have to work your way around the edge of a seal with the socket to ensure they go in evenly

    I am going to assume this can be similar to my 1999 cr125r and will approach it like this without taking the clutch cover off thank you

    • @ClayFick
      @ClayFick  3 роки тому

      Yes, I believe it’ll be very similar. Clutch cover bolts into right crankcase cover, so if you unbolt right crankcase cover - both covers come off together

    Is it possible to rebuild the water pump without removing the engine from the bike?

      Thank you for the feedback. I hope the vid helps you out. I believe you can do this service with the engine in the frame

    Sweet video! Do you have to take the larger case off of you just want to change the two seals and leave the bearing? I’ve got a leak but selling the bike soon and trying to keep it simple. Thx

    • @ClayFick
      @ClayFick  5 років тому

      Thanks for the feedback ! I believe you’ll have to take the crankcase cover off. Both seals are on the outside of the bearing but the propeller nut would need a drill/impact to get off without a wrench on the shaft on the backside. Plus the propeller shaft would have to be worked around. Those are my thoughts but I’ve never researched that idea

    You didn't include one important detail, is the impeller reverse thread or normal right hand thread?

    • @ClayFick
      @ClayFick  11 місяців тому

      I am going to say normal right hand thread bc I don’t remember having any trouble with it

    • @tom97zr2
      @tom97zr2 11 місяців тому

      @@ClayFick ya I think it's normal thread. I wasn't sure if my 07 cr125 was normal or reverse, but it was normal thread. My 250f was reverse thread and I didn't know that a few years ago and broke the gear. My old 450's were normal thread. I think I read the cr250 is reverse thread.

    • @ClayFick
      @ClayFick  11 місяців тому

      Oh shoot that is unfortunate. I’m glad it was normal thread then haha

    Do you have a video showing how to put the inner clutch case back on? I’m struggling to hook the arm to the power valve??

    • @ClayFick
      @ClayFick  4 роки тому +2

      I don’t. Adam Paganelli Or however you spell it might have it in his rebuild video. If we’re talking about the same arm I put it on while putting the crankcase cover on. Kind of a do it as you go type thing

    Lol your Kickstart spring wasn't in the case holewhere it's supposed to be you didn't check the shaft for wear and when you undo the pinion lever it's got to be lined upacertin way you should try to throw the little things like that in your videos as well or ppl might fuck up lol

    • @ClayFick
      @ClayFick  10 місяців тому

      Thanks for your comment. I took care of the kickstart spring off camera and the shaft had no issues. Are you referring to the Power Valve Linkage Arm when you say pinion lever? The bike is fine, but you may create your own video and hit on those topics you listed!
