I have one. I was excited at first because it looks beautiful... When all clean. I much rather the tub with shower curtains that I can throw in the washing machine. I looked up how to clean. Because I haven’t been able to get the soap scum marks off.
I couldn't agree more Maria, I'd gladly replace my beautiful glass hexagonal shower for one with shower curtains. I'm disabled to cleaning the shower is a nightmare
So I just finished cleaning my shower/tub/toilet with the half half vinegar and dish soap mix.... I'm SHOCKED by how squeaky clean and shiny everything is. I always thought cleaning with vinegar was tree hugging hippy crap but I don't think I'll ever buy nasty, wasteful cans of bathroom cleaner foam again 🙌🏻 Thank you so much! 💜
Melissa, thanks for the info. I came across your channel when searching for the best way to clean a shower. I am a 65 y/o male, married for 40 years, and when I saw this video I confessed to my wife that I was in love! 😂. I have been an OCD clean freak all my life. Our kids washed their hands at the foot controlled sink and came into the kitchen with their hands in the "surgeon's" position (I am a doctor). I wash my hands to prepare for washing my hands. We never had a 5 second rule; if it fell on the floor it was thrown away or washed. We wash or clean all packaging entering the kitchen and we wash every single egg! When COVID started, the world started doing what I was doing all along! When I was in private practice, I had a sign in the patient bathroom; wash your hands or they will be amputated! All Best.
Sounds like some kind of a disorder to be so obsessed with hand washing. You gotta give you immune system a change to develop itself. Our grandparents played in the dirt without much hygene and yet lived 90+ years.
We've been cleaning our tub/shower with the Dawn dishwashing soap and vinegar mix for about a decade. It works and has saved us money. I use a scrubber filled with the mixture, and have assigned, each member of my family, a section to clean before they finish their libations. This has kept our tub/shower clean, and we all share in the responsibility.
That mixture works because the dish soap contains solvents which break down grease and soap scum and the vinegar breaks down the hard water stains. I did a video on this topic using my own cleaning mixture based on these two principles that costs me about 25 cent for a litre of it and it's AMAZING!
If I was your son...only thing I'd be doing is being at home doing what you tell me to do with no back talk or arguing. I'd do all of the cleaning so you don't have to worry with it! I'd help out in all other areas. My only happiness would be to obey you and make you happy! BUT.....I'd welcome you making me Scrub! Js
I squeegee my shower glass every time I shower and once per week I clean it with a vinegar spray. It always looks impeccable and it is really easy. If you always keep it clean you'll never have to deal with those tough hard water stains. 💋
I shower twice a day...morning and evening. In the evening, after I shower I will always dry my glass and tiles with a cloth to prevent mold...I do that really quickly and don't dry it thoroughly. Then, once a week I get a sponge and clean it. My shower always looks fresh and good to go.
I LOVE taking hot baths to relax. And we’ve been using a squeegee on the shower tiles for awhile now. It’s been a game changer! It’s so much easier to keep clean!
I've been trying to clean my glass shower with store bought shower spray and a magic eraser and always leaves residue and soap scum and I'm now so excited to Declan my shower after watching this video!!! Love love LOVE your channel!
Your tip about equal parts white vinegar and dishwashing liquid is a lifechanger!!!! I have used so many types of cream cleansers, jif, etc, and bleach, and your tip gave me THE BEST most effective clean in my shower ever! I love it and will never use anything else again. Thank you!
I would also recommend larger tiles (especially floor tiles) to minimize the amount of grout that may need scrubbing. My mom redid my bathroom and chose the smallest tiles she could possibly have found... ugh.
Well, what is the alternative for glass doors? A shower curtain is very uncomfortable because it moves towards you during showering because of warm/cold air density difference. Nothing at all will splatter water all around, requiring extensive mopping. And risk of falling on slippery wet floor.
