Yall...ab the ymir part. She stole the power of the titan from on of rainer s friends...by eating him...rice is right. That guy she ate. You didnt pay attention to her backstory where she was transformed into a titan when she fell from that place and she said she wandered for 60 years or so in titan form. She couldnt transform back. She was just a dumb titan that couldnt transform back. When she ate that guy she got his transformation powers and she now can shift between forms. She lied bc she knows Historia wouldn't accept to be saved by Reiner and Berth but Ymir also knows Historia is kind enough to cooperate with them if it is to save someone else, so Ymir used that to be able to save her.
Bertholdt and Ymir confirmed she ate their friend five years ago (year when the wall got destroyed). Reiner and Bertholdt are 17 now, when Marcel got eaten they were 12, so they were kids.
This season shows how elite soldiers have fear before they get eaten: Mike, Geigar, Nanaba... then you see Erwin gets bitten by one and he brakes that trope. That is what makes it more powerfull imo.

Basically Ymir was a normal human as we saw in her backstory, those guys that captured her and her people give them a punishment and in there you can see they injected them something that turned them into titans (as Grisha did with Eren), Ymir was a mid normal dumb titan then, she was just walking, sleeping and wanted to eat people, when she ate Reiner and Berth's friend who was a human with the power of transform at will (as Reiner, Annie, Berth and Eren) she say she stole that power and that's when she became human again and started to be able to transform at will as we see now. That means that if some dumb mid titan like Connie's dad eats someone with the power of turning into titans and humans whenever they want as Eren, they can steal that power of transforming at will.

Erwin, Eren, Jean, Connie, Hannes, Annie, Reiner, Bertoltd, etc etc they all are European and american characters.. So the Dub actually Suits all of them.. No hate to sub I liked sub too, it's just, in sub everyone speaks Japanese even Onyankopan he is a Black guy.. in dub they really hired a suitable voice for Onyankopan.. Dub really gives the Best experience of this show for me atleast..
