- The following is my breakdown for the AEW Rankings in January 2024.
The official AEW rankings as of January 31, 2024 have been revealed including the top contenders for AEW’s titles.
The AEW men’s champions are listed as World Champion Samoa Joe, TNT Champion Christian Cage, International Champion Orange Cassidy, and Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston.

With the way AEW is looking right now Alyx. U might have to add another AEW column on your graphics of champions when it comes to their champions haha.

It really would. Hell, it would make sense for each Men's title a part of the overall rankings. For example, have the TNT title (the secondary title) holder be the #6 contender for the World title, and the International Title be the #11 rank. Then just do the same for the Women's.

I was afraid TK was using RoH to pad these stats, but it's much worse than that.
a) Matches a minority of fans even know exist should never count unless recapped to the main audience.
b) If they're not being pushed on TV they shouldn't be ranked.

We should make our own version of the rankings
Here is an idea I would like for people to judge on: only have rankings for the men’s world title, the women’s world title, the tag titles, the trios titles, The TBS title, and the TNT title. As for the continental crown and the international championship Just keep them as titles that are free to challenge either way (especially since we were told unless I’m mistaken that the continental crown can be defended in other companies, such as ring of honor and NJPW)
Sidenote: all championships that have rankings behind them would be separated

@@jayjaybulldog9180 yeah and since the continental championship is defended through the three main companies (AEW, ROH, and NJPW) I don’t see the point of having it cooperate in the rankings. As for the international championship, that is completely fine to be used solely as a open challenge type title belt
I agree with you Alxy I want aew to continue to succeed because right now things are not looking good for them ever since the fire CM Punk things has never been the same I know aew will bounce back once they get Mercedes and will ospreay they just need to book better story lines and start focusing on things that's more important bringing about the rankings was a good start I just want them to do more better that's all I love aew and I'm going to continue to support them
It makes zero sense to put the dark order in dark non televised matches like cmon Tony😂😂. Plus it sucks that you don’t see mark briscoe and Jay lethal more often and they came from ROH to which they were booked more star power especially in TNA.
The Ranking System highlights AEWs need for a creative team to help manage this system Ideally a few writers per division, less protective booking and a brand split

Only Matches on Dynamite, Collision and PPV Count maybe On Rampage and Battle of the Belts
Matches on ROH, House Shows and Dark matches don't count towards Rankings.
Aylx I agree without a story these rankings in aew mean nothing.
This is an interesting concept but TK is not a very good booker. On the long term this will be a mess.
This is why Tony khan seriously needs professional help with booking both men and women and not just throwing random matches and acting like it’s not a big deal. Plus he needs to treat the titles to who ever is shown in the rankings like they are VERY important to which title is like a mid card and which is top title to represent AEW as a company brand like how they do with wwe’s undisputed and world heavyweight championship.
A draft is needed and a writing team.
Also make these titles differ from each other. If you are world champ you can take more vacation time and wrestle when you want or just do mic work. For the TNT title give the champ more tv time like a behind the scenes show. For the international title the champ can go to Japan or mexico to defend his title. Stuff like that
I want AEW to thrive, Tony needs to do better I agree with bringing back the rank that's fine but I'm not ok with the show being mediocre. Top 10 should be for AEW title, 11-21 should be for the TNT title, 22-32 should be for International title, the rest be for Eddie. I
I like AEW no matter what, but I wat them to thrive as well it has problems that they need to fix.

How about this. Lets have 4 leagues for fhe men. Each league with 10 guys. 3 top guys. 4 mid guys and 3 good jobbers. Each wrwstlers fight each other once. The winner of the league is the champ. So now we have 4 winners. So now they go to a playoff and the winner of that challanges the world champ. The other 3 can now choose what title to challange. A win by pin is 3 point. A win by submission is 4. A tie is 1. Same for the other titles. What do you think. If you like it send it to tony
these rankings can be explained by tony khan thinking that cagematch is important and that all of his fans religiously check cagematch stats and are gonna shit on the rankings because “uh akchyually cagematch said they wrestled at an underground show and won”
Even that doesn’t explain the Hardys & Briscoe, how the hell did the rankings get worse from where they last were?

First scrap the trio titles because they suck and then only have rankings for the world title, tag team titles, and womens. The rest can then be used freely in storylines
