  • A new episode of Borderless Africa. Here, Goshers rides through the Victoria Island in Lagos Nigeria to have an interview with Kelvin Jibad from Metalic Bull Ridaz. This continues my adventure into the Africa nations to make my voice be heard about the need for Africa to go borderless and visaless.
As i move on the continent, I also want to know Africa and everything that is in it. In terms of food, culture, lifestyle, education and all that pertains to the people I come across. Everything captured herein in this video is for the purpose of entertainment, education, and promotion.
I have compiled a lot of beautiful photos of my travels on my INSTAGRAM channel at goshers_ , do well to follow me.

Victoria Island is just one of the islands in Lagos. There are islands in Lagos that are not accessible by roads because they separated by the sea. You can only access them by boats. Example is Takwa bay Islands. Gberefu islands. And snake island. Banana island is accessible by road. Banana island is part of Ikoyi.

@@youme1414 Bro, I played at that Ikoyi park as a child before it the area was sandfill and there was no Banana Island or Parkview estate, it was Turnbull road. Banana Island is a man-made island that is slightly curved in shape like a banana which you know and it is located in the Lagos Lagoon and is connected to IKOYI Island by a dedicated road which is linked to the existing road network near Parkview Estate.

You rode into Lagos Island, through EKo bridge, one of the three bridges connecting Mainland Lagos with the Islands. Lagos Island.
Lagos Island is where you have the Marina train station and used to be the old Central Business District (CBD), where you have the headquarters of the old banks, the colonial offices, residence of the Oba (King) of Lagos and the indigenes live. Lagos Island is also home to Balogun market, the largest wholesale and retail market. This explains the heavy traffic into the Island as most people live on the mainland and work/trade on Lagos Island.
Further down is Victoria Island, which together with Ikoyi Island, used to be the residential area for top civil and captains of industries. Victoria Island was also home to most of the embassies and where expatriates live at a time, until the movement of the capital of Nigeria to Abuja in 1991 and Victoria Island gradually turned to the new Central Business District, compiling the old residents to move to nearby Lekki peninsula and Ikoyi Island and other parts of Lagos. In all, Lagos is a megacity, with a population estimated at 20 million.
