Scar for me is a interesting choice. Did he do some truly evil things? Yes. Did he have some justifiable reasons for why he did those things? Also Yes. Did he redeem himself in the end? That’s for you to decide….
I know the thumbnail is in reference to Gyutaro’s origins but putting Douma, possibly the most evil character in demon slayer, in front of this vid is hilarious
I clicked on the video simply because I was like, how the flying fuck are you guys thinking you'll justify DOUMA?? So if nothing else, effective choice from Watchmojo
Noah - Yu-Gi-Oh! his entire life was taken from him at an early age, & his father abandoned him in a Digital Playground. You can't help but want him to get a body & be human again.
His father didn't abandon him. Wasn't it revealed he was trying to get him back the whole time and Kaiba was a means to do that. Pretty sure the plan was always to get his son back.
@@DuelTwilightChaserNope after he adopted Seto & Mokuba (& realized Noah couldn't be saved) he completely abandoned Noah, until Seto took over Kaiba corp.
Black Wizard Zeref Dragneel First, as a child he lost his parents and younger brother to the dragons attacking. The earliest thing Zeref did was start researching a method to resurrect his brother. He came up with many theories about restoring life that brought him into the academy that allowed him to conduct his research for the benefit of humanity. He had come up with many methods to help, including creating a gate to allow people to travel to the future, which was enacted by other mages. When the teachers found out that he was still researching methods of bringing his brother back to life when he was close to a breakthrough. When he made his attempt, he ended up getting cursed with immortality but with the added punishment that he couldn’t actually care for anything else, or the curse would kill all life around him like an instant plague. Zeref then started creating the Etherious, demons that were specifically designed to be able to kill him as a means of finally ending his eternity of anguish that he had suffering from for the 400 years when he was first introduced. This is where Zeref finally culminated his research and creation of demons to resurrect his brother, Natsu, as his final and most powerful demon, E. N. D., or Etherious Natsu Dragneel, with the final mission to kill him. After he had sent Natsu to the future along with the other dragon slayers of the time with the instructions to open the gate at a specific date, he established the kingdom of Alvarez to assist in a second endeavor to protect the earth from the dragon of destruction, Acnologia. Roughly 300 years after being cursed, Zeref found someone else who was bestowed on with the same curse, Mavis Vermillion, and this was after he had taught basic magic to Mavis and her 3 companions, Yuri Dreyar, Precht Gaebolg and Warrod Sequen 11 years prior. In a night of passion, the curse ended up placing Mavis in a comatose state for a century. Leading Zeref to only seek out his own death to truly end his misery. The night of passion ended up with Mavis giving birth to a son, August, who not only had Zeref known nothing about, but, even if he had, he wouldn’t have been able to raise him in any way lest he risk the curse ripping away his life like so many others. At first, all Zeref wanted was his brother back, and then all he wished for was to end his cursed existence of immortality and death. Can anyone truly blame a man who had lost his family and simply wanted one of them back, and then when he tried to bring them back, he was cursed for over 400 years without being allowed to care for anything if he wanted them to live? A person can only live in solitude for so long before they lose their sanity.
@@akaza.3597 report him for spamming. He has been spamming this in multiple comments by the way. Also he will lie and make false claims about others being the same person with no proof.
To sum up your list, characters that lost everything they cared in a horrible way and characters that were thinking about the big picture. I'm surprised Iliaster from Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds didn't make this list. It's leaders were survivors of an apocalyptic future and they wanted to prevent mankind from going down that path, even if they had to destroy a city and erase people from history.
I don’t like villains. Sometimes I hate them, but when you learn about their tragic backstories and their reasons for turning to the dark side, you can’t help but feel sorry for them. We still don’t like them, but that doesn’t mean we don’t pity them.
I actually like villains more than heroes. They tend to be more interesting and entertaining most the time, esp. when done with a good backstory. Sometimes heroes tend to be more generic and too righteous. Villains are more relatable I think because tend made bad choices. And we all have had made those before. Plus they make us question our morality. I still like heroes too though. (Especially anti-heroes.)
That's because some villains actually have their own understandable, personal and justifiable reasons on what they're thinking and doing. Which makes them into who and what they truly are. Just because they're evil, It doesn't really mean they're truly evil.
Light's justifications for doing what he did were misguided albeit well intentioned (he failed to factor in a shitload of socio-economic factors) and I do think he was a good person... up until the moment he "embraced the identity of Kira" and then he is just a monster until the end.
@@Psycoticlese And killing all those FBI agents and making one of them kill themselves in a place where no one would find her body was NOT jumping off the slope?
Glad that Scar is on the top spot. He was mentally scarred by the War that led to the deaths of his family. An example of how a War can mentally destroy someone and causing him/her to turn to the dark side.
