Has anyone taken Jordan Belfort's straight line system training? I have and it's pretty damn valuable in terms of cold calling, selling, and communication.
You have inspired me so much to start man, every day when I'm out and about I see so many potential clients that I could build a long-term relationship with, im a student so buying your course outright will leave me a bit short, would you consider monthly installments / if not i shall save and aim tp buy when possible, keep the good work going bro :D
I called lawyers and those gatekeeper's are tough to get through. I had a 20% bypassed gatekeeper ratio as opposed to an 80% or 90% from calling other industries. How do you get past lawyers' gatekeepers?
Very informative and useful. I intend to start SMMA in a blank canvas. I collected some invaluable tips and tricks regarding how to start an SMMA watching your several videos put together for the last 3/4 days but still I am a bit overwhelmed about the serial-wise functionality of the Facebook business page even before I visit a client (Cold calling or else). I am a bit confused about the difference between a Facebook business page and a personal add campaign page. What comes after what? For example, I was watching your 6 minutes video regarding how to include several clients in a cohesive manner on a face business admin page when clients are paying but do not understand how and on what "stage" of the dealings should I send "links" for the action to be taken by the clients to pay Facebook for add and more importantly how to manage all these from a single screen interface of Facebook serially? What I mean actually how to "streamline" every single step "one after another" even before I approach a client so far as managing the Facebook business page is concerned. Please spoon feed. Sorry for getting it a bit lengthy.
Hey Jordan, you’re a strong advocate for cold calling. I was curious if you ever use cold emailing for prospecting or if you just hammer the phone 100% of the time?
Dude your awesome. About to start cold calling! Cold calling is scary to me, but also sending out emails was at first too. So just another hurdle to jump over!
you mentioned in a previous video-- Trello Dropbox, Buffer Stripe Free Agent The one for ads though..i couldnt understand you, sounded like "CAVER".... Thanks
Hi Jordan, your content is amazing! learning so much and waiting on my delivery of your Book! :D however I have a question, DON'T LIE is rule 3, but I haven't had a client yet, so I can't say Iv'e been helping other businesses, what else could I say if asked "what is this regarding"?
Hi Jordan, amazing content as always mate! I recently purchased your 'Resource Bundle' ALOT of value for money there and definitely recommend anyone reading this comment that perhaps isn't sure about your course to buy it and see what kind of quality you will be getting. Iv prospected and collated 50 potential customers in my local area (all using Facebook none running ads) and following your advice I have 26 of the business owners names. I'v never done any cold calling before so I was wondering if you could help, as a rough estimate out of the 50 following your cold call script how many meetings would you expect me to set? Just so I know if I need to change up my tactics or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers
So, at the beginning of the video you said a rule is to not lie. But then at 9:40 you say "Don't worry, it's not a sales call" to the gatekeeper. But it is a sales call. You're saying to lie. I don't get it man.
The first call shouldn't ever be a sales call, anyway. It's an introduction, of sorts. It's a time to place your value in table with respect to the decision maker and then discuss further conversation at a later date (what becomes the sales call).
Best intro yet! What watch are you wearing in the intro anyway? Great video and value always being added Jordan. I will definitely be using these methods!
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:34 🚪 *The gatekeeper is not your enemy; they are just doing their job, which is to screen calls for the business owner. Befriend them instead of seeing them as a foe.* 01:59 📞 *When calling the gatekeeper, never pitch your services to them. Keep it simple and personal, indicating you want to speak to the business owner.* 03:19 🗣️ *Avoid sounding scripted when speaking on the phone. Don't come across as a typical salesperson. Instead, adopt the mindset and tone of a confident business owner.* 05:33 📧 *Ask for the gatekeeper's email address if they refuse to connect you to the business owner. This can provide another avenue for contact.* 09:33 🙅♂️ *If the gatekeeper rejects your initial request, persist politely, but don't be afraid to stand your ground. pretty confused why a main rule is do not lie to the gatekeeper. then one of the first things you say is 'dont worry its not a sales call'.... on a sales call.
@@JordanPlatten not sure how thats physical myself but still. Your calling to make a sale. I would think that counts as a sales call. your saying its not a sales call as long as your just setting up a meeting to sell. is that right?

David Charlesworth it’s not a sales call, you’re not selling anything over the phone. You’re arranging a meeting so you can come in and share some no obligation advice with the owner
Semantics bro. I like your advice here, don't get me wrong. But it is at best misleading. You mention the term "cold call" how many times. If I polled 100 sales guys and said... is cold calling a sales call, or part of the sales process, what would they say? I get that its a no obligation advice thing, but its not out of the goodness of your heart. It's to make sales.
I don’t get the point of what you’re raising here mate? Of course cold calling is part of the sales process. The purpose of this video is to teach how to get past the gate keeper & after years of call experience, I can categorically say that the methods in the video work - so why get strung up on debating if it is or isn’t politically correct to state it’s not a sales call, if you end up signing the client?
@@JordanPlatten It's not if it's politically correct or not, it's that you said not to lie, but then you did exactly that. It is straight up lying, and I really don't feel comfortable with it. I'm not gonna argue that it doesn't work, I'm sure it does.
@@adammm46473 Jordan's point is you dont go into your pitch on the 1st call. Going into you pitch would qualify as selling and the business owner is very unlikely going to drop everything and listen to your call knowing nothing about you. You try to get past the gate keeper to make CONTACT with the business owner so you can arrange an appointment AFTER the first contact call. The appointment is where you do the SELLING, this is when the owner has allocated time to listen to hear your expertise and is expecting to hear how you can help is business. 1st contact = Cold call and arrange an appointment. 2nd contact = Attend appointment and THEN sell the owner.
