If you have listened & studied Vinnie as long as I have then this is just 6 minutes out of his lifetime, believe me there are tonnes to be sifted through all of which is priceless.
@@EliteDrummerSeries I am not far off owning everything Vinnie has performed on & with. Just when I think I have it all an album unknown from way way back appears, or a new album gets released so I really try to stay on top of it whether it's old or new, it's all Vinnie to me. I shall have a think because this isn't gonna be easy. I will be in touch. Kind Regards.
@@EliteDrummerSeries After a weekend of thinking about my favorite performances from Vinnie, 3 albums stand out. The 3rd is Tim Western & Shelby Flint entitled "Providence", this album is years old, great production with a mixture of fusion & ballads, fine playing from Vinnie. The 2nd is Nick Kershaw's "The Works" album, brilliant album. My 1st choice has to be Allan Holdsworth's "Secrets" album, I have a bootleg recording of a Vinnie clinic I attended where Vinnie is ask this Question, "Vinnie, do you feel that playing with Zappa was the last time where you really got to play your ass off", Vinnie replies, "I think the last time I really got to go to the moon and back has to be on Allan's record, also on Allan's live gigs". So there you have it my friend, my top 3 Vinnie go gets. Kind Regards. Jonathan.