What's really fascinating about Scar's character is that he himself believes that he doesn't deserve forgiveness. He knows that he has turned his back on the ways of his religion through his actions. He also states in the show that he knows Winry is completely justified in hating him and wanting to take revenge for what happened to her parents.
Gyutaro and Daki were the only lucky demons to defeat the hell they were sent to. They fully managed to reincarnate into the modern world although with some memories left behind. Demons break the cycle of reincarnation once they enter hell meaning that they stop reincarnating but gyutaro and Daki beat the odds and managed to come back to life. They reincarnated as older high school students with gyutaro with a slight facial scar he got from an accident and Daki became a Beauty but has an attitude. Both do not remember their past as homeless children though. Fortunately this incarnation they are still brother and sister but are better off financially and with parents to reign in their behavior. They actually were born in the same pleasure district where they were beheaded last time yet in a much better place. That district was cleaned up after the fire according to history and the entire area was just turned into another district but without the houses of ill repute and is currently just another neighborhood within Tokyo although it’s reputation is still around.
Gyutaro and Dabi to me felt relatable. There's a reason Gyutaro is ny favorite Demon Slyer villain. First they treated Gyutaro like scam just because in their eyes he was born ugly and then later tried to false his teenage sister (probably 13 years at the time) into a brothel to sleep with middle aged men where she was even probably raped, I would have done the same probably no question.
Damn, Stain still gives me chills especially when he does that speech right before he dies! I understood him right then & there too when he said " ALL MIGHT IS WORTHY!"
@@ArnulfoSalgado yeah i get that, that’s what I was saying, To some point Shigaraki felt justified just needed bad timing for the masacre the family was finally starting to defend him
@@guillermosierracuellar9812 nah dabi is more relatable than shigaraki unlike shigaraki dabi actually started taken those hard training of endeavour but endeavour sees him as failed son and moved on shoto who don't even want to train. Dabi was training hard to become stronger and asked his mother about the same which she didn't want dabi to go through as result dabi start hating on his mother as well then dabi show his father pays attention to shoto and his mother cares for shoto more than him made him jealous of shoto so he start hating him then he went out while training his fire went out of control endeavour went to see him but didn't find and his whole family taught he is dead. Dabi who was actually alive taught no one comes to save him and saw how his family members moved on effected him badly to hate entire family especially shoto. His reason for hating his family is far more relatable than shigiraki but shigaraki was justified being evil because he suffered literally physical abuse while no one care about him while he didn't wanted it at all unlike dabi who actually wants endeavour to pay him attention and train him than shouto
Some slight issues.... Bakura was not possessed by the spirits of Kul-Elna, they actually manifested as his Earthbound Diabound monster he could control. He was, however, under the influence of Zorc Necrophades. Shogo Makashima was a lot more subtle and nuanced than "take down the Sibyl system for the lulz and people are trapped in it". He was well versed in a lot of authors and lore, from Shakespear to Orwell to Huxley. What he wanted was to "see the splendour of human souls", as he postulated that the humans in Japanese society were stagnating and even regressing in evolution. That is why he chose his followers/ peers closely as he did- like his cyborg peer than hunted people like foxes, and discarded them when they ceased to be original or creative (the daughter of the mass murderer who preserved bodies in the form of artwork who was only imitating others work and not being original).
there are also villains like Prince Demand/Diamon, his brother Sapphir/Sapphire, Alan and his sister from Sailor Moon. Adam from RWBY as well. You could even throw in Talpa from Ronin Warriors/Yoridden Samurai troopers, who was actually bullied because he was tall. BlackWargreymon/Yukio Oikawa from Digimon 02.
Light's actions were noble at first he just wanted to rid the world of legit criminals. Then he started to go after people that just wanted to catch him like police officers and detectives and would even target criminals that did something small like theft.
Lelouch Vi Britannia should have been on here. Dude starts a war with his family, leads a rebellion, seemingly becomes a tyrant, then dies. All to liberate Japan.
Even though these Anime Villains Motives are Completely Sick, Twisted, Malevolent and Dangerous, I still understand what they're all going through. I totally understand what their True Motives. Gyutaro & Daki from *Demon Slayer* Pain from *Naruto Shippuden* Suguru Geto from *Jujutsu Kaisen* Hero Killer Stain from *My Hero Academia* Makoto Shishio from *Rurouni Kenshin* These are the Best Anime Villains Motives I can totally understand
I mean wasn’t Goku’s motive to improve himself and get stronger? Plus, all the other universes would’ve been eradicated anyway. Thanks to the Magic Balls, it was all moot anyway. Wait, Goku wasn't the villain of the Tournament of Power?
Goku just gave xeno an easier way to erase people but doesn't mean people wanted to fight they where kinda forced to fight for their lives so you can sit there and say goku is innocent they where going to be erased either way you put it 2 wrongs don't make a right
the Villain that is the Hero of their story would had to be an Anti-Villain while the Hero is an Pawn of the Elitist snubs that peach Miscarriage of Justice!
I saw the doma on the thumb nail and I thought I had gone to a different universe were everyones psychopathic, but its only because of saki and gyutaro backstory
