An american hero. Killed slave owners with a broad sword. What a legend rest in power John Brown!

" His zeal in the cause of freedom was infinitely superior to mine. Mine was as the taper light, his was as the burning sun. Mine was bounded by time. His stretched away to the silent shores of eternity. I could speak for the slave; John Brown could fight for the slave. I could live for the slave; John Brown could die for the slave. "

This man didn't have to give his life to end slavery. He wasn't a slave himself. But still, he was ready to die to save other people. He saw injustice and he knew he had to do something. And there's nothing I can respect more than that. Rest in f*cking Power, John Brown.

In elementary school, my class took a trip to Harpers Ferry and we were taught "history". The way they described it was that John Brown raided and terrorized the citizens of harpers ferry and the might Army came and killed him. It was like John Brown was the terrorist in that situation. I went back years later and learned what he actually did. I love John Brown

“Now soldiers all of freedom, strike, while strike you may,

For the dawn of old John Brown has brightened into day,

When the union's inspiration through the workers' blood shall run

But the union makes us strong
    Solidarity forever
    Solidarity forever
    Solidarity forever
For the union makes us strong
It is we who plowed the prairies, built the cities where they trade
Dug the mines and built the workshops, endless miles of railroad laid

But the union makes us strong
    Solidarity forever

For the union makes us strong

But without our brain and muscle not a single wheel can turn
We can break their haughty power, gain our freedom when we learn
That the union makes us strong
    Solidarity forever
    Solidarity forever
    Solidarity forever
For the union makes us strong
In our hands is placed a power greater than their hoarded gold
Greater than the might of atoms, magnified a thousand fold
We can bring to birth a new world from the ashes of the old

    Hey
I really love your cover of both songs !
I wanted to ask you a favor
I live in France and I'm currently in quarantine with COVID and I don't have much to do in order to pass time. So I started a documentary project explaining the root causes of the American civil war.
See In France the narrative about the conflict is very backward. Pretty much all the sources you can find are basically the Lost Cause of the Confederacy, explaining that the conflict had nothing to do with slavery, that it was because of states rights, tarifs etc... Even on Wikipedia where most people get their sources, this narrative is present. The KKK page even talks about the clan in a positive light...
My idea was to make a 20 minute long documentary in french explaining the true causes of the conflict. Therefore I wanted to use your music to illustrate a segment about John Brown and Bleeding Kansas.
Of course you would be credited for your work, but to be honest I don't expect the video to be a massive hit and I doubt I'd be able to monetize it so I can't really compensate you. I know it takes a lot of investment and money to make content like yours so I would completely understand if you were not okay with that. It's just that I think it's good cause and the topic is dear to my heart, and so is your music.
Anyways, whatever your answer is, keep up the good work with those amazing songs and covers!
    Cheers!
