I got that yesterday myself and as usual different people or companies have different preferences so hard to get everything I am looking for. I did get it for hut to hut hiking and I think the size is fine. I was diapointed the side pockets seemed quite snug for my RX100 camera. Also the shoulder stap webbing or buckle is interesting that it seems hard to slide.
Looks a great pack. One concern, it looks like the hip belt pockets are quite a long way back and difficult to get to? I'd like to see those MUCH further round for easy access.
Actually way better than my hyperlite Waypoint. The pockets are further forward by about 2 inches. Likely because I got the L belt with the medium pack.
I've never heard of this fabric. Didn't EPL Ultra 200/400/800 just come out not long ago? I thought that was supposed to be a supped up Dyneema. Is this even tougher than that?
The Ultra fabrics are great. In some ways, these take it to the next level because ALUULA is 100% UHMWPE fibers (the good stuff) instead of about 65%. It's also edge stable and heat bondable, so we can do more advanced things with the construction.
They both have their place. The betalight will be more stable for running. Black diamond has a long history of building stable running packs. They have the obvious differences like smaller side pockets on the hip belt on the betalight. But they are positioned in a better spot for accessibility. I adore the chest straps on the waypoint. Very wide, squishy and comfy. I wish there were more pockets on the chest straps and another connection for stability to the pack to make it a better vest. But I do like the water bottle pockets on the waypoint. (2 instead of 1 on the betalight)
Super cool looking pack! Can't wait for the 50 ;)
It is definitely unique!
Great walkthrough. Thanks for putting this together.

Well thank you Dan! Appreciate it very much. Thank you for creating such a great pack!
Thanks a lot. I would prefer a zip chest pocket but understand that some like the 2nd bottle pocket for bear spray.
The Black diamond BetaLight has a chest pocket. May be a better pack for you?
Love your videos here in uk. U just keep reviewing all the kit im looking at which is great.
Well that is great! So glad you are getting the info you need.
Well done video!! Mine's on the way.
Thank you! You will surprised just how light it is when you take it out of the box.
Looking forward to hearing about your experience with it out on trail!
Thank you! I will post about it in a few weeks
Great review! A very slick pack, indeed.
Thank you!

Do u mean the chest strap? You have to unhook it to move it. It is for sure hard to get everything you want in one pack.

Yes it is and I believe it’s also a Canadian company.

Can’t wait to get mine
It’s a really nice pack. I am sure you will love it.
Thoughts compared to BD beta light?
