The word robbery is used way too much these days with all the casuals. It was a close fight, and Islam had control and dominant positions over the majority of the fight. People just surprised Volkanovski did so good and all the theatrics with the homecrowd.

The problem is, Volk gets free after a minute of being down and people are cheering like he did something amazing - just because it's rare to get away from a Dagestani. But in reality, he's reacting. Don't get me wrong, volk is a fkn warrior, and that last min of r5, and the cardio he put on was insane - i still think he's the #1 p4p. But no, he lost that.

When Volk asked Eugene if he had won the first 2 Eugene said "we'll win the next 3" to me they like I did reconized he lost the first 2, 3 was close but I thought Islam may have got that as well because I can't see how Volk won 3 straight rounds
Volk got out boxed and they were on the feet mostly, Volks best ground game came round 5 very late plus, Islam most likely had way more control time and had Volk in submission danger way more than Volk had him in tko danger on the ground.
And that was said after round 3 🤣😵💫

@@joshuahaley4367 Yeeeaaah, everyone who watched that fight saw Makhachev get takedowns and hold Volk with little to NO damage. All significant strikes came from Volk. By the end of the fight, Makhachev was yet again cowering and getting his face smashed. Post fight interviews, Volk looked like he was ready for another fight and Makhachev looked like a broken man and his face looked like burger.
