Bring back Ozzie! He's exactly what this team needs!
On another podcast, A.J. Pierczinski asked Lance Lynn to say what Middleton got wrong. Lynn just grinned and said nothing.
For God's sake, Jerry, sell the team! Don't make your heirs do it. They want the cash!
I don’t think Micheal Reinsdorf wants to sell the team
I love Ozzie. He isnt scared to criticize the team.
Yes!! He’s not a yes man
I am a Yankees fan and I remember going to Yankees games in the 1980s when baseball was in fact baseball. Yankees were playing the White Sox and Ozzie was the shortstop who made all the plays, had great speed and was an excellent contact hitter. He was also an excellent manager after his playing career. He needs to get back in the dugout as manager.
I agree with the sentiment but the Sox used their nostalgia pick on Tony. Ozzie would have been a better choice.
He's the best thing to happen to that franchise. Outside the 1910s, they haven't won a ring. He helped that.
He’s blackballed because he said he respects Castro
@@punch1420I think they were high when they picked LaRussa. That guy was 1 million years old. I remember a game last year against the Yankees he brought in Joe Kelley for his first outing after being on the IL and he was just pitching like hot garbage and he didn’t have anything up in the pen. The camera zoomed in on LaRussa and swear to god that man was asleep behind those sunglasses (at night nonetheless).
AJ Pollock when he was traded to my M's at the start of the season, he was happy/ VERY HAPPY, strangely enough because he turned down millions. Now I know why..
I love Ozzie. He is THE man!! Ozzie deserves to be head coach again. He would not have put up with these Sox players and smacked sense into them.
Ozzie should be hired as manager. Pedro Grifol was a colossal mistake.
Ozzie for manager
I’m done blaming the managers the front office keeps hiring them 🤷🏻♂️
Hearing hawk at the end and not being happy has let me know how far down this whole organization has gone and how far gone we are as a whole this is extremely depressing
To me pitchers calling out the leadership is a direct shot to the supposed “leader” Tim Anderson
Lol what? How did u reach that conclusion
@@andresenriquez6793 who is the face of the position players of the white Sox ? Who’s the “face” of the white Sox ? It’s Tim
@@BigZeustwothreeuhhh no
@@jaba8625 all the pitchers were calling out position players
@@BigZeustwothree And there is the problem. He needs to go
We are looking at the damn answer . Ozzie needs to come back!
Moncada Should have been traded instead of Burger, that was a stupid trade. Moncada has done nothing for the Sox, he is always hurt and is probably the most overrated player on that team.
Moncada has no trade value because he can't even play half a season. It isn't his fault but he is physically damaged goods.
@@johnshepherd9676 they would have been better off to give him away for future consideration, or just release him, instead they got rid of a guy that could end up leading the league in HR's, if not this year then in the future, Moncada even healthy was overrated on offense and defense. He stunk at 2B
@@dougturngren5027 You won't get any argument from me on Burger.
No one wants Moncada
@@michaelslusarz139 yeah, I am sure you are right, I wouldn't want him if I was a mlb gm
seems like Ozzie wants to come back.
Everybody is too scared to call out TA or hold him accountable so everybody in that clubhouse is walking on egg shells
Hold him accountable for what exactly?
@@machinebuilder3535thinking he's the next Jackie Robinson. 13% of the population for ya
@@JohnWick-vh2qy that’s a great example the white Sox could’ve talked to Tim about that and said what he meant to say was Jackie inspired Tim to be the best version of himself easy clean up
@@machinebuilder3535 I’ve been watching Tim push guys off the bag for years now and umpires have been letting him get away with that teams have been taking note also he has been talking down to other teams rookies for example the Oakland As pitcher in the playoffs n Cleveland’s rookie
Tim has been our sole consistent batter averaging over .300 every year since he was drafted excluding Jose Abreu. Tim is having one bad season this year but can you blame him?? Supposedly, Grandal smacked Tim for calling him out as a non-team player who did not want to be with the team during a series and instead, Grandal wanted to go home. Tim was being a good team player by calling out Grandal for his non-team behavior. Cueto called out lazy players last year and Hahn got mad which is why Cueto was not re-signed by the Sox.
