Hey yall, Ron here: Listen. I know I fucked up. I am sorry. I wish I could go back and do that one second again and not look for an Armin pic. It wasn't on purpose obviously. And for a second I thought about re-recording our reaction to it, and deleting that part, but then I was like, F that, we don't fake reactions. And I want to always keep it real with you guys! I want yall to experience it exactly how we did. Was it an ideal experience bc of that? No. But it was genuine and from a well intentioned place, as I was crying looking for an Armin pic to make my PFP...It didn't take away from the emotions that came from watching these episodes...
Again I am sorry. I wont be googling anything from now on. Even for thumbnails. Hope you guys can appreciate this and dont crucify me! Im learning yall! And sometimes it takes a fall or two before you learn to ride the bike!

The actual worst part about his death was he was SO, SO close to all the answers and he died right before learning about it.
an even more tragic fact was that he liked someone but never told her and she went with another dude and he gave her up because she was happy with the other dude anyway and continued his duties as a soldier.

In other words, he wanted to go to the basement not as the commander, but as a man chasing his dream😭

Different contexts. They don't know yet anything about the beast titans background, so his intentions and motivations remain a mistery, but he did sounded sincerely concerned about Eren.
On the other hand, Bertholdt was part of the survey corps, and betrayed them all, so I get why there's no empathy left going his direction.

Same! In the heat of the moment you instantly pick Armin since he's what makes the trio complete and he's a very good strategist. But then you reach season 4 and begin to believe that Erwin should have been picked. Not that Armin was terrible in season 4, but just imagine what Erwin could have done as a titan. Yes Armin has made some amazing decisions, but what humanity needs is an already experienced leader and calm thinker that can quickly execute a plan 10 steps ahead. Again, I have nothing against Armin, he's one of my favorite characters, but honestly Erwin probably would have been a better option imo.

Perhaps the blood loss made him enter in that dissociation state. The most likely option is that the scene was made that way to convey a message. Hardly anything is done without a reason in this show.

One more sad thing.. When bert woke up and was about to get eaten he looked at them and screamed "Guys, help me" then he was shocked and looked the other way.. Bert previously said that they actually considered them comrades that's why his first reaction to being eaten was to call for them then he realizes the situation and calls for his actual friends Annie and Rainer.. 💔

No, it looks a lot more like he's looking for anything or anyone to help him out of a desperate situation, including screaming for help from the very people he was just trying to murder, as well as screaming for one comrade he knew was out of commission. He was desperate. Plain and simple. Its not all that deep where he's reflecting on who is or isn't his comrades n shit. You guys need to stop trying to make shit sound deeper than it actually is.

These three episodes were an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. No breaks. So many people lost. R.I.P. Erwin, Moblit, Marlowe, and Bertolt. Even though they were on different sides, both parties gave it their all until the end. Both sides devoted their hearts until the end. In this cruel world.

Never apologize for having the feels when it comes to anime. I sobbed the first time I watched these episodes. And Erwin's speech both in dubbed and subbed gives me chills every time. Both voice actors did such an amazing job with it

Erwin actually raised his hand, because he was dreaming/remembering that time when he asked his dad a question, but they didn't mention in it what he actually asked, only in this episode... To show how much important was knowing the truth for Erwin, even in his last breath..

I actually felt so sorry for Bertholdt. Though it caused a lot of pain, i never really saw him as a villain. I think he's just a great example of the cruelty SNK is trying to portrait, as he's just another victim of the circumstances... But in any case! I just actually noticed that his death scene is a mirror of Marco's death.
If you go back to Season 1's opening 2, you may notice Hange's glasses cracking on the left side in a split second scene. This show has a huge amount of Easter eggs.
no spoilers, but this trilogy of episodes and a trilogy of episodes in Season 4 are some of the best storytelling in all anime

S4 is wild but these 3 episodes are still my favorites in the entire show.
I say S4 still has an excellent trio between Two Brothers and 2000 years ago. They are different, but I find both on par with one another.
I mean, just Memories From The Future and From You, 2000 Years In The Past are on the level this eps were no cap.