Remember that top 10 strongest villains in dragon ball? Some, including me, asked why isn't Jiren on the list. And we were told that Jiren is not a villain. Well how come Jiren is on the list now?
I believe Eren was justified as much as Zeke, if not more. He was forced to watch his mom get eaten only to find out years later that he was involuntarily the cause of his dad's death too. Then he finds out that not only are his people being subjugated, but they're actively being called devils and treated like animals because of the actions of a tyrannical warlord 2000 years in the past. The rumbling was the only path that had the Eldians living without fear of being wiped out. Did Eren want to find a more peaceful solution? Yes. Was he able to? No. He chose to start the rumbling because it was the only option he had. He became the demon the world feared, and they had no one to blame for that but themselves.
Madara was the one who actually made sense with his goal. He wanted people to feel happy because he was the character in “Naruto” who suffered the most
his plan turns everyone into trees for eternity, leaving himself as the only sentient left. he didnt actually know anything about anything. just being manipulated by black zetsu
aha i wouldn't ever say that Light's motives were justifiable, sure his outward justification was to punish criminals as a method to improve the world, but we know from his character that that's a complete lie he tells to convince others (and the audience), and considering his megalomania and narcissism, it's a lie he likely has to tell himself as well, but we know his true motive, the one that resides in the deepest recesses of his soul, is simply the primal animalistic urge for power and control, as demonstrated by his literal dog-like behavior atop L's very own grave
Not all of them. I mean just look at Dio from JJBA. He was an absolute dick! In fact, his dickishness literally destroyed the universe! And then there's Frieza, Cell, and a bunch of other villains from Dragon Ball that did not have justifiable motives and we're just pure evil. Even though Vegeta is a good guy now, his motives were not justifiable in the slightest. I'm not sure if there any villains in one piece that had justifiable motives. Although maybe Doflamingo probably counts since the Celestial Dragons took everything from him.
@@princeofpokemon2934 DBZ too have pure villain but what makes jojo villain different it all are different in character and personality all have different goals and motives while most DBZ villain are villain just to kill and create havock
I should also mention SaberLeomon from Digimon Savers/Data Squad, since if you really pay close enough attention, both he and the Merukimon come off as Magneto and Professor X from the X-men to a degree, Hiruzen and Danzo from Naruto, and Ash and Paul from Pokemon...until Paul mellows out. Adam from RWBY was just trying to save his younger sister, until Jacque Schnee branded him. You could also include Ilia from RWBY as well, since she lost her parents in a mining accident, and dealt with kids who make fun of something like that, which unfortunately is seen more in today's society.
I always felt like stain was more of an anti hero personally. He acts on his morale code rather then malice but he still belongs on the list either way 💯
I saw this video pop up, read the title, and saw FREAKING DOMA in the thumbnail. Seriously?! He’s the LAST person with a justifiable motive for eating all those women.
Heroes are made from the actions of villains. If one innocent life is murdered or an innumerable number, each villain is just as bad as the entirety. No matter the cause of a villain’s reasoning to have remade themselves, they intend to see their goal come to pass. Uniquely motivated heroes have to match the ruthless evil of villains in hopes to win. From the lowest to the most powerful villain they are the same in judgment. Anime and other literary entertainment is only a warning for the real world.
You used Pain but id argue Kaguya was a better fit. She didn't even want to kill people just give them their perfect lives. And she only did so after being betrayed. Hell she was even willing to get dicked down by humans she trusted them so much and instead of wanting them all dead she wanted to give them their perfect lives. She should be on this list.
Actually Kaguya wanted to use the trees power deaths caused by its drain on planet notwithstanding to "prove" herself equal to the others of her race. Yet Id argue the peter rabbit and staying out of Mr Mcgreggers garden debate. Better not to do ur plan and stay away from where u are not wanted
Kaguya actually wanted to use the power of the tree to save herself from Momoshiki which was hunting her as we discovered im Boruto. She would sacrifice the whole world to be stronger.
@@ArnulfoSalgado if every villain have some kind of sad or sympathetic backstory than it mostly ruin it. It's good other otsutsuki villain are just evil
Doffy . . . my guy had everything he could wish for and lost all of it because of his father, people tried to burn him alive when he was a child, can't blame him for doing what he did.
I don't think I'll ever agree with Light being justifiable. Like the moment he said "reign as a god". No, you don't wanna change the world, you just have a god complex. But I do find it amazing how villains with seemingly the same goal (mass murder) like Suguru and Light are portraied so differently. Suguru went through emotinoal trauma, he had his entire ideology turned around by factors and situations he couldn't control. I do understand where he's coming from. But light is just a teenager with a god complex who didn't think 5 minutes ahead, in all honesty.
I don't know if I'd say they were justified, but they are understandable. A villain that you can understand why they do what they do and how they came to be as they are, is alot deeper and more relatable than alot of heroes.

