    Mine is still running strong. On my fifth riding season on her. I've added a larger IMS tank and just bought the Yoshi RS4 exhaust system for her (have the tuner as well). Bonus is I have her fully street legal. Adjusted all 4valves for the first time with only 1 technically being out of spec. I love her even though she is a fat pig.

    I don’t understand why this channel isn’t doing better. You have an awesome attitude, awesome name and a “rare” bike. I don’t get it.

      Hey I know right! I think if I uploaded more videos the channel would get more traction.

      Hey thanks for watching my videos! These are some super secret trails in northeast Ohio 😉
      And I love the RMX for this type of terrain, the bike is an absolute tractor 👍

    Hey man I finally bought the rmx I wanted but does yours sometimes start on a low idle then kick up to a high idle?

    • @stupidmoto
      @stupidmoto  7 місяців тому

      Hey congrats on the bike! Yea when mine is cold it idles kinda slow then after a few seconds will idle like normal, I think it's the automatic decompression doing its thing.

    • @Gtdubsterx7
      @Gtdubsterx7 7 місяців тому

      @stupidmoto ah ok yeah just mine does it when it's hot to or will that be the auto decompression?

    I had a crf450x and hated it for trail riding. How does this compare to the 450x?

    • @stupidmoto
      @stupidmoto  3 роки тому

      I don't really have any experience with the 450x, what year was yours? It seems more people like the pre 2017 ones with the carb. The RMX is in the same class as an enduro bike, its about the same weight as the 450x, has similar showa suspension, but the RMX does have a smaller gas tank. I really like my RMX in the woods, even the super technical stuff. The EFI works really good, it doesn't have a hard hit like an MX bike, the power is super linear and smooth. I think the RMX is a great bike all around.

    have you had any overheating issues on some of these slower trails?

    • @stupidmoto
      @stupidmoto  2 роки тому

      Not really, in the very end of the video after I was stuck in that gully the bike boiled over a bit but the coolant catch can did it's job. I have this bike running rich enough and idle low enough that it runs pretty cool even in the super slow stuff. I don't have a radiator fan either, but I've only had the bike get hot on me a handful of times, usually when I'm stuck on a hill and not moving.

      @@stupidmoto that’s good to know. Hows managing the bikes weight in the nasty stuff?

    • @stupidmoto
      @stupidmoto  2 роки тому

      @@michaelspinelli5261 it's really not too bad, once you learn how to shift your body weight around you can make the bike go wherever you want, as you can see in the video it's not that difficult to pop the front end up and do a pivot turn. The weight of the bike has actually really helped me build my stamina, it's like a free gym membership lol

    • @stupidmoto
      @stupidmoto  2 роки тому +1

      @@michaelspinelli5261 I know right lol. I seriously think my videos have sold more RMXs than any sales guy at a dealership. I'm the only person who has really made any videos of this bike, these are really great bikes and it's a shame they aren't more popular. I actually just got mine paid off, bought it brand new and have now owned the bike for 5 years. Once the weather breaks I want to do a full long-term review so keep an eye out for that over the next month or two. Thanks for watching my videos!

      I freaking love it. Absolutely fantastic bike. I've had mine for 4 1/2 years now and it's been great. Super reliable, easy to ride, 10 out of 10 would recommend

  • @Hi808trailriders

    What mods have you done?

    • @stupidmoto
      @stupidmoto  3 роки тому +1

      After decorking it only motor mods are the JD jetting tuner, a Yosh slip on muffler, and a magura hydraulic clutch. Suspension has stock valving but has be re-sprung for my weight, and it works really good, then I've put pretty much every guard I could find, front and rear brake disk guards, clutch cover protector, aluminum skid plate, radiator braces, and hand guards of course. This bike is an absolute woods weapon.

      @@stupidmoto thanks for the reply. I'm thinking about this bike cause there's a 2017 that looks practically brand-new in my area for $5000

    • @stupidmoto
      @stupidmoto  3 роки тому +3

      @@Hi808trailriders if you like Suzukis and don't mind a heavier bike I'd say go for it because that's a steal. I paid $9200 for my 2017 when they first came out and it was totally worth it. I've had the bike for 4 and a half years now and have put 2500 miles on it and it's been super reliable. I can't even imagine selling mine. I shimmed the valves once, which I did myself, and have just replaced consumables like brakes, tires, chain and sprockets, ect. The RMX is a super versatile platform, mines feels at home on super tight single or hitting jumps, these are really underappreciated bikes 👍
