[Zelda Breath of the Wild] Cooking | Best Foods and Recipes With Locations

- In this cooking guide for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I show you great locations where you can farm ingredients for health & stamina recovery and stat boosting foods. I also give you the best recipes to cook them.
Visiting various easy-to-get-to locations in Hyrule, we quickly gather the ingredients we need to boost our attack, defense, speed, stealth, health and stamina.
Making food is also a good way to make money, as merchants will often buy your cooked foods for a good amount of rupees.
If you want to replace some of the ingredients, they need to be from the same tier to provide the same effect.
Here's what you can replace them with:
Mighty banana: Mighty carp, Razorclaw Crab, Razorshroom
Ironshroom: Armored carp, Fortified pumpkin, Ironshell crab
Rushroom: Swift Carrot
Fleet Lotus Seeds: Swift Violet
Blue Nightshade: Sneaky River Snail
Silent Shroom: Stealthfin trout
All "Hearty" foods are interchangeable, but provide various amounts of bonus hearts. Same for "Endura" ingredients.

At the end if u did the story there would be a cutscene with you and Zelda in a HUGE field of silent princesses so I don’t think she would be mad and also if she is inside Ganon would she know?

I feel it’s worth mentioning that Endura Carrots grow at every Great Fairy Fountain. Sometimes they’re hard to spot, but can be found easily with Sheikah Sensor+.

Wow I didn't realize you could hit trees to make fruit drop. I've been climbing trees for apples like a fool
Doesn't always work for some reason, sometimes I just stand there whacking away like an idiot while nothing happens
I think you can hit the tree with an axe and all of the fruit will fall, but I'm not completely sure.

just bomb trees, even easier
use a double axe. it always drops trees with all thier fruit in one hit.

Satori mountain is like the master place for ingredients, I was farming apples there and I got up to 200 apples
Figured out some of these with trial and error, but your videos are insanely detailed and are clearly constructed with care. Some of your ingredient runs were very helpful.

satori mountain has a small grove of trees with a bunch of luminous stones and every type of shroom
Difficult items for armor upgrades would be awesome! I mean, everyone's done the dragon horn shards, but other things would be helpful, like hearty bass for zora armor and the like.
I love how you make mess ups or certain encounters into necessary steps, It really relates to my sense of humor.

As a quick tip: Cook more durians together when you have lower health and only cook one when you have higher health. Since you can only have two rows of hearts, temporary or not, eventually you start wasting durians when you don't need to. The same might apply for Endura Carrots but I'm pretty sure temporary stamina is completely separate to your main wheel when counting towards max stamina.

I have a suggestion, get lots of 'hearty' ingredients and cook them by themselves and you get a full health recovery for each meal
I use this as and excellent strategy

adding monster extract (from Kilton) will increase the effects of the food to 30 minutes (I also find it easier to get than using dragon parts).
Eta A Isiorho Dragons are so easy to garm tho

I can be a real idiot at times. I have been playing this game almost every single day. Ever since the day after it came out last year here in the U.S. And I never once thought about using Silent Princesses to cook with. I only ever really use them for either one of the 4 great fairies. For upgrading some of Link's clothes. But never to cook with. Now I am definitely going to start using them in cooking recipes. Especially since I am playing the game in master mode. Thank you so much for making this really helpful video.
if you have an empty weapon space and you need apples or durians, head to the kara-kara bazar, there is always a big axe there which you can use to chop down the trees. it's faster than climbing, and you could sell the wood or build Tarrey Town. if you dont want to go to the bazar or have no inventory space, use bombs, sometimes the fruits fly away though, so i reccommend just getting the axe
Thanks for the great tips on farming the bananas, and Durian! That's a real lifesaver! My only problem was, when I went to get the Durian, I didn't want to deal with the Riff-Raff enemies over there, so I threw on Majora's mask to go unnoticed, Well that didn't work too well because 2 Keese spotted me, and attacked, so all the enemies started attacking, plus it started to rain, and lightning...I got em all though.

in kakariko village, you should also farm stamella mushrooms under Impa's house for a stamina boosting effect

Omg tysm i needed this bad, im trying to get the barbarian set and im low on stamina and didnt know how to make food that increases my stamina
my best food was a 30 minute level 3 defense boost with 15 1/4 heart heal haha. It was a farosh horn 3 armored porgy and and raw prime meat (also a critical cook just before a blood moon)

You can also use the time stop device to find food faster if you can't see them the whole area would be yellow but the food will be darker yellow the time stopping device lets you see things better
yo gladley i just found your channel and it already helped me out alot with the elemental blades. im doing a non divine beats run so its a bit hard to find good weapons. i would like to suggest a video dedicated to armor locations and what they do. there is so much about armors that i dont know how to find and all and if i dont know the name i cant really search for it myself, would help me and probably alot of other ppl out alot

It's such an incredible video, thank you so much for truly simplify the cooking in this game.
I would just add one more location eventide isle cause the fish around there are porgies and they give the most effect per ingredient for might and armor effects as well as has some durian trees on the isle. I think there are some more locations with the fish but the power of them is a few go a long way when combined with the thistles/bananas

5 Hearty durians. Full recovery, AND 20+ hearts. Durians are pretty common, too :)

the forest right anove Kakariko is where i farm iron shrooms, silent shrooms, silent princesses, blue nightshade, and critters
A good place for hearty durians is the faron area, got 67 or so of them
I did everything YOU did and it worked! I even got hit by the rock! I'm good at following instructions, I guess. xD
If you cook with monster extract, and 4 food buff items, its possible to make a 30 min duration dish. Try it
Gladley has his own cooking show XD. first we ise the iron shrooms as your main ingredient. Dont forget, onions make ya cry. UNLESS U MAKE IT CRY FIRST
On and if you go to use stasis certain foods/ ingredients will light up so you can track them down really fast