We squeegee after every shower, (thank you, Melissa!) and I spray, sit, rinse, and towel dry once a week. Every 3 months I'll mold treat, just in case, but I haven't had any mildew yet. And, because our shower has a dome roof, we always leave our shower door open to make sure it air dries completely. Your videos have really upped my cleaning game, we rent, and we have quarterly inspections, but because of all the maintenance and cleaning skills, the healthy habits and routines I've learned from you, that are just normal to us now, there's never a big clean up to do anymore, just the regular, everyday, maintenance chores 😊❤
@@SingingCrowie it's not a problem, it gives the property manager and I a chance to catch up and talk about anything that needs repairs, further maintenance, things like that, I feel like it makes it more personal, and because we're good, friendly tenants, we usually get along well with our managers, a couple have become good friends! Our last landlords were so lovely, and they liked us so much they'd send us a $50NZ supermarket voucher every Christmas! So no, I love getting our house deep cleaned every 3 months, and I would anyway, inspection or not, it feels awesome!
This video is the most honest and concise informative ever! I have been struggling with my shower for the past four years. There are three of us roommates in the same Apt. And now that I have seen your videos and know that I don't need fancy, expensive cleaners I'm going to start cleaning right away. Also, I'm going to share your channel with the ladies, it'll take everyone's effort to keep the apartment clean and healthy. Thank you so much! ❤
I clean homes and I bought squeegies to my clients and showed them how to use it to get the water out. I also recommended the vinegar and Dawn mix to spray on after they shower. It keeps the showers clean between my cleanings.
I hired a housekeeper a year ago to come every 2 weeks. After I hired her, I bought a squeegee and I use it on the glass after every shower. Then I take a dry washcloth and wipe down the glass to make sure it's 100% dry. I started doing this cuz I figured it would make the housekeepers job easier. :)
Thanks so much for this excellent, informative video! I'm a 70-year-old single guy who likes to keep his newly built 2nd floor bathroom clean. I am also a former professional window cleaner, so i like the clean and shiny look! The cleaning solution is the best for that application with soap scum, it really cuts through that crud! I'm buying another squeegee and keeping it handy for the walk-in shower. BTW, we had a simple cleaning solution for windows: a small handful of TSP and a splash of clear ammonia in a bucket of hot water. And I still use a chamiois cloth to dry the edges.
Expert level! I retired to live in Italy. My home had scum in the shower glass when I moved in, a beautiful home, but I had bathroom scum in a home that sat empty for two years. My maintenance is now minimal. I keep a spray bottle of full strength bianco vinegar in the shower and several times a week spray the glass doors as I exit the shower. Yes, I clean the bathroom while naked! The vinegar keeps the mildew and mold under control. It’s about regular maintenance. I believe that is what your post is suggesting. A few minutes can save you from a major cleaning. I love your energy, your suggestions, so practical. Thanks to you and Chad.
When I lived with my grand mom in Germany she always wiped down the shower with a dry towel after showering. I started doing that over 30 yrs ago. Today I use a squeegee rather than using a towel. It really does help keep the soap scum buildup off. I then dont have to work so hard to clean the shower.
Hello Melissa - I tried this method on our shower glass slider door today! I waited until glass shower door was dry after spraying an scrubbing to see results and YES it is much clearer. My partner was amazed :). I appreciate the DIY methods as i can't deal with chemicals!
I don't have a glass shower door, but my husband and I use a sponge mop to dry the wall and floor every after use to avoid soap scum and hard water stains.
I use Oreck E-cloths. Magical and amazing way to clean my shower and glass doors. I wasted so many years, scrubbing, etc. but Oreck's E-cloths made my life easier. Amazing.
Love this video. Over the time watching this channel I have picked up these tips and boy have they came in handy! I currently house clean for one client who's two showers are a challenge every week! They do not maintain at all so it's like a deep clean every week. Plus they only leave me a shower matience spay to clean with😂. I however come prepared and bring my own vinager and washing up liquid mixute (Scottish here! 🤣) and boy it helps. I would never get it clean otherwise. So keep up the tips. It helps home owners and us house cleaners do a great job!
