Really interesting story, it always good to have stories from the people who were actually there, sadly in a few short years all these people will be gone and so too their stories with them. It is worth noting that even people who were there have false recall or some slips in memory and to most Elvis fans you will know that Elvis did not have the Lisa Marie Convair 880 at the time of the Madison Square Gardens concerts, this would arrive later in 1975, but I am sure the story is the same just with maybe a different plane. First of all, in 1972 when Elvis played Madison Square Gardens; he didn’t have the Lisa Marie jet. That wasn’t until 1975. Also, Elvis wasn’t wearing track suits when he travelled at that point. Dicks memory is not so good during this interview.
Exactly. Dick Grob embellished all of his Elvis stories, and even made some up completely.
I believe you are correct. Thanks for pointing out these errors. Elvis' memories apparently can only be milked so much.
