I love it when people insult people they lose to! I play Foxhole and had this happen recently. See in that game they made the amazing design choice to have cross faction proximity voip...it goes about as well as you expect. I was playing back line logi and some guy who'd snuck through tried to kill me, in SC2 terms imagine a reaper losing to an SCV. This guy spent the 30 seconds before his character bled out raging about how bad I am after I had shot him. It was great!
I know it seems a bit strange, but as someone who still plays modern Age of Empires 2 the "Patrol" command is pretty typical to use. Most of the guides I read/watched when getting into it within the last few years actually recommend it. It does seem to have a different sort of attack priority as well - attack move tends to reroute to buildings pretty often while the patrol seems to go for units instead. Though the last part is a bit of anecdote on my part. So it could be someone who plays AoE2 right now. That being said, ignoring an enemy army to attack their Town Center when they already have 3 and losing your whole army for it generally isn't a part of gameplay strategy.
Fun fact: Carrot cake is a creation of WW2 when Britain was rationing sugar. People turned to the sweetness of carrots to make cake, creating carrot cake. After WW2 when carrots weren't looked to as sweetener, farms sacrificed sweetness and flavor in carrots for focusing on breeding for size since people preferred getting more "bang for their buck". If you ever get a chance, try a carrot cake recipe with some homegrown carrots and you'll notice an amazing difference.
@@Ulti_H Honestly, a good carrot cake is absolutely cracked. Probably a top 3 cake, definitely top 10. But finding a well-baked carrot cake is a fucking nightmare. Its easier to figure out who the fuck is on the balance council then to find someone who bakes a bomb carrot cake.
Some of the salt mines make me legit angry, but this one is absolutely hilarious ;D Real clown show, crestideac really took the cake here. And the knife.
I live in the southern United States in a state that is well known for its people enjoying cordless hole punchers so when someone says they know where I live and they are going to delete me my favorite response is "if you actually know where I live you probably aren't going to show up or if you do you probably aren't smart enough to be a threat" 🤣
I've had a strange and pretty frustrating two games of a guy under the username "GlassOnion" one time. I first played him when I was trying to practice Terran as I main Zerg and of course, mostly play Zerg. My protoss wasn't very good at that point either, but it was better than my terran at the time. So I got to work on my T, playing a fair few games until meeting this silver Zerg called GlassOnion. I played absolutely horribly, constantly having bad trades against his lings and banes, and he was spamming nydus wormss in my base, just pulling my army apart from putting agression on him and defending. So I died on that and irritated from it, I just gg'ed and left the game. Immediately he won the game he spammed in my whisper "hahahahahaha" for like 30 secs. So yeah, getting cheesed and insulted for it wasn't very fun. I asked him for a RE with my Zerg and unsurprisingly, he chickened out of that, saying "1-0 forever" then blocked me. I was a lot more angrier than I should have been at the time about it so I used a alt account and tried finding him with it. And, I did find him. It was a ZvZ with my Zerg and his, but he immediately left the game as soon as the game started so, i thought "Fuck it, I'll try terran again and try find him again" A few days later, after looking around the ladder with my Terran, I found him again. This time, I almost beat him but got too cocky. Since he was silver zerg and with the last game experience, I didn't think he would build a third base like you usually do as Zerg as I thought he just had two bases, especially with scouting his third. Nope, he had one, on his other third base side of the map. After terrorizing his base with a couple battlecrusiers, I began bming him, thinking it was over and I should be fine. Unfortunately, I still sucked hot dog shit with Terran then and I'm not that much better as Terran now so I talked shit in middle of a sc game and I got fucking slapped for it as GlassOnion turned the game around. I left, fumming at losing that game and of course, he came back in my whisper chat, spamming "hahahahaha" again with "2-0 forever now" and yeah, that made me very upset when that happened. Now these days, I'm more angry at myself than him because there were so many ways I could of have handled that situation when it happened but I chose the biggest L position possible for myself. So yeah, there is a embarrassing story of me not knowing what to do against a bm player and shooting myself in the foot repeatedly.
I've met some very disturbed players on sc2 especially back in 2021 when I played the most. It's best to just mute/ignore and focus on yourself. These people are not worth having a brain aneurysm over. Once you get into a heated argument with someone online and it gets to a point where your head starts hurting almost to the point of vomiting (which happened to me once just not in starcraft :D) that's when you know it's not worth wasting time with these people.
@@malachkah I agree 100% Ever since I watched the salt mines, I learned to just ignore/mute people and be done with it. I started playing Starcraft 1 then went as a young teen and went to StarCraft 2 a couple years later in 2019 and throughout those days I was always quite an emotional player back then
5:10 hey now, patrol attack is still the way to go in age of empires 2 today. the attack move is objectively worse (delay before units react and attack)
Maybe I'm waaaaay off, but I seem to remember the name of the player "socal"... Wasn't he in the Florencio Files, or another series of games covered by Pig ? Am I the only one or does that ring a bell ?
I wish i could have the mindset of crest. Set up reasonable objectives (kill the opponent's 3rd) and thats a win. Why does everything have to be so hard when you can take easier objectives and thus easier wins in your own head.
The bad news is that Crest has yet to arive with cake.... The good news is that I now have a new sponser in Nord VPN to help secure all your online data. Overall much less degrading than rolling around the sewage with Flo last month...
I haven't played in a while, but doesn't patrol avoid the issue of accidentally a-moving onto an enemy unit and just focus firing that unit? Patrol can't be queued to an enemy unit, so in theory there's a logic to it, right?
I haven't played SC since Briod War, and even then I was a filthy UMS player but this match by create physically and psychologically hurt. I am not some amazing melee player, but I could have won that easily. 😂

In my experience though there are just people having a bad day, deep on the tilt train and they just play at way below their skill level and blame imbalance/their opponent on it rather than taking a break. Of course if there's any evidence of someone smurfing I'll make sure I don't cover those games in future
not saying that the kids playing sc2 will ever do good on a threat like that, but you very much can find the general address an IP is connected to. and it is very easy to do
"I have to go" (leaves the game)
Then proceeds to stay in chat and argue.
Wow.
They wanted to use the knife to spread their units a bit better.

the knife is clearly used for creepspread XD

salt mines is my new guilty pleasure. I haven't played since WoL, but nothing is as fun as watching people raging on ladder. It's truly timeless.
