Thank you for the way you approach this. I use your videos as part of my staff meetings. We have some tough kids but amazingly, as you get to know them, they will have your back!
I bring that kid a donut and pull him/her first thing in the morning. I tell them how i need them to be a leader in my class, etc. I make a huge effort to get to know them. A couple of times, they carried that donut bag with them all day! And it has worked every time.
