Was waiting for you to review this one, though I just made an order before the video. Glad that I did not make a mistake. One missed opportunity in the video though, was to compare fabric vs mesh because no one has done that and personally I was very curious about the differences. Although I chose mesh, I'd still be interesting to see the comparison. Is the hardness the same etc.
I really was close to ordering this but somethings about it made me hold off. I want to get the fabric version but I was disappointed to hear how stiff the seat was and how the bucket style can be annoying when sitting with crossed legs.
This was the first slightly more critical review I've found, most others have mostly praised it, although all have commented on virtually the same issues (loose arm rests). This is still my top contender right now, coming from a old DX Racer, without doubling the price and going for a truly ergonomic specialty office chair.
Any chance y'all would attempt to open up the armrest and see if there are any screws you can tighten to stop that loose forward/backward armrest adjustment?
I was considering on waiting for your review on the chair of just ordering a refurbished Leap V2 beforehand. I got my leap V2 today. Glad I did because this thing feels great, but I'm very happy that Refine ended up being a good product.
After this video, I’m now torn between this chair and the new Ergonomic chair pro from Branch. Both look amazing and it looks like Branch made a lot of improvements from their original ergonomic chair. Are y’all gonna review that one once it comes out so you can help me decide? 😅
I was very interested in this to replace my 2020 Titan, but it seems like it's just shy of great for the money. What's the office ergo buy for $500 that has these features? (All the adjustments especially arm rests, headrest, better seat comfort, etc)
Fractal Design is a good company that does the right thing for customers, but I have to question how short the seat pan is on this chair. Other than that I kind of like it. Thumbs up.
Hey guys, could you review Musso H80 chair? It looks like solid budget pick and good competitor for SIHOO and other brands, but the problem is I cannot find real proper review on that chair so maybe u were planning to do that?
This Chair coming out is the reason i started watching youre channel. Cause i was looking for something ergonomic after considering buying it. But i ended up ordering a steelcase gesture last week 😂
This chair is totally off, and i actually refunded it. Armrest were slidy, lumbar support not working (resetting back to default position when i apply some force with my back) some smudges and the sit overall was uncomfortable due to shortness, hard edges that can't make me spread my legs enough and overall costruction being meh. I do actually prefer my noblechair hero that i got in 2020, actually thinking that i'm going to buy that chair again. Don't mistake me: it's a decent chair overall (aside for that defections), but totally outside the 500 bucks range. More like 250/300.
I was going to buy Fractal Refine until I saw the armrest. They should make a new model with locked armrest. I ended up buying Secretlabs Titan evo instead.
@@ShawnLangford Yeah, but i dont thnk the fabric would change this much tbh. I ended up with another Noblechair Hero (black edition this time) alongside with their memory foam seat cushon and headrest. Infinitely better for the money value.
Been watching a lot of your videos today, and as an Australian a lot of the options in your videos are not available to me. two options that i have found available are the Ticova ($659.69) and also the Haworth Soji (non 4d armrest version $767) and Fern ($1350 with the 4d arm rests). would you recommend spending the extra on the fern or should the ticova be fine for me?

Appreciate the straight-to-the-point review and not dragging out the video. I've had a couple of bucket-seat chairs now and I'm so reluctant to do another. how does this stack up against the Logitech Embody and the Hayworth Fern?
love this chair, had it for about 3 weeks and prefer it over the haworth soji, ikea markus and ergohuman elite 2 (only chairs I've used). seat is actually great for me, gives consistent support over long hours and doesn't cause any pain or discomfort at all personally. headrest and backrest are great, lumbar support is good, not great, but definitely does the job, and the adjustments are also plenty good. couldn't recommend it enough especially as a direct upgrade from the Ikea markus which was my previous primary chair.
It's possible for this chair to be $549 dollars in 2024 because Fractal isn't (yet) capitalizing on our comfort!!! Chair prices are astronomically high for what you get these days, it's ridiculous. Nice to see that at least their first attempt at an ergonomic chair is reasonable.
So it’s not nice to sit on? For £500+ it should feel like air. When did production line chair manufacturers grow the balls to charge this much for a chair that’s not nice to sit in.
I returned this one. Bolsters are too hard, back too high and looks weird, wheels don't role, seat way too hard, there is no give in cylinder when sitting down.
@@BradThurbermy brother you are as tall on your knees as some people standing, but we do need to hear what's the height of the OG, I'm 5'5 and it make me concerned.
This chair seems like was inspired by the Vantum, which is a pretty bad chair. Although, it's nice to see a seat design that hasn't been ripped straight out of a racing car.
the firm seat of the secretlab is the main reason I got one. I had a really soft gaming chair before and had back pain all the time, when I got this chair it all disappeared completely, while not as comfortable short term, long term it is more ergonomic
In my opinion 10 days of usage is not enough to know if it is going to last... But still it looks like an interesting contender however, I would say it is pricey... 😢
What about Herman millers gaming line especially the embody Logitech Collab, or the newer razer chairs or the BMW chair or the Ikea gaming series. Actually there are so many true ergonomic gaming chars out there the premise of the intro here kinda Is a false statement
Herman Miller doesn't have a bucket seat gaming chair. The Razer Fujin is not a bucket seat. The Razer Iskur v2 is but it doesn't focus on ergonomics and is just a worse version of the Secret Lab Titan Evo. The BMW chair is a car seat and it costs like 3 grand. And I could make the argument that IKEA has the worst gaming chair line-up in the industry. -Ryan
@Zetraxes There are barely any proper ergonomic gaming chairs on the market, especially ones that are actually worth recommending. The typical gaming chair is still a bucket seat design, like the new Iskur v2, hence why Ryan mentioned that. The Logitech Embody is still an ergonomic office chair tbh, it's just been marketed as a high end gaming chair, since it does a far better job than any chair from a gaming company.
@@btodtv simply that it is the first bucket style ergonomic gaming chair. The cooler master hybrid 1 would fit the same description but that all depends on how you define ergonomic of course
