Cong Village County Mayo Ireland Walking Tour Video [4K]

Today’s destination was Cong village county Mayo Ireland Cong is a small village in county Mayo that straddles the border with county Galway.It sits on a slither of land which divides Lough Corrib and Lough Mask.The original Irish name, Cúnga Fheichín’, translates to Saint Feichin’s narrows, no doubt a nod to the 7th century monastery. Indeed, the village is surrounded by small streams, giving it something of an island feel.
Cong is one of the most beautiful places we visited.It is filled with lots of historical building and sites.It is one of the most visited places in Co.Mayo West of Ireland 🇮🇪

I visited there last year when I was in Ireland. It was in the Summer so a little busier, but not by much. The whole village is able to be walked in about 20 minutes or so. I absolutely loved it and the people were amazingly nice.

So surprised you didn’t go into Cohan’s pub you filmed. This is where the quiet man featuring John wyane was filmed. If you had gone in you would have seen a statue of him when he visited there. Plus the inside is kitted out like the original film. You also missed out on the pig hole and Abby etc.

Absolutely boring video. No talking, then you put a bit of music on for a second, then cuts back to walking, no commentary. Very badly edited. You did not even mention that it was the location for the Quiet Man