I just tried this and the difference is huge!! I Will have to repeat the steps one more time because My shower is critical 😖 but this really works!! I'm gonna try it at the kitchen too! Thanks You for the video
Have been using a squeegee for years for glass, walls, and floor. Thank for the tips on using vinegar, dish soap, and baking soda as opposed to typical chemical-based, will definitely give this a try.
Hi Melissa! You have inspired me to clean everything! Your videos are very informative and fun. All this started a week ago when I discovered your channel. You've turned me from a not wanting to clean into finding ways to apply all your tips. Thank you from me and from my wife! Lol
I have been looking at the soap crud in my shower for far too long and finally I steeled myself for getting in with the scrubbing brush. Good grief am I glad I watched this video first! Vinegar and Dish soap and a spray bottle and it all came off with a cloth, no scrubbing at all. I can almost say I enjoyed this most hated of cleaning jobs, but even better - my shower cubicle is SPARKLING! Thanks CMS.
I have always squeegee'd my shower and followed with a micro fiber dry down before stepping out. I use vinegar mixture and sometimes a mr clean dry eraser.. for trouble spots per installer because of the protection coating on the glass. Tile I do what you suggested and have for years. All great tips to follow.
Might not want use eraser on glass, and certain tiles, because it's like a kind of sand paper or something to that effect, its abrasive. Should probably stick with no scratch scrubbie sponge. (Didnt mean yo stick my nose in others business, I had just watched a video on the subject, sorry)
I clean my shower every week while I’m in having my shower. Clean shower first then me of course. Shower power cleaner. Non scratch sponge with handle. All tiles, grout , glass then rinse. Takes me 5 minutes. Do floor after my shower. I don’t let any build up so easy to clean. Love your show. Cheers.
I'm not a bath person, I find it incredibly boring but love having a long shower. We also use a few drops of eucalyptus oil in the shower when we are stuffed up.
Thank you soo much 🥰 I just finished cleaning our bathroom and shower today and it's really works vinegar and also Bi-soda . Now all glasses looks new again ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for these tips amazing!! 1st I have to shower as I'm disabled and dont have a bath😄 2nd I've never used a squeegee in the shower but looks a great idea so will from now on 👍 3rd I've never used oils in the shower but would love to 😊 thanks again xx
I’ve been in my new remodeled house since June. I have white tile with white grout and glass shower doors in chrome tracks and barn-door type rollers also chrome. I use my overhead exhaust fan for the steam, squeegee the doors, tile and floor when done then I dry everything down with a microfiber cloth after that. It takes about two minutes from start to finish and the shower still looks brand new! When I clean the bathroom I sometimes will windex the outside of the doors for some added sparkle but not always. Squeegees work!
I squeegee my shower after every use. It is a pain, but the shower stays pristine. I love the idea of the fan on a timer. I'm going to install that. Thank you for your great videos. I am a big fan.
Another tip to help prevent soap scum is to spray a wax coating on your glass and tiles so the water just beads off. We have used a car product called Turtle Wax that comes in the spray bottle. And the smell of the product is an added bonus.
I have observed several friends using a squeegee to dry their shower, so I began using this once I had a shower with glass walls. Thank you for the instruction!
THANK YOU. Just finished cleaning our giant glass door/marble shower. Cleaning ALL first using a dual sponge/squeegee [telescopic]. Rinsed and squeegee all in a cinch. I also wrapped her large microfiber on dual sponge to wipe water spots that squeegee didn't pick/corners and 10' hard to reach tile. THAN YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!
Yes, definitely use a squeege and I love the Original Water Blade. Have used it for years in the shower and bought one for my car a couple years ago. Perfect to get the water off after a car wash too. Love your videos!
Wiping side-to-side starting at the top works just as well and is easier on the knees. We have an acrylic shower with vinyl floor and glass doors. Best arrangement ever. We use a silicone squeegee after each shower and finish the floor with a microfiber mop. Completely dries the shower. No mold or scum.
