Terra resisting the call of darkness is like Sora saying he didn’t need his friend’s power to fight.
You know "resit" means precisely that, as in resistance? That doesn't mean he was successful, just that he RESISTED it. Even electrical resistors still let a current through!
Terra only resists the power of darkness at begin, then he even accepts Hades' help to learn to control
Terra resisted the call of darkness
Ven and Venitas resolved their differences in a civil manner
Aqua spent the next 8 years on a farm
Xehanort realized his plan would never work, retired, and spent his last years in relative peace and quiet.
Eraqus realized that Light and Darkness could never exist without each other, and it'd be pointless to completely eradicate one to preserve the other. So he resolved to train his students in both, eventually allowing Terra to retake and pass his Mark of Mastery.
... Terra failed to resist the call of Darkness..
Eraqus: *nO pAsS*
Terra resists darkness as much as I resist chocolate. I don't.