Seroiusly? Jiren? You know, the DBS anime REALLY failed to emphasize that Zeno was GOING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING ANYWAY had it not been for Goku suggesting the tournament. But people tend to misconcieve the most obvious of things, so I won't bother giving a shit. Edit: Too bad that Zamasu isn't on this list.
I feel like Jiren shouldn't count cause you could put literally every TOP fighter on the list. Would've replaced him with someone like Keicho Nijimura or if you had to go with Dragon Ball, Cooler.
I wouldn't count Jiren as a villain at all. What counts as a villain? Fighting the hero? Okay, Vegeta will always be a villain then, but he's not, even though his only goal is to be better than Goku and the only way he can prove he's better is by beating Goku every time Goku powers up. Jiren was a hero for his Universe, trying to save their lives. Jiren didn't want to kill Goku or destroy Universe 7, he just wanted to protect his own Universe, like all the other fighters. TL;DR - I totally agree with you, Jiren shouldn't count.
@@Darkalius87 jiren was only main antagonist of the series who is opposed to protagonist and definitely not a villain. Only villain in dbs series was black Goku and zamasu and golden freiza in resurrection arc. The first manga villain is Moro
The only ones that I agree with cuz I've actually watch the shows are, dragon Ball z super jiren, Yu-Gi-Oh King thief bakura, Naruto Shippuden pain, Yu Yu Hakusho shinobu sensei and Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood scar.
I’m surprised the phantom troupe or Mureum from hunter x hunter. Sure, these guys are bad people, but the more you spend time with them and hear what they have to say, your like “well you do have a bit of a point”.
Pity?! For the likes of Gendo?! Don't make me laugh! I won't speak for others, but I would HAPPILY subeject him to a long and excruciatingly painful end! And that's if I'm feeling generous enough to let him die. Monsters like him deserve only damnation. Nothing more. As for the others, some I actually agree with, while others, no. Just no.