The whole squeegee in the shower thing is new to me; like in the last year or so. I’ve been avoiding getting one because I worry it’s just one more object in the shower - plus, I wonder if I’ll really use it or just jump out afterwards. I’ll think about it and see. I love all the tips overall and will incorporate them when next I clean. Thank you so much, Melissa & Chad.
I was very anti-squeegee after the shower myself. Got one and have it in the shower and thinking I would let myself off the hook. Just decide you’re going to do it every time and then you don’t have to think about it. It’s a decision made. And I love my clean shower!
I've had a large shower for a while and have been wondering how to clean it without getting my feet wet. Now I've watched this video it's confirmed...you get your feet wet.
I hate it when I am reaching upwards and the water runs all the way down my arms and when I put my arms down it all runs into my rubber gloves......ugh!
Melissa, you are so very inspiring to me. I started my channel a few days ago and I have SO MUCH respect for UA-camrs!! This is NOT easy.. like at all! I also love that you own your own cleaning business and was born in Canada! Same here!! 😃♥️ After YEARS of being on UA-cam can you give me, a newbie any advice that will help keep me at it?? I’m already feeling like .. WHAT did I get myself into??? I committed to a year of doing videos. It’s fun, but also stressful as a single mom as well as a business owner! What ever you can suggest would be greatly appreciated pioneer! ♥️
Vinegar works on hard water stains as well. I'm on a well and it's a big issue. Hard to get the vinegar to stick, so maybe it will be better with dish soap. If you don't want to do that, there's a new product called 9 Elements (comes in bathroom cleaner as well as laundry soap) that is vinegar based. A bit expensive for only 9 ingredients, so try the vinegar and dish soap first. If worse comes to worse, an SOS (or cheapest equivalent) works really well. Works fine on glass. Wouldn't use on plastic.
Thank you. This was so helpful. I’ve watched it several times… I love baths but don’t make the time too often so shower it is. Your content is always so great 😀
Spraying my shower down with vinegar (that was scented by tangerine peals) once a week (rinsing after 20 minutes) has the same effect but allows me to get up later and have a bathroom cleaning timer.
My mom has been squeejying the shower in her basement for the last 20 years and it looks almost brand new. She warned me to do the same when I moved into a new apartment with a glass shower door-I sadly slacked with this and will be trying out your vinegar advice this weekend! Thanks for the great video!
I’ve tried every product on the market that claims to rid glass of soap scum, to no avail! The next time I grocery shop or Amazon shop, I’m buying the most acidic vinegar I can find! Unfortunately, my mother was OCD about cleaning in an unhealthy way, so that’s how I was raised. I do not see the benefits of doing that to your children because children soak up everything they learn like a sponge, no pun intended. My home is clean but you cannot eat off every surface. I’ve been fighting chronic illness for 12 yrs and I really can’t clean like you do without going into a flare. I clean what I can, when I can and don’t beat myself up about the cleanliness of my home. I REALLY appreciated this tip about cleaning glass shower doors, as I have them in one of my bathrooms. I will most assuredly buy some vinegar. I will also rebottle it in one of those other cleaner bottles that continues to spray after you pump it a few times! A few less pumps of a cleaning product is a few less pumps I appreciate! Thank you Ladybug and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family!
I have squeegeed my shower and doors for years. I also scrub the shower after a shower on my day off. It is so much easier to clean when it is moist and warm.
I've used a squeegee for my entire adult life. We have very hard water, so despite squeegeeing the shower daily, we have hard water stains on the glass. I've used vinegar & dish soap to no avail. I'm grateful to learn about stronger vinegar. I'm going to buy some and try it. Thanks!
7/19/22: Dawn and vinegar mixed and a sponge, using liberally on the glass, rinse and WELLA!, no spots, dries clear and you're done! This mixture does an incredible job removing soap scum and leaving a clear finish. I swear by it.
