Awesome video! This is what UA-cam should be. Quality, informative, entertaining & makes me want to be along for the ride. Long time goal of mine: One day soon I too will cross the USA/Mexican border on two wheels, (preferably on a Vespa GTS 300 although I'd settle for a Yamaha Xmax 300 or 400) & ride through Mexico. Any scoot that's capable of competently making the trip from Canada & back would make me a very happy man but the Vespa experience & heritage would be hard to beat. I'm from Canada & have ridden all over western Canada & the western USA on motorcycles but never managed to make it farther south than L.A. I can not think of a better riding partner on Vespa than Robot. The man has achieved legendary super hero status when it comes to all things Vespa. Hell, I'd be happy to ride with any of you guys from Vespa Motorsport. The dude narrating would be invaluable if for no other reason than his fluent Spanish. Unfortunately, rather than Spanish which would actually be practical living in North America, we learn the antiquated French language in school in Canada. It's essentially useless because it's not even modern continental Parisian French. It's a centuries old dialect spoken only in Quebec by the Quebecois when they first settled in Canada hundreds of years ago. As a man of a certain age (read old) I've sold my last two motorcycles & am soon about to purchase my first scooter or two or three.
Real glad I chanced upon this group of videos. Man! How I look forward to riding my pre-ordered 2023 Vespa SuperSport as soon as it gets in. Robot got unit number "0" a few days back in the same exact model and color I ordered. That was surprising cool beans. LOL
Great video! As often as I ride SD to Mexico on my GTS250 and as diligent as I am about avoiding pot holes I hit a good one a couple weeks ago but no apparent damage, thankfully. I’ll have to get back under the seat and check the harness clips, etc. As always, thanks again for your great videos.
I have owned two Vespas, one PK75XL and a PX200E, and sold the second to buy an X8 and sold the X8 to buy an MP3. I was thinking about getting a GTS but I waited because I knew ABS would become mandatory on bikes in the EU. But I'm soo getting one now.
Is the Boss man from Mexico as his Spanish is excellent? I would love to adventure through Mexico, closest I will get is Spain. Hope to take my Vespa GTS 300 to Tuscany sometime soon. Loving this trip. Hasta Luego. :-)
Brian Wilson 150 did amazing! Kept up very well for the most part aside from some big hills etc. Surprisingly it had the same, if not slightly better, gas range as the 250/300s.
