- If anyone is curious, the mini mini cooper was just a few hundred, and the desk was about $4500.

This makes me cry so much. It's just not the same anymore now that Geeorge Gray is the announcer. Rich and Drew had great comraderie and a strong friendship on the show.

What if they dont have the money to pay the taxes on the prizes
Then they can reject the prize; or they can sell it, pay the taxes from what they sold it for, and pocket the cash. This is less applicable for airfare.
Hope that was a Mini with 3 pedals, the automatic Mini had a horrible transmission that shit the bed right out of the warranty window.

They're told in the preshow that enthusiasm is encouraged. I know on Let's Make a Deal, if a contestant does not appear happy with the prize, they'll cut and start over with a new contestant.