I love using essential oils in the shower. Right before I get in depending on how I am feeling, I will throw in a few drops. My favorite is lemon grass or Breathe Easy; it makes the bathroom smell great and I feel better.
Love scalding hot shower for 10-15min with dimmed lights, maybe a lit candle and soft piano music. That’s the key for relaxation for me 😋 baths are nice but the water get cold so quickly 😆
I make a paste of baking soda and Dawn dish detergent in an empty screwtop container, then quickly spread it on my acrylic shower walls and glass doors with a non-abrasive but scrubbing sponge, leave it a little while (between 5 - 30 minutes), then spray everything with very warm water and the soap scum melts right off! It’s the quickest and easiest method I’ve ever used and it works beautifully! No squeegee between showers, just this method once a week gets those glass doors sparkling clean and the shower walls nice and smooth.
I live in South Africa so in summer (now) I prefer a Luke warm / cold shower. In winter, I like a lobster bath... really hot! We have a corner spa bath with a heating element so I can literally stay in it for as long as I like... its my little piece of heaven! I’ve only started exploring essential oils for about 6 months. Tried peppermint once but I need to do more research... liking the idea of eucalyptus when sick! Thanks for that! 👍🏻
Using peppermint and Eucalyptus in shower great but dont use in bath😳...cud feel like fire on ur u know what's! Use cool mist to defuse as well, heat changes the properties(if its for health)....certified in EO. always reference before using oils like u mentioned great job!
Thanks Angela, do u know of a great informative, condensed web page for essential oil usages? Never thought of putting it in my bath but certainly won’t now! 😂
@@sally-annesmit7743 I use my reference books from college however to educate yourself start with simple google search for "how to use essential oils safely " it's also different for children and pregnant. When ur interested in certain oil..let's say lavender ..google benefits of lavender and learn about it. Rule thumb is LESS IS MORE REMEMBER ITS CONCENTRATED. ALWAYS CHECK IS IT SAFE FOR ...BATH, CLEANERS, CHILDREN, or pregnant( I'd advise help from pro or not take any preg).. what ever your using it for.. the web is great for info. Just ask your question about what oil and look for the cautious..if it says "carrier oil" that means u need to mix it with and oil to apply or it will irritate ur skin, you can use any oil that's ok to eat. Like olive oil or coconut oil dont sug vegetable oil tho use quality oil it's going on you! Lol ..I use oils everday it's fun to learn about oils enjoy
As requested, my answers are #1. Prefer shower since bath water gets cold before I'm ready to get out. #2. I squeeze after every shower. #3. I don't use any aromatic oils. Thanks for the video.
This such a great video!!! Thank for all the info. I'm off to clean my shower. One question: Mr Clean Magic Eraser for glass. Says it doesn't scratch. Works great on soap scum on glass. What do you think? Tip: I mix a few drops of Finish Jet Dry for the dishwasher to about a cup of water and after cleaning shower doors, apply to the glass with a sponge. Let sit for a few minutes then squeegee off. Keeps soap sum and water from settling on glass so often I don't even need to squeegee or scrub doors at all. Any comments good or bad to that practice?
Lol… Melissa’s face when she cleans that shower..!🤣🤣. Reálly doesn’t like cleaning, makes no secret of it as well. Great to watch genuine people, keeping it real. My husband and son not impressed évery time I go…”Did you squeegee after you showered?” If I don’t ask… they’ll let it go. (Should send them to Brad…) Blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Yey! My mum is always telling me to dry the shower after I use it , but I never do. Now that I know what the moisture does , i will start drying the shower . Thank you.
Just got your hardcover Clean My Space book today. Love the layout, colors and easy to navigate information! It is now all at my fingertips 😃. I have been a loyal fan and implementor of your cleaning video recommendations and appreciate your work!
If I had to do all that after a shower, I would never take a shower again. Much rather clean weekly. Too tired at end of day to yet again clean a shower.
