Weird today, I was called by somebody claiming to be from EE. They claimed that they could get my tarriff down by 30%. I was immediately suspicious. They connected me to their supervisor, again weird. The supervisor immediately started asking me for personal information to access my account, I asked where they were based and they hung up the phone. As soon as I was asked for personal information I immediately recalled you saying "you know, the sort of information you should never share with a stranger...". I checked the number online afterwards and sure enough many people had reported the number. I think your channel is amazing for making people aware of these scammers in all their deceptive, evil forms. Thank you!
When I get a call from an unknown number, I answer and sit in silence for 5-15 seconds, sometimes there's background noise. In the last six months or so, only pre-recorded scam messages then play, all others hang up. If I do speak first, I usually say 'Allo?', like some French and Spanish speakers answering the phone, then about half the time it's an ordinary spam caller and the other half it's a scam caller who hangs up because they don't speak Spanish. I don't speak Spanish either.
I always follow the rule of if they're legit they'll call me back. If you feel even somewhat suspicious, hang up on them. A legitimate company will call you back within the week. Also, at least where I live, government agencies always communicate through the mail, never over the phone

Sometimes I wonder why the scammers don't drop you earlier, figuring out you're just messing with them. But then I guess we don't really know what conversations with actual victims really look like. This behaviour could be the norm for all we know.

im so happy you still use the John Warosa song
or was it Barosa?🤔
I love that song. Makes me laugh every time I hear it.
Yes, to both.
Hiya, Mike. Have you ever thought of these scammers as a sort of Turing test for credulous people?
what do you define as a turing test ?
@@LOLWHATBRO You've never heard of a Turing test?
Three cheers for the best UA-camr ever, Atomic Shrimp!!! Hip, hip, hurrah!
Hip, hip, hurrah!
Your story sums have me laughing so hard I've had a coughing fit 🤣
What a great take on "no you".
From my point of view.. it is you who is highly intelligent
1. No idea
2. B
3. 42
4. I don't even know how many people there are
5. 4000.2
According to AI, the answer to number 1 is 9.
It followed the rule of multiplying the previous term by 3, then subtracting the second previous term. At least it admitted it was wrong after I called it out.
Also according to AI, the answer to question number 4 is 56. Take that as you will.
Gotta love the scambaiting if you want to make a throwback to your first scambaiting video Just say OK Is testing out if it still works im interested to know
Great video, it's unfortunate that it's getting harder for you to bait these scammers. I would be interested to see how they respond to you if that $1.5milUSD was too small an amount to worry about for a billionaire like you 🤔
Haha!
Something occurred to me which I do not think has been asked before. You have now on several occasions shown us a brief glimpse of one of your mail inboxes flooded with scam emails.
This made me wonder, when there are so many scammers, sending so many scam emails to the same people, do they not worry people will become suspicious when the same person ends up with emails from 50 different places offering him massive prizes?
Does that thought never cross the scammer’s minds?
People are dumber than you think.
Always delightful to wake up to a scambaiting video from you
Two first names seems to be a running theme with scammers.
Around the three minute mark, I’m having SAT flashbacks. The horror
I'm assuming the scamers want steam cards so they can purchase tons of steam games for collecting steam cards.
I watched a bunch of videos from your channel. they seem to be strangely arbitrary and unrelated, but often interesting. curious.
Strangely arbitrary is exactly my niche! 😂
Has the soul called John Barosa/Warosa ever appeared on a text scam?
you know, the worst thing is, legit emails can sound like utter garbage at 3:50, I even accused a person of being a bot, and then apologized profusely because they just seemed to be really bad at english. So much for customer support....
No purple things are buttons. Love logic!
An unprovoked email that opens with "Good morning from Nigeria" probably won't go very far with me.
Mr Brian Moynihan was the Bank of America scammer from the community episode right? He even used the same script
I wonder what happens if you send a scammer an already redeemed gift card code, you only know it's redeemed once you try to use it
