Hello, I am a complete amateur, but I was wondering if I could perhaps try my hand at transcribing to sheet music your versions of a few of these songs? I would of course credit you.
@@totallyrealnotfakelifeadvi7547 I did, but they are still rather rough so I haven't shared them yet. When I have some free time, I'll work on them some more.
May I also suggest "Le Déserteur" by great French writer Boris Vian(who has other songs that deserve a look). Joan Baez has sung it in French. I heard that the Chad Mitchell Trio did it in English, but have not found it. The popular French singer Mouloudji risked his career in recording it in the 50's. It was banned from French radio but became popular nonetheless.
The vocal & the instrumental are quite good & the song itself deserves to be archived as historically significant (regardless of one's exact partisan position on US engagement in Vietnam).
@@monika.alt197 Three arrows means anti communisim, anti monachy and anti facism. This symbol was first used by SPD(Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands).
May I reprint your play on bilibili (kinda Chinese YTB) ? Due to fanaticism for war in homeland, I want more people to hear the anti-war voice. Of course your source will be noted. It will be grateful if you permit.
Gonna need a "Joseph Biden Told the Nation" remix before long, it's looking like
Looks like your wish was granted. It really fits for the modern day/Joe Biden too.
Ask and ye shall receive
The fact that he's sending 100 soldiers to Israel now makes me think he really wanted that second chance in 2024, he's a true democrat💀💀💀
wake up bro he made one yoooo
I just have to laugh at the fact that this song calls LBJ ‘Big Daddy’
El BJ
Jumbo is quite large, so it fits
big daddy refers to USAF
@al1ce90 There’s a LBJ campaign song that says he is “one big daddy to your sons and daughters all”
Wake up babe, new Monsieur Jack upload just dropped
Truth is, LBJ lost in '68 because he got roasted too hard
It’s a shame. HHH would have been great
@@greggblade810 he would've just been another midwestern dem bought out by the rich and powerful and made to throw the working man under the bus
Brilliant, as always my friend
Congrats on 7k, always my favorite youtuber! I always share your music on leftist groups i run online

@@tyler70284 that’s cool (: I’d really love to see some of it!
@@tyler70284 Please @ me when you are completed so I can give it a try!
Johnson´s been really quiet since this dropped...
I somehow missed when you first posted this, so I'm watching this after your modern update.
congrats on the 7k subs
I was hoping you would to this one! ✊❤️
Congrats on seven thousand subs! Great as usual, have you ever considered doing Scottish songs, like Flower of Scotland?
Could I also suggest Ballad of a Wobbly by David Rovics?

I have the sudden urge to move to Canada.
Well done - as usual!

Once again your Version is better than the original one
This version is good but can’t compete with the original by Tom Paxton.
Great music there Jack! Will definitely subscribe
And so did so many presidents a since then. So many anti-war songs are just as true today as they were then.
What is the symbol in your profile picture? I swear I've seen it before.

Brillant work, Jack! Do you intend on ever releasing your stuff on Apple Music?
I'm surprised this was written back in '65.

I was just listening to this song two days ago...
If someone paid you to put in the extra work to make sheet music, would you do it?
I wouldn't know how, unfortunately
I believe it exists online now (:

Sleepy Biden Told the Nation...

Great cover. I really like your voice. The piano is great too, but I know less about that instrument than vocal chords.
A song with a similar theme is Pete Seeger's "Waist Deep in the Big Muddy". ua-cam.com/video/uXnJVkEX8O4/v-deo.html