Ann Morrison it’s 45 seconds but of course it’s all up to you. I must say, I like the idea of dropping some essential oil in the shower before I step in!
I'd be a sweaty mess, lol. I get hot very easily, so no way im cleaning after a shower. Of course, I like to "power" clean, it's basically my exercise time. I turn up the music loud loud loud and I go hard for a full 30 min.... doesn't sound like much, but when toy really put your back into it, you can with up a sweat and your house is extra clean. I do whatever cleaning is needed, then for the power half hour, I go hard on walls, baseboards, e.t.c...
The tip about the cleaning vinegar and shower tracks worked amazingly well. I left it for 30 mins and sprinkled baking soda on right before I scrubbed for a little a little abrasion, but all that mildew came off with very little scrubbing!
I hope that you make a video for us nurses... Some habits how we could avoid bringing home the germs we got from our workplaces. We're so paranoid. Thank you.
Seriously? Put on some clean shoe covers right before you leave work. Thoroughly wash hands before leaving floor to go home. When you get home, shoes come off and stay in the garage. Wear them back to work, put on clean ones before shift, repeat. Scrubs come off and kept separate from family laundry, I have a cloth bag I shove them in, then when it’s time to wash scrubs I empty bag into washer, throw in bag, wash with Tide Hygienic Clean detergent. I’ve done this for 15 years. No reason to be extra paranoid now, you are surrounded by Lord knows what all day at work, and always have been.
I agree; I also know there are some sprays that can seal over tile; problem with squeegee is it doesn’t dry out all the grout lines. I really believe that when building a shower with tile walls and floors: use the largest tiles you can so that the grout lines are fewer. It’s worse in a humid climate.
Thanks Melissa, I've been squegeeing my glass doors, never thought about doing that with the tiles! Brilliant! Thanks! Do you have any tips on how to get rid of mold on the grout? Also, do you spray the essential oil in the shower?
I'm also a professional cleaner, and I notice a huge difference in my clients showers who do have a squeegee and who don't. Using a squeegee definitely helps keep the shower glass clean from water spots and soap scum. And hard water spots are very hard to get off. I have yet to find a product that works for that.
We were in an Air BnB last year and I found a squeegee in the cupboard. Since we do this at home, we squeegeed the shower as we went. I received an email from the owner thanking me as no one had ever left the shower so clean!
We have used a squeegee for years. My shower and glass as well as my faucets still look like new after over 17 years. It took some time to train the husband though. And you are right it only takes a minute or less to do this. I did learn from your video a better way to clean the shower.
I love a bath when I need to relax after a hard day but to clean my body is definitely a shower with essential oils. I love to start my day with some citrus essential oil. Just gives me a sunshine feeling to my day.
I put a container of damp rid in my bathroom up again the floor near the tub (half way between the tub and the door). It’s worked really well-I use the damp rid easy fill bags in a regular damp rid container. I also use a weekly tub spray that you rinse off, it really works!
@@kalauj If you can find the Wet&Forget Weekly Shower Spray (Soft Vanilla Essence Scent), that's the one I use! My ventilation fan is behind the door when it is open, so I find using low fume products and damp rid the way to go. Glad to help!
Thanks for your help! I’m not sure but it feels like vinegar and soap do a better job than the stuff we can buy at stores lol. On my second go of cleaning the shower using your video and looking forward to seeing how I’ve improved! I’m sure it gets better over time
This helps a lot! I no longer want a large glass shower.
Use dishwasher pods, hot water and her sponge. Works great
Neither do I 😅

This video is the most honest and concise informative ever! I have been struggling with my shower for the past four years. There are three of us roommates in the same Apt. And now that I have seen your videos and know that I don't need fancy, expensive cleaners I'm going to start cleaning right away. Also, I'm going to share your channel with the ladies, it'll take everyone's effort to keep the apartment clean and healthy. Thank you so much! ❤
Your the best!!.you one video helped me a lot.. the use of vinegar for removing cigarette smell .. Yes, now I also quit smoking ..

