I have found time and again that staying laying down in bed after waking to be a horrible idea, as I usually go straight back to sleep. I can’t allow myself to be slow in the mornings because if I do then I will procrastinate and I won’t get to everything I need to.
People have different chronotypes and circadian rhythms. So some need to wake up slow and others need to get up right away.

Was encouraging to know you don’t wear makeup every day either 😂 I so wish I did have the time to wear it but in this season with a baby I just don’t. I also wear it maybe 2 times a week and one of those times being Sunday as well!
This was fun! I allow myself to lay awake a few minutes before hopping out of bed. It really does help!

I like trying to wake up in bed too. I just can't jump right up. I enjoyed seeing your morning routine. A little similar to mine, but I get up later.

I just ordered my built bar cookie dough bars. I just ran out, and it was time to stock up! They really are the best!
Teaching kids to do laundry is the hardest. They never have enough to do a load with just their own clothes, and I don't want to waste the water/energy. So I just have one help every time I do a load. That way they are at least familiar with the machine. thanks for sharing. 💕
I use to think the same thing, but we are a family of 7 and each person has their own laundry day. Although some loads are less than others, it has been such a huge weight off of me. I've been married for almost 24yrs and I have ALWAYS been behind in laundry, but no more!! Praise the Lord! I too thought I'd be using more water and energy, but I belive it to be the opposite. Give it a shot. Each person has their own laundry basket and the kids learn to pick up after themselves. Even my 2yr old puts her clothes in her basket. If I could just get my 22 yr old to,lol

I wake up slow, too. In the nervous system rush = danger. I do my best to work with my nervous system to feel more calm and peaceful and less anxious.

Ashlee, I am wondering if I need to start with year 1 or TGTB history? We have already studied most of the topics in year 1….I want to switch from Sonlight, it seems they do a better job weaving in biblical history than Sonlight. Do you think that’s a correct observation? Also, what year has been your fav? Thanks so much for your help!

Do you use the She reads Truth bible? If so I have the same one and really love it! Also... all your dogs are so sweet... what is your puggle's name? Our first dog was a puggle ( Eddie ) he passed away a couple years ago. Whenever I see yours it always makes me smile. 😊

I'm wanting to make reading my Bible daily a better habit...how do you decide which book to start with or are you reading in a particular order?
I’ve been using The Bible Recap… it’s a chronological plan & you read through the Bible in a year! My third year through & since reading this way, I’ve understood the Bible so much better!
I’ve done all types of things!
Gospels in order
Old Testament in order
Just reading the psalms or proverbs
Following a Bible plan.
And just choosing a book to study!

Robin Titus do you happen to have the she reads truth Bible? They have a Bible plan in the Bible. It breaks down each book and gives a schedule of what to read that month. It's really neat and very doable.
