I do small engine repair and I get a lot of equipment because people don't want to do repairs. But it's usually cheap for me to repair and then sell it.
Question im the student here..this will be my first time doing this job..valve stem seal replacement...do i need to have a air compressor to do this job?
@@o11271978 honestly I couldnt say because ive never done it with air. I have done it with rope in a cylinder but you need to be really experienced to do that
Melvin k thanks for responding back my friend did a compression test and they had low compression can I fix it by buying new valves and lapping them or should I just cut my loose and sale it as a parts truck
Good job, it was very clear and simple

@@raymondpennock7707 parts.ford.com 1 spring will run you about $4-6.
Aaron is correct and its the best way but you can also use rope but thats a video in itself. Sorry for late response

Yes you use this same tool to remove the rocker, take the same steps but instead of removing the keepers you remove the rocker

You need one only if you plan to do the steam seals without removing the cylinder head

Absolutely
Can the seal been done in the truck???
Technically yes but you need to pump the cylinder up with air or some other method to keep the valve from falling into your engine
Ok i have done the valve steam seals before but i thought this three valve heads were different, thanks man for your reply...
Do you think this tool would do performance valve springs?
Not sure why it wouldnt.

Melvin k I have a the same engine i have a few leaking valve and exhaust leaks from your experience are they fixable
Yes. The exhaust leaks at the manifolds are very common on the 3v engine. Are you sure you have leaking valves, how was that diagnosed

Melvin k I would like to speak with you over the phone if you dont mind i more question but I have texting lol

@@santosgarcia9499 ok give me your number I dont mind calling
Would have been useful if it weren’t for the shaky camera.
You will have that from time to time. Hard to film with one hand and do a 2 hand job but hey maybe you can film a better one for everyone
Thanks