I clean homes and I bought squeegies to my clients and showed them how to use it to get the water out. I also recommended the vinegar and Dawn mix to spray on after they shower. It keeps the showers clean between my cleanings.
What kind of vinegar do you use what brand I mean
I hired a housekeeper a year ago to come every 2 weeks. After I hired her, I bought a squeegee and I use it on the glass after every shower. Then I take a dry washcloth and wipe down the glass to make sure it's 100% dry. I started doing this cuz I figured it would make the housekeepers job easier. :)
Do we really need so much dish soap, it would be so hard to rinse . Equal parts of vinegar and water with a teaspoon of dish soap should do the job
I was raised in a squeegee home and raised my kids in one as well. You've got to use a good squeegee though. Very helpful video!
Thanks for this. What a great video. I wash mine everyday after every use. Once you maintain it daily its so easy.

Good man!
I use Gel Gloss on my Marble and it works great. Also just put in a Water Softener and that helps with Spots and Hard Water Stains.
I have used a squeezge for several years now after every shower and it works like a charm! I have never had to clean the shower walls.
Another tip to help prevent soap scum is to spray a wax coating on your glass and tiles so the water just beads off. We have used a car product called Turtle Wax that comes in the spray bottle. And the smell of the product is an added bonus.
Thanks a great idea. Thanks
I have observed several friends using a squeegee to dry their shower, so I began using this once I had a shower with glass walls.
Thank you for the instruction!
Yeeesssss!!!! Thank you. This is the first ever tutorial that I’ve followed and worked when it came to cleaning. Super easy. Not much elbow grease
This video could not have been posted at a better time. I was literally just thinking about this today. You’ve read my mind!!
I have to admit that cleaning is not my favorite activity but your tips make everything easier 🙏🏼
Yes, definitely use a squeege and I love the Original Water Blade. Have used it for years in the shower and bought one for my car a couple years ago. Perfect to get the water off after a car wash too. Love your videos!
Thank you! This is incredibly helpful!
Recently I’ve become a convert to taking baths to relax and for recovery to sore muscles from intense workouts.
Where’d you get the microfiber mop & what brand? Water pools in the shower basin & I’ve been drying it with towels which is a royal pain
How do you stay warm while squeegeeing walls/glass after your shower? I’m freezing by time I get out!
@@catherinesenecal-rice3650 Staying warm is for sissies. I don't stay warm. Our bathroom is 68 degrees but after I get dressed, then I'm too hot.
@@catherinesenecal-rice3650 I think wife got it at Walmart. I don't know the brand and I'm too tired to stand up and shuffle to the bathroom.
How about getting some ankle galoshes just for shower cleaning so you don't track more dirt in there?
You could buy yourself some gumboots just for shower cleaning? :-)
I hate it when I am reaching upwards and the water runs all the way down my arms and when I put my arms down it all runs into my rubber gloves......ugh!
I scrub first the walls.
With a flat mop that I use only for walls .
@@jayjaytailor yessssss! I actually don't use rubber gloves anymore because of that. My eczema hates me for it, but blargh.

Hard water is the real problem for shower cleaning.
Big problem in my area
@@dnmurphy48 Flint, Michigan or third world country?

Vinegar works on hard water stains as well. I'm on a well and it's a big issue. Hard to get the vinegar to stick, so maybe it will be better with dish soap. If you don't want to do that, there's a new product called 9 Elements (comes in bathroom cleaner as well as laundry soap) that is vinegar based. A bit expensive for only 9 ingredients, so try the vinegar and dish soap first. If worse comes to worse, an SOS (or cheapest equivalent) works really well. Works fine on glass. Wouldn't use on plastic.
@@aprildegele1510 I’ve discovered vinegar and dawn work great together. Scrub with a Mr. Clean eraser and then with dryer sheets. It works!