As someone who watched fairy tail I agree 😊

I don’t like villains. Sometimes I hate them, but when you learn about their tragic backstories and their reasons for turning to the dark side, you can’t help but feel sorry for them.
We still don’t like them, but that doesn’t mean we don’t pity them.
😊
I actually like villains more than heroes. They tend to be more interesting and entertaining most the time, esp. when done with a good backstory. Sometimes heroes tend to be more generic and too righteous. Villains are more relatable I think because tend made bad choices. And we all have had made those before. Plus they make us question our morality. I still like heroes too though. (Especially anti-heroes.)
I love villains. They r like real live people, mostly. The heroes r fake and fiction. Hard to relate to.
That's because some villains actually have their own understandable, personal and justifiable reasons on what they're thinking and doing.
Which makes them into who and what they truly are.
Just because they're evil,
It doesn't really mean they're truly evil.
If you hate villains, then they are doing a good job at being villains.
Light was never right, the death note just showed his true colors
He jumped off that slippery slope incredibly quickly.
He was right for 0.005 seconds
Light's justifications for doing what he did were misguided albeit well intentioned (he failed to factor in a shitload of socio-economic factors) and I do think he was a good person... up until the moment he "embraced the identity of Kira" and then he is just a monster until the end.
@@Psycoticlese And killing all those FBI agents and making one of them kill themselves in a place where no one would find her body was NOT jumping off the slope?
And this is why L has always been my favorite one.
He knew and was aware on what he was doing,
Until Light just have to kill him with the Death Note.
For real? I am so glad!
Where did you get this info?
@lisboah this info is spoilers for the epilouge story at the end of the overall main story.
I am forever a Gyutaro and Daki/Ume apologist!
Damn, Stain still gives me chills especially when he does that speech right before he dies! I understood him right then & there too when he said " ALL MIGHT IS WORTHY!"
Pain Talk-no jutsu'd Naruto with that cycle of hatred speech

The issue was that he blamed his entire family, not just Endeavor

Yep that is fine.
Light Yagami was just a Power hungry Sociopath with a God Complex.
I agree with you but I agree with him when it comes to certain criminals
And that is why L has always been my favorite.
Light's actions were noble at first he just wanted to rid the world of legit criminals. Then he started to go after people that just wanted to catch him like police officers and detectives and would even target criminals that did something small like theft.
Light was a good guy, he only changed targets when the actual villains came after him for doing what’s right.
I’m just glad Griffith isn’t on the list.
Awesome video!
Light being on this list was so absurd! He had zero justification, he just had a GOD complex then a means to fulfill it!

