I use some of the legacy hardware encrypted thumb drives for work. The reason being is that I travel internationally often, and some customs agents get too curious about your work (cough...cough...China). My primary 128gb hardware encrypted thumb drive is a USB 2.0 - very slow, but reliable. We all live in a World where things are lost, or stolen, so take your privacy seriously.

Just buy a cheap thumb drive, ssd card or SD card with enough storage them create an encrypted volume. Issue solved.