@JR Lombardi Armin surviving being burned to a crisp and falling from that high distance is just not realistic. Also, it's kind of unbelievable how neither Armin or Erwin died from their injuries while everybody was arguing over who to save for like 10 mins.
I can ignore these minor issues because the storytelling is so amazing, but these are flaws nonetheless. Every show has them
@@comeatmebro8120 something being not realistic or accurate with real life isn't a flaw from writing, we're in a fantastic world with titans and humans that aren't as the humans from real life, just for example, if you check what Sasha did to save Samuel you see that's not possible at all for a normal human and Sasha isn't a character with any power, this shows us since the very beginning that their humans aren't ours and that's fine bc this story is a fantasy that isn't trying to be like our world in that kind of things, the only thing that could make that kind of stuff something badly written is to lose the consistency of the rules you made for your own world but aot doesn't bc since the beginning we have seen regular humans having a way better resistence (as well as other things but that's another point) to pain and wounds than us, that hasn't been introduced in later season or contradicted other moments related to that stuff so it is well done, the only mistake is to see since the beginning something that doesn't fit real humans like us but later still wait for the characters to have our same level in those things.
This episode was hands down the most epic shit yet hardest episode to take in. Absolute rollercoaster of emotions throughout.
The episode hero hits a lot harder with the right translation. Instead of Armin saying he’s not courageous, he says “ i’m just not a hero”. this is definitely my favorite show so I’ve watched it a few times and people reacting and it’s crazy how different some of these translations can be compared to what I consider the actual translation is
At the start of ep.16 when Conny gone crazy he made a joke that is: Jaeger sounds like home/house in japanese, what Conny is saying is « Do you think if one of them is Eren’s house », and the Eren’s house part sounds like Eren Jaeger😭😭

This chapter was rough for me the first time around. Reiner, Zeke (the Beast), Berthold and Erwin are 4 of my 5 favorite characters of this entire series, the ones I both empathize and sympathize with the most, and they were all hanging on by a thread at one point or another.
The fact you guys made this as a movie was pure perfection. Also, no need to apologize about the spoiler, if anything I feel more sad about you guys getting spoiled. This was an awesome MOVIE you made for us, the roller coaster of emotions was huge during these episodes. Can't wait for the season 4 reactions, those will BLOW your minds for real.

i'm late i know... but it's always so painful to me to see marlow die thinking hitch is probably sleeping soundly somewhere... meanwhile, we see hitch actually awake and worried, looking out the window... it's such a beautifully subtle way of telling the viewers that they both cared for each other deeply... maybe in love... 😭

I've been watching AoT since season 1 aired back when you were still in diapers. I've never spoiled myself. It's super easy, you just don't search for AoT stuff and don't follow any social media that is anime themed.
These episodes have some scenes that are amongst my favourite ones. Erwin's speech is wholesome with that discourse twist. Also, Marlow's death really hit me. Usually, people who sacrifice themselves have one second of existential crisis and fear and then accept their destiny. Marlow, who is a committed guy, is questioning what he is doing and is afraid all the time. And that choice between Erwin and Armin... Amazing writing in my opinion.
One of my other favourite scenes that doesn't belong to these episodes is Carla telling Keith Shadis that it doesn't matter if you are not special, if you are no better than anyone else. You are already special, just for being born.
It was at these episodes that I realized how depressing this show is and that it really depicts the cruel reality of death and violence. Definitely one of the most unforgettable moments in anime history!
Also, back in season one, a lot of people have been giving some easter eggs on this episode. When you guys asked who is our favorite character here and why, they put erwin and horses haha!
R.I.P. Moblit Berner a true unsung hero from the moment he first appeared to his last breath always saving and caring for Hange!

I'm 46 years old. I've been avoiding anime all my life because I thought "tHeY wUz jUsT sTuPiD cArTo0nS." Little did I know, that I was the one who was stupid.
I had absolutely NO idea the emotional and adrenaline pumping impact these shows gave. And are just as good, if not better than live action shows. People are starting to realize this with the Star Wars franchise. "The Clone Wars" and "Rebels" shows are animated, but they're canon to the live action movies. And more people are finding out how epic and important they are. And it's a huge discussion now about them now that thr live action "Ahsoka" series is out. Keep in mind, the some of the most popular characters in live action media came from "Cartoon" characters: 'Harley Quinn' and 'Ahsoka Tano' for example, originated from animation.
People are realizing that anine isn't just the Bugs Bunny, Smurfs, Transformers, and Thundercats cartoons we grew up with. Japanese anime especially will have you jumping out of your seat. I try to tell the friends that are my age about anime.
But we Gen Xers are stubborn. They are definitely missing out.
I started watching MHA in 2020 (Marvel & DC fan) and that was my "gateway drug" into anime. Now I'm HOOKED! I had to catch up on what i missed. But now I'm a fully invested "weeb, Otaku, or nerd." Call it what tou you want. And I regret NOTHING, other than not starting sooner!
But my top 10 anime shows are right up there with the most popular live action:
Hunter x Hunter.
Demon Slayer.
Attack on Titan.
My Hero Academia.
That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime.
Mushoku Tensei.
Hellsing Ultimate.