I mean wasn’t Goku’s motive to improve himself and get stronger? Plus, all the other universes would’ve been eradicated anyway. Thanks to the Magic Balls, it was all moot anyway.
Wait, Goku wasn't the villain of the Tournament of Power?
Bruh...
Well, Goku was literally the reason why the tournament happened in the first place so he sort of was.
Not really. Goku simply followed up on a promise. Zeno used it as a easy to address his own plans to erase universes
Zeno was planning on erasing weaker universes either way. Goku gave them a fighting chance.
Goku just gave xeno an easier way to erase people but doesn't mean people wanted to fight they where kinda forced to fight for their lives so you can sit there and say goku is innocent they where going to be erased either way you put it 2 wrongs don't make a right

I saw the doma on the thumb nail and I thought I had gone to a different universe were everyones psychopathic, but its only because of saki and gyutaro backstory
Sometimes even Evil has it's own personal reasons.
They just want to prove a point.
Degwin actually poisoned Zein to have complete power and even tried to kill Char and Sayla when they were children to prevent inner conflict

10:56 I’m reading this MHAxKH fanfic called “May Your Heart Go Beyond” and Sora was able to give stain a proper defeat all by himself
aha i wouldn't ever say that Light's motives were justifiable, sure his outward justification was to punish criminals as a method to improve the world, but we know from his character that that's a complete lie he tells to convince others (and the audience), and considering his megalomania and narcissism, it's a lie he likely has to tell himself as well, but we know his true motive, the one that resides in the deepest recesses of his soul, is simply the primal animalistic urge for power and control, as demonstrated by his literal dog-like behavior atop L's very own grave
Every shonen jump villain have justified motives and i don't blame them
Not all of them.
When was Frieza’s motives ever justifiable? The guy’s always been an irredeemable prick and he enjoys every second of it.

My favorite is Eren Yeager, obviously!
I always felt like stain was more of an anti hero personally. He acts on his morale code rather then malice but he still belongs on the list either way 💯
if you do a part 2 of this video add William James Moriarty(Moriarty the Portrait) & Tomura Shigaraki(My Hero Academia)

Kaguya was the only good Otsutsuki, funny enough
Actually Kaguya wanted to use the trees power deaths caused by its drain on planet notwithstanding to "prove" herself equal to the others of her race. Yet Id argue the peter rabbit and staying out of Mr Mcgreggers garden debate. Better not to do ur plan and stay away from where u are not wanted
Kaguya actually wanted to use the power of the tree to save herself from Momoshiki which was hunting her as we discovered im Boruto. She would sacrifice the whole world to be stronger.

If Light is here, why not Eren and Lelouch

They should've put Goku black or Zamasu
@@Darkalius87 jiren was only main antagonist of the series who is opposed to protagonist and definitely not a villain. Only villain in dbs series was black Goku and zamasu and golden freiza in resurrection arc. The first manga villain is Moro
@@thegameking3931 Antagonist I totally agree, because they usually oppose the protagonist. So that fits Jiren for sure.
Can we put Eren Yeager on this list
For me Pain and Shishio should have been top 5 at least, and where´s Zamasu from DB Super??
And who says the ends don’t justify the means?
The only ones that I agree with cuz I've actually watch the shows are, dragon Ball z super jiren, Yu-Gi-Oh King thief bakura, Naruto Shippuden pain, Yu Yu Hakusho shinobu sensei and Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood scar.
I can't believe you put Jiren as a villain while Goku and his big mouth were the true villains
Goku black or zamasu would've been better
@@Iikkxx35567 zamasu would be better because black Goku is zamasu from past
@@thegameking3931 yeah
As a thumbnail of Doma is shown lol
😊

Pain should be nr 1, and always Ashley da best
I’m surprised the phantom troupe or Mureum from hunter x hunter. Sure, these guys are bad people, but the more you spend time with them and hear what they have to say, your like “well you do have a bit of a point”.
The Phantom Troupe became even more sympathetic in the later manga chapters since we finally get why it was created in the first place.

BRO HOW IS MADARA NOT THERE
Just no.
