That certainly confirms the clock’s long exposure to salt air. I’m so glad you were able to bring this clock back from the edge.

WOW Super quality movement this 1942 U.S. Navy 24 Hour Chelsea 24 Hour Ships Clock, not very much damage considering "IN The Navy " precision timepiece is 82 Years Young. Sure hope the owner of this historic timepiece lets you Mr. Martin to do your "Magic" on this Snazzy timepiece. What an Honor to do work on this timepiece, of Chelsea that received the 1943 "E" award presented by The United States Government for "wartime production excellence. Merry Christmas James. I had one of those 24-hour Navy clocks in my bedroom; I think my Dad probably bought it at a war surplus store after the war. As a boy, I had never seen a 24-hour dial like that. I think it ran and even chimed on the hour (not sure, that was over 70 years ago).
