My hubby has been deployed over seas 3 times during our anniversary. We waited a year to celebrate but made is special. Also he's a fire fighter so we have had very few anniversaries in 17 years that we spent together, but always found a way to celebrate. ❤

OMG My mom's senior apartment building has the same kind of area where people put things that might otherwise go to the trash. She's gotten really nice things there that people recycle instead of throw away. 😺

Idea for your anniversary trip. I know you both seem to like exotic places and this well may bot be that exotic but it sure is relaxing. How about a trip to the Northeast part of tbe US snd get a bed and breakfast place in Marthas Vineyard. June is still techniallg off season so it might be a little cheaper then say july or august. You would have to fly into Boston though and rent a car drive down to woods hole and take the ferry. I might ne prejudice being feom MA but i have always loved taking the ferry to the vineyard and bike around tbe island and of course eat eat eat!!! Im sure whatever you both do though will be amazing!

If you have 10 days to cruise, consider Panama Canal. Our favorite cruise. We embarked & debarked in Fort Lauderdale so makes very easy
