I think it was super cool in 2016 when we not only got an 8th generation bundle of remastered versions of the two LEGO Harry Potter games but also an entirely new wave of Harry Potter LEGO sets to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the original book.
agreed, the lego star wars games got remade, i think these games could do with one as well, as one big set, maybe with more story and more characters to choose from
yeah, its like characters not talking in games like fallout and the elder scrolls versus being voied, there's more freedom for interpretation and silliness
@@Gotronk i meant the player character, fallout didn't have a player voice until fallout 4 as far as i'm aware, aside from grunts and scream for combat
in goblet of fire they show Dumbledor giving Cidric's dad a manual to rebuild lego toys which I thought was more hilarious than any joke and all movies combined lol
I believe the "Pumpkin Car" at 1:07 is actually a nod to the six Mini Outspan Orange Cars that were used to promote Outspan Oranges in the 70s. You can see one of them at the British National Motor Museum in Beaulieu. I went as a kid.
@@mysticmarble94 just pointing out the obvious. Not mad. I just find it bizarre how some people comment quickly when it’s clear they dont have an informed opinion about what they’re talking about. Calm down, it’s a public forum after all.
only played the console version as mentioned before, i do like how you get to play as characters you never could before like madam pomfrey and tom riddle, also the ability to unlock characters for replay is fun, i would like to see them do a remake perhaps like they did with the star wars lego games though
I always thought a message saying "The Chamber of Secrets" beside a flashing neon light saying "Now Open" wood have been a very Lego Game-esque way of conveying the chamber was open
Was disappointed you missed LEGO Creator Harry Potter in the last one and more disappointed you missed LEGO Creator Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for this one. Ah well.
I love the Lego games that don’t talk and do the pantomime instead. But after watching this it has made me realize that if you didn’t know the source material first, the interpretations you can receive can be wild lol
"The de-gnoming is a nice homage to the original games." No, I think it's an homage to the source novel 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,' which contains a scene where Harry and Ron toss gnomes out of a garden.
I'm currently trying to complete the Harry Potter Lego games years 1-4 and 5-7 on the PS4 to 100%. So far it's been three days of killing nature in the Forbidden Forest
@@charlottestreet3301 I also previously did it with my sister and we were maybe line 98,8% done and all we needed was Voldemort. We couldn't enter Knockturn Alley though because every time we tried, the game crashed. It's a bit buggy sometimes
Never forget the oddity of the portable game from ds on the ios platform too. All the fun of the psp/ds game but now with your finger in the way. Both games where free at one point in 2012/2013 tho for ios.
I absolutely love these comparisons! You should cover the fantastic beasts set for Lego dimensions, it added I believe six to eight levels of the first fantastic beasts movie.
Omg Play Mobile games reviews would be amazing in your style. Or even a Fast Food/Video Game crossovers - Burger King, Dominoes, Chex, Pepsi, etc all had them.
I like your videos but they have started to feel very very rushed, you used to do proper comparisons between versions and now you're just lumping them together, you talk about the ps3 version for 6 minutes going over the plot and gameplay mechanics and then rushed through the rest instead of outlining how the versions actually differ from each other.
I've noticed this quite some time ago. Just compare this video to other videos from about a year ago (for example the original Harry Potter comparison videos). The quality went way down. These videos are no longer about comparison but about quickly showing a few gameplay videos with added jokes and calling it a day.
Even though I hate terfrowling with all the deepness of my heart, I wish we ever got some sort of remake of lego harry potter, with voice acting and more interesting levels and spells.
Harry and Ron just wearing Crabe and Goyle's hair on top of thier heads is genuinely hilarious to me.
that is sirius his bike 5:20

@@professorbaxtercarelessdre1075 Technically, The Skywalker Saga isn’t a remake. It’s more of a completely different game based on the same movies.
@@striderjason9863 well whatever it is i think more lego games based on ip they've covered previously could be fun
@@professorbaxtercarelessdre1075 Yeah. Like Ninjago. Which is a very strong franchise, yet it hasn’t gotten a videogame in nearly six years.
@@striderjason9863 never played that one, i only played lego harry potter and some lego star wars, tried lego worlds but didn't like it
I do prefer the Lego games where they didn't talk. I like the pantomime animations the developers had to come up with to explain the story.

Just a note, the DS/PSP version also came to iOS & Android.
One thing I really appreciate is how you give us callbacks to your old Harry Potter videos. The comparisons are awesome 😎

The jinxes aren't exclusive to the Ds version. You can get them in the diagon alley shop in the main HD versions.
4:24 I think it’s very thick glass actually that would make more sense perhaps even with a spell that makes the glass indestructible.
Also it is canonically under the lake, this was established in the movies and later added to Pottermore.
Another Flandrew Classic

I had the Wii version.
Evil Freddy Mercury with classics such as we are last place and we will roll you

Can I point out that mandrakes cries are fatal, so Harry is playing pranks and can possibly be committing murders. To Azkaban with him!!!!
This my be worthy to check out. The differences between the Series of Unfortunate Event games for consoles, PC and handhelds.

Do you think you'll mention the two Lego Creator Harry Potter games in this series?
Thx for the videos😊, now I want to replay the psp version of those games😂
0:43 So Chamber of Secrets takes place before the end of Phantom Menace. Interesting timeline, but I’d believe it.
Suggestion: prince of Persia forgotten sands has dramatically different ps3, wii, ds, and psp versions if I recall.

Thanks Flandrew, forgot about the peachy gnome arses 😐

What about the Lego Creator Harry Potter games for Philosophers Stone and Chamber of Secrets? :o
I honestly would prefer a LEO chamber of secrets, video game individually actually for all seven stories