I'm tired of flashy players that are club house cancers.Get some club house leaders and sign Ozzie as manager and get the Frick out of his way.
Rick and Kenny are just a small part of the problem. The biggest problem without a doubt is Jerry. It is hard to be successful when you have an owner who clearly does not care. There are those who will argue with me using the fact that the team won the World Series in 2005 with Jerry at the helm. Yes, that is a fact that I cannot deny. The White Sox winning in 2005 was nothing short of a miracle. One of those years when absolutely everything went the right way. I had told my family to enjoy it because I knew damned well that we would never again see that at least not in my lifetime. I am now 71 years old and it breaks my heart that I was so right. Our problems are just too many to list, but it begins with Jerry. We also have extremely weak talent evaluators, and a pitiful training staff. I along with lot of White Sox fans was disgusted by the Jake Burger trade. I have been a White Sox fan for well over fifty years and this is the first year that I have not attended a single game and that is not about to change anytime soon. There are many of us who feel the same way. If they want us to return to the ballpark they better get serious about providing a better product. We need Jerry to sell the team. That is the best thing that he could do for us at this time.
Why did they trade Burger when Miami wanted Jimenez? 🤦🏻
Apparently they like this lefty pitcher. But I wouldn't have done it
Well, Ozzie is def drunk 🤣 🤣 but im all for it ! Bring back ozzie!!!
I’m a Cubs fan so take this for what you will, I think the White Sox made a mistake in bringing La Russa over Ozzie. That team was young and full of energy and Old man La Russa literally sucked the life out of the team. For example, I truly feel he ruined Yermin’s career by punishing him for hitting that home run. Such a shame.
Thanks for your excellent comments and I agree with you. La Russa destroyed Yermin's confidence and cost us his hot bat.
Some Cub fans get it!!! Absolutely correct!!!
Ozzie spittin Facts!!
This all started with the James shields trade
Ozzie should manage Chicago. But a lot of players would have to be traded. He is old school but he cares about the players and the game
White Sox organization is afraid of Ozzie but in my opinion that makes it even more if a reason for him to manage this ball club
Ozzie's description of Thanksgiving sounds a little closer to Festivus
Does Kenny talk anymore? I would love to hear from him.
He is hiding under his desk. Kenny does not want to be accountable.
@llee8825 I have to agree with you. Is he just a figurehead now? There was a point in time when he wouldn't shut up, but now you can't find him.
Ozzie would have been in 1st place with the same team. Shame Hahn was too stupid to hire him, instead of Sleepy Pedro.
I wonder if this would have been a problem if Rick Renteria was still around.
He had his own issues. Bullpen management being the main one.
@@jaba8625 yes, I know all about his bullpen management problems. I'm talking about the culture and the clubhouse.
@turbografxfan he was a players coach so I'm sure it would've.
The team made constant progress and played with enthusiasm under Ricky. No one complained about lack of hustle. The team was gelling and poised to win. Tony was handed a good team on the cusp of being great. Disrespecting Ricky was the big mistake.
❤ Ozzie!
“Yom Kippur??” Hahaha
I am still pissed we didn't hire Ozzie as manager
White-sox should follow Cubs clubhouse... Or better yet follow STL CLUBHOUSE
Down goes Anderson..... Down goes Anderson! 🤣🤣 Maybe TA shouldn't of said to Ramirez " I want to fight" 🤣
Ozzie campaigning for a return to the Sox dugout. Bring him back
Get rid of Hahn and Williams.
I think Guillen was a great manager and player but man I can’t understand like 80% of what he says. They need to hit him with the subtitles usually reserved for people in northern uk.
WTF is Ozzie talking about somebody had this man for hashish and make sure his coffee cup isnt full of rum! 🤣😂 I'm Latino, this man is about the KO the English language.
