In terms of being a user/public facing engine, T3D is such a waste of effort. It's a shame 'cause it has some legitimately powerful features/functionality. They just make it so cumbersome and confusing to use. Functions that are straight-forward and take maybe a few clicks in most any other engine, requires a whole series of steps, in multiple different windows to do here. I just don't get why they insist on making it this way. The editor interface and workflow is the most unintuitive I've ever tried to work with, and it gets worse with each iteration. They seem determined to squeeze in as many different steps as possible for the most basic functions.
i agree a lot of potential. and pretty easy to get up and running. i just wish it had been taken further. however it is pretty fun to play around with and has some features much newer engines dont. there are lessons to be learned from it.
for the example games you were opening the background image in a new tab.... you should click on the title to get to the game page!!!
Do you know how to install it because I tried using Cmake for it
but it has atleast 1 error everytime I try to click the generate button
I just went to the site and grabbed the posted binary.
then installed it. i didnt grab the github buildable.