Thank you. This was so helpful. I’ve watched it several times… I love baths but don’t make the time too often so shower it is. Your content is always so great 😀
CMS Poll: Do you squeegee after your shower?
Clean My Space i squeegee and spray daily shower cleaner.
I HIGHLY recommend using a daily shower cleaner. You just spray it after the last person showers
Spraying my shower down with vinegar (that was scented by tangerine peals) once a week (rinsing after 20 minutes) has the same effect but allows me to get up later and have a bathroom cleaning timer.
Always
My mom has been squeejying the shower in her basement for the last 20 years and it looks almost brand new. She warned me to do the same when I moved into a new apartment with a glass shower door-I sadly slacked with this and will be trying out your vinegar advice this weekend! Thanks for the great video!
Yes! we squeegee each time then towel dry. We never ever have to clean the shower. Thank you 😊
I was literally coming to UA-cam to look how to clean my shower glass and... ta da! There was your video on my alert list! Thanks a lot! 💗👍
Hi, I use Majic Eraser right after I shower. Your glass doors will always be clean.
I squeegee! I have my family trained. Have been doing that for years. Makes a huge difference.
Great tips! Sometimes I'm extremely tired after my shower but I know drying it is so rewarding and time saving in the long run
No it’s not, you can clean your shower every 3 4 weeks and you’re good.
@@nikchris69 I disagree, maintenance cleaning and upkeep is better then a large clean every 3 to 4 weeks
Voila.
I love using essential oils in the shower. Right before I get in depending on how I am feeling, I will throw in a few drops. My favorite is lemon grass or Breathe Easy; it makes the bathroom smell great and I feel better.
Been using a squidgee for ages, they’re so cute for keeping the glass clean. Great tips about the shower head though - will try this!
Love scalding hot shower for 10-15min with dimmed lights, maybe a lit candle and soft piano music. That’s the key for relaxation for me 😋 baths are nice but the water get cold so quickly 😆
Thank you. We've been doing the first thing lately, but the rest we can definitely try to adopt!
Thanks for the awesome tips! Hopefully, my shower will be clean and sparkly every day!
I’m a shower girl, watching this as we just had our bathroom done and we took out the bath! We just have a shower now 🎉🎉

Never thought of putting it in my bath but certainly won’t now! 😂

I will try the Jet Dry, hope it works
Magic Eraser does not work well if it’s caked on.
Lol… Melissa’s face when she cleans that shower..!🤣🤣. Reálly doesn’t like cleaning, makes no secret of it as well. Great to watch genuine people, keeping it real. If I had to do all that after a shower, I would never take a shower again. Much rather clean weekly. Too tired at end of day to yet again clean a shower.
Ann Morrison You only need to squeegee after a shower. The rest is for your monthly or weekly clean.
Ann Morrison it’s 45 seconds but of course it’s all up to you. I must say, I like the idea of dropping some essential oil in the shower before I step in!
I have squeeze my shower after each use and my husband does the same. It keeps the shower new.
Same, clean my shower well once a week and voila!
@@abunchahooey Yup, this message was a year ago when Covid kills a number of nurses and doctors in my country. Thank you

I use chamois leather after I squeeze the shower glass and tiles after having a shower. It dries quickly.
I squeeze my shower every time and it still looks brand new. It helps keep the shower nice.
Ugh, I went from an apt with shower doors to an apt with no doors... what a difference! One less thing to clean!
I do hate the shower curtain creep though! It always clings to me!

We were in an Air BnB last year and I found a squeegee in the cupboard. Since we do this at home, we squeegeed the shower as we went. I received an email from the owner thanking me as no one had ever left the shower so clean!
That beautiful shower though 😍 great tips! Definitely going to diy mine!
We have used a squeegee for years. My shower and glass as well as my faucets still look like new after over 17 years. It took some time to train the husband though. And you are right it only takes a minute or less to do this. I did learn from your video a better way to clean the shower.