It is hard to learn a second language. My Asian mother has been in the US for 53 years and her English is worse than Ozzie's. I'm learning Spanish and it is so difficult especially since I can't roll my R's. lol
Bringing back Ozzie will not solve the situation. Reinsdorf selling the team to someone that seriously wants to win is the answer.
16:14 should tell you all you need to know. This dude isn’t gonna be back and he knows it right here. Obvious to me.
Tim Anderson this is what happens when you get Over Smart and square up to fight, you got Clocked !
Ozzie Guillen when he was the manager back then: " you come in early, stand in front when the national anthem plays and we wont have a problem. Show respect or we will have a problem".
"Glass Jaw" Anderson went down hard just like Rousey against Holmes.
White Sox have to burn this whole thing down an get an entirely new 26-man roster. Tim Anderson, Luis Robert, and Dylan Cease all should be playing somewhere else. This combination of players will never get it done.
Luis Robert?
As a CUBS fan, I have known for a long time that the Sox were dysfunctional. Reinsdorf sucks big time. Everything he touches, burns. Bulls and Sox are in disarray. Thank God for the Cubs.
Chuck, shutup about culture and leadership. Leaders will show up on their own. Culture doesn't win games. Good players win games. You can build your precious culture and leadership after entering the World Series. OZZIE KNOWS.
The white sox have good players but no culture. How’s that working out for them?
"leaders will show up on their own" -- rick, is that you?
If a top 5-10 manager cannot save this team, I think it's time to clean house. It's like every time this team thinks they need to make changes, they do the wrong thing. This time, it's obviously the players. 2 or 3 years ago, it was probably Hahn. But now Hahn made some good moves, now everyone is trying to get rid of him. This team is cursed. It almost seems like they are trying to turn into the A's and move to Mexico City or Montreal or something. If the white sox move to Montreal-I'm rooting for the Reds.
Listening to Guillen talk is painful
Old school baseball culture requires you to throw at Ramierz for team honor but there would be someone in the club house to deal with TA. Carlton Fisk would have b!tch slapped a long time ago.
There are no leaders on the White Sox. The whole core players of the team lack leadership skills and qualities. Robert Jr, Tim Anderson, Eloy Jimenez, even Yoan Moncada are all childlike. The only possible player I can see being a leader is Andrew Vaughn. Yasmani Grandal, as much as the sox are paying him and the fact that he is a catcher, should be that guy who's the team leader and keeps his teammates in check and reminds them if they're slipping up, but he's not. Tim Anderson was never that guy, I dont care what anyone says. Him literally initiating the physical fight and getting knocked out by Ramirez shows that he is not a leader, he is a man child. Abreu imo was never that guy. He might've stayed quiet and set examples by playing everyday and being professional, but I never felt like he was a true leader.
The white sox hired the wrong manager.
Tim Glass jaw Anderson! Lol 😂 pow
Ozzie stating that he does not want to manage is a crock. There is nothing that he wants more than that. I like Ozzie and there is no doubt that the man knows and loves baseball, but he needs to accept that his managing days are history. It is not lack of talent that prevents Ozzie from managing. It is his failure to control that mouth. Ozzie still has not learned to think before speaking.
When Ozzie was manager he complained Iguchi had a translator and the latin players didn't have one. Yet Ozzie speaks spanish and was hired to speak to the latin players. He confused even them with his broken english. No wonder the Sox dont want him for manager, he cant make any sense in any language with anyone. What a goofy interview and video.
Chuck, talk in normal voice. This isn't an audition for an animated film.
Ozzie is a little too long winded and doesn't really say anything we don't already know. I like him but I'd rather see/hear Ryan McGuffy with Chuck.
Ozzie talks a lot of nonsense plus he interrupts the other gentleman sitting there.
“I perhaps overestimated the strength in that room to deal with adversity “ f you Rick Hahn
what long time retired players have to say about todays game doesnt really matter or mean that much
