She played some unbelievable shots and I am certain she can continue to go from strength to strength. Her acceptance speech was exemplary for a player, no doubt disappointed at coming second. She deserves more grand slam wins and I am certain it will not be too long before we see her in the top spot.

If my daughter was a ranked junior tennis player, I would pray that she models her game & behavior like Rybakina.

We need to loudly encourage the media to keep politics out of sports. As a father of an 8 year old daughter playing tennis, this young woman from Moscow is exactly how I would want my daughter to play, interact with others, and be on and off of the court. I think we can all see areas for improvement in her game. I get the feeling she is already figuring out how to improve. She is going to be VERY VERY good. For years to come.
Hopefully she'll win more Slams. It was sad to see her be so passive in the rallies when normally she hits confidently side to side. Sabalenka played great though. But with Rybakina her clutch serves, had she played the rallies better and hit better 2nd serve returns maybe she could have broken and somehow win this match against a strong Sabalenka.
She's gracious and dignified in both victory and defeat and a real breath of fresh air for women's tennis.
