Part 82 - Chapter 4. Heading through the Death Frontier!
This place can obviously be confusing, but I got all directions you need, baby!
Check the video for directions from entrance to exit, power down and Bandit shoes!
If you use Rose and want Gladius, here's how you get it -
From the First Oasis at the second area -
Up, Right, Right, Down, Down!
It's important that you pick up Bandit Shoes and Power down. Being 2 of the best items you can possibly get.

It's believed that the Divine Tree is somewhere there in the Death Frontier according to a couple people in a Legend of Dragoon forum, seeing that the Tree is in a barren, desolate place. Though it is never marked on the map nor is it's location ever confirmed by any character during the game.

Can you return to the Death Frontier after reaching Zenebatos/Mayfill? I backtracked through some areas in disc 3 and couldn't get to the desert. I need Power Down and I don't want to start a new save just to get that 1 item.

Yes, you can. Using Coolon, the Wings of Savan which flies in immediately after you teleport to Zenebatos from Aglis, you can fly to Ulara to reach Death Frontier again.