I also got spoiled about Armin, didn’t search his name up was just suggested to me on UA-cam. And yet I still cried in these episodes 😂

Btw! Reiner actually left a tear when they left Bertolt behind but they didn’t show it in the Anime

Been watching since S2 released and I got so tired of being spoiled on huge details every season that after s4p2 I got the Mangas for the final (i was already spoiled on the ending so whatever). I was basically forced into it cause people are shitty
Ps. I don't even read comments and really try to avoid anything AoT related but across almost 10 years, 1 decade they managed to creep in.
The reason why Corps is pronounced like core is because it is a borrowed word from French (corps) where the last letters would be silent, so in French it's pronounced /kɔʁ/ and in modern English it's /kɔr/.
Fun Fact: "Attack on Titan" episode 54: 'Hero,' held the title of #1 top rated TV show EPISODE on IMDB for about a year back in 2020.
It beat out shows like
Breaking Bad: Ozymandias (which took the #1 spot away), The Sopranos.
Game of Thrones.
The Walking Dead.
And all the other pop culture juggernauts out there.
Keep in mind, this was #1 *EPISODE, at the time, not the #1 entire TV series.

Midnight Sun is my favorite episode of any show I have ever watched. The music less episode which let their Japanese voice actors shine. They should be winning an Oscar for this. All these three episodes had a imdb rating of 10/10 and was at the top of imdb episode list . You wouldn't have noticed it but in the midnight sun there is no background music playing in the whole episode on the tense situation until armin ate bertolth and the situation become calm.
It doesn't matter if you have spinal fluid serum, if you dont have a shifter titan to eat near by, you just become a random titan, you save your life but still random titan. Otherwise I love your videos, huge fan from Spain, dont worry about Armins pics, still many things to discover and it's very difficult not to get spoil about this serie on Internet cos it's so famous. Literally rated these episodes as the best as any anime/manga can get, only to find out how little I know compared to what I'm seeing and about to see in S4. Consider the term "mind-blown" as an understatement, trust me. And being able to see all of these without waiting for years? You have no idea how much I envy you two. Thankfully this show is so good, that I still feel the same emotion rewatching it. And of course, I enjoy watching you guys react as well. 😉
Just to clarify Erwin was just dreaming about like he was in class with his dad as a child, so he raised his hand. And yes. you right! Levi finally decided to choose Armin because as Kenny said "we all have to be drunk on something to keep living" and Erwin, despite being the best commander, always watched over his own dreams and when he got them he didn't know exactly what he was going to do. However, Armin had dreams far beyond seeing the basement and knowing the truth he also wanted to see faraway lands and keep moving

Episode 16 (Perfect Game) and episode 17 (Hero) are still, to this day, respectively number 3 and 2 best TV episodes on IMDB (by IMDB user rating, all categories mixed), number 1 being Breaking Bad's Ozymandias. That's how good these are. Season 4 Episodes 20 and 21 are climbing, they are currently 13th and 12th respectively.

hello guys hope you're both good. i've been following you for your demon slayer reactions and aot reactions and really enjoyed the ride, especially for demon slayer ones. thank you a lot for sharing them with us. For aot though if i may give a few honest comments... in the beginning i saw your enthusiasm and was excited to see you on this journey. aot is not my favourite anime however it is a really interesting drama so i was hyped to see your reactions to it's story, but as the show went on i kinda began to think that aot may not necessarily be that compatible with you guys taste if you will, especially ron, which is absolutely fine btw.
but tbh i think the huge expectations from the talk around this show may have played a role in giving u a certain approach to it which may not have helped. perhaps it is your comment about season 3 part 1( which is also understandable) that may have solidified my doubts but as i watch your aot videos i realise the issue... aot was never a show about the spectacle of action like other anime you may have seen, or what you may have expected. it is rather a political mystery thriller which happens to have some action in it, think game of thrones. the plot points and mysteries and dialogues are *the entire point* of the show. i don't know how to put it but i want to respectfully plead with you to try to review the way you approach your experience of aot for you to hopefully see the point of it, for you to understand it more and also enjoy it because to be honest i've been really bummed with your reactions to this show for a while now (and it's not really about big reactions and over the top stuff), although this video was fun to watch except for the part with the spoiler. it is easy getting hyped for an action fest or moments with emotionally charged plot points, but aot at it's core isn't about that and i wish you could have that experience withthe plot
with that said i know you guys are human and different people have different approaches to things so i hope you're not too bothered by my honest remarks here as I mean no negativity at all. in fact i'm happy i found your channel and i look forward to seeing your growth.
