Thanks a lot for this. I grew up there but am currently trapped overseas by this pandemic and haven't' been home in over 2.5 years now. Lovely to watch and nearly every corner and many of the shops trigger some memories for me. Nicely filmed and great pace, and choice of music.
Ya and very few trouble makers in Nanaimo are even from here many if not most have drifted here from the lowerMainland or Victoria or other places. Nanaimo is still beautiful though.
I live here and I'm glad the new hotel next to the port theatre is finally going up after years of delays, and the empty lot at 2:30 where there was a large fire 5 years ago will hopefully be new small businesses, and finally at 4:28 about the new bike way, Probably the cities attempt to be ahead of the curve in the biking community, but i hardly ever see anyone on bikes using it and I'm not the only one unhappy about it.
Well, it's been 2 years since you posted this and the empty lot is still empty and the new bike way is a hazard for most motorists. I'm amazed that this was filmed and there is no sign of our large homeless population and drug zombies but then I realized this was filmed not long after the pandemic so not many people out and about....even the homeless.
