I’m kind of a traditionalist when it comes to picking out my outfits for ballet class. In my career I went through a lot of ups and downs and so now I really appreciate and value the time I get to be in ballet class. I always want to look my best as a sign of respect to myself and my teachers for continuing on despite setbacks. By wearing pink tights and a leotard with a matching skirt I feel like I’m saying, “I’m here and I’m going to do my best today!”I understand as dancers when we get tired it’s very easy to hide underneath warm-ups and baggy clothes but it’s easy to get comfortable and start missing mistakes and your technique. If you’re feeling burn out,put on a beautiful outfit and challenge yourself to look in the mirror and start fixing what you don’t like.
Thank you so much to my favorite leotard company @dellalo_milano for these beautiful outfits! I am contemplating adding a few more to my collection because I always have the best class in them! And thank you @sodancaeurope for my new ballet flats! I love the look of new flat shoes.
