Thank you, Deborah, it's good to hear from you and I'm really happy for you that you've summoned up the courage now to let your hair go gray. It's a process and worth it! Big love!
You are so beautiful and I wish to have the color of your hair because I do have long straight hair but is black with a little of gray hair. I decided to go gray with some highlights to blend the gray but I had really bad luck with the hairdressers. They didn’t do what I ask for, very expensive and I’m not even close of achieving what I want and on top of that my hair is already damaged.
Your hair looks wonderful - thanx a lot for sharing your preferred products ❤️ I ditched the dye 1 1/2 years ago and did it all natural (cold turkey) from brown to my natural white-silver. I am so happy with my decision, although I had no idea about the „yellowing“ of white hair...This is the only part of the whole process, where I had to learn a lot and still I am totally interested in the solutions of other silver sisters. I use Paul Mitchel platin blonde shampoo + conditioner twice a month - it does a good job and my hair is not dry at all after using. I adore Marula Oil mask - perhaps you know it? I send you a lot of greetings from the South of Germany, Yvonne 🌺

Hello, new here. Thank you for the info... Review on good product for silver gals. Going to give them a try. You're stunning, I'm 52, greytful for the time avail to me here on this planet, I'm a pilgrim on a journey. ❤ You're absolutely inspirational in these times where aging is perceived as a curse! It's disheartening to say the least, When there is so much beauty and wisdom to be explored from so many! ❤🌸💐
😢Hello. I have not colored my hair since December 2019. I have been cutting off the honey brown color ever since. Last night, I cut off what remained of the brown ends. I have some salt and pepper and some white. Not even gray, white, especially at the top of my head and the front of my head. I can't wait for it all to be white/silver. Lol! My, your hair is so beautiful and graceful. You are delightful! I recently became aware of how gray hair can turn yellow with time. I can't tell if mine is yellowish because it probably has happened slowly over time. This is why I am exploring this subject. I have a question for you, my dear, or anyone with experience with caring for silver/white hair. Namely, why are you not supposed to put the purple shampoo or conditioner at the roots of the hair, only halfway down to the tips?
Hi! Great question you had about why we are supposed to put purple shampoo on the lower half of grey hair. That's because the tips are older, more porous and have absorbed more environmental pollutants, more hair products, more smoke, etc. than the newer hair at the roots causing the older hair to turn yellow.
I intend on making a silk pillowcase, that'll be much cheaper.. Thank you for this video; I subscribed and will gradually buy some of your recommended products. In the meantime, I've made a beef tallow whip that I'm using on my skin and hair. It certainly improves the skin not sure about the hair yet, but I'm using it as a deep conditioner every week for now and then less. Do you have a product you use to get out the brassy color?
While I appreciate your video and opinions, these products are just WAY too expensive for my budget - any chance you could do a video on the "dupes" of all these purple shampoos? My hair and wallet will appreciate that! Thank you!
I wrote a blog about silver hair products that are less pricey. Here is the link www.roxmod.me/post/4-best-shampoos-and-conditioners-for-silver-hair Maybe this info will help you.
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for asking for another video. I can tell you I make my hair look so straight by doing nothing! It air dries like that. That wouldn't make much of video! Any other suggestions? Thanks!
You and your hair are beautiful! I can’t wait to try your hair products. The one I probably wouldn’t is the yellow oil. I heard we should avoid yellow or orange colored hair products to avoid yellowing of the hair.
Thanks for this tip. Fortunately, the oil hasn't yellowed my hair. Because it's oil, I use a few drops at a time. Maybe because it's such a little amount it won't effect the gray hair color.
question: i have followed your hair care recommendations for my fine, grey- and, thanks to those recommendations - beautiful hair for several years. Have you ever tired the Dyson hair straightener? Will you please share your comments as well as you personal choice fo straightening your hair. Thank you so very much for sharing so freely.
Thanks so much for trying out my suggestions. I'm glad they are working for you. As far as straightening my hair, it does it naturally. I stay away from heat dryers and let my hair air dry. Grey hair can be very delicate! All the best!
This is great! I've had grey steaks in the front of my hair since about 16, and never thought about caring for it specifically. Now that I'm in my 30s its spreading quickly but I always loved it. I kind of wish my whole head would change because people keep saying I look like a witch or cruella LOL but I like to think I look like rogue 🤔
Hello from Switzerland!! I can understand your question because the Olaplex oil is yellow. I can say that I have been using this product for a long time (I love how it conditions) and have not noticed any yellowing from this product. Possibly the reason is because you use only a few drops at a time. Thanks for subscribing!
What’s the name of the gray conditioner? I can’t see the name on the bottle and I might’ve missed hearing you say the name of it, but I don’t remember hearing the name of it.
I will suggest you also wash your grey hair With a detox shampoo once every week in case you use haircare a bit too much! Depending on your life style y’all . Don’t forget that hair is a recevoir of pollution of any sort either in or out. In my opinion her hair looks DULL lifeless mid shaft to end bc it needs a good detox to remove all that build up of frequent products use. So detox it and use that hair mask right after so it stays nourished and full of life. Those are my fav products btw.
Yes, you're absolutely right. Hair needs a good detox on a regular basis. Since I made this video I discovered that using a homemade mixture of apple cider vinegar and water helps to remove build up on hair and it really worked well for me. I posted about it on my Instagram account. Thanks for your comment!
Oribe are named after their inventor, but the name is not pronounced the way his name is. His name is oh-REE-beh but the product is pronounced or-BAY. Had to go and look it up, thanks for the incentive.
I’ve never had so much hair loss after I use these products especially the shampoo hair coming out all over. Get a sample before you purchase is my recommendation
Fantastic! Interested to know what might be best for transitioning hair since the brightener for the grey might not play nicely with the old color (especially a darker one) that still covers about 70% of my head!
Hi Robin, Great question! Regular shampoo will work just fine on new growth gray hair. It's when the gray hair has grown out that it'll most likely need purple shampoo and that's because over time gray hair is affected by the elements and oxidizes, which turns the color brassy. So, as you transition, stick with the regular shampoo, at least for a long while! I hope this helps. xoox
Hi Roxanne, your hair looks so beautiful that I'm going to give some of your products a try. What is the code for the 25% discount on the vitamin supplement, please?
Hi Fiona, Nutrafol has helped my hair and what till you see the difference it makes with your hair! Here is the link, which is also in the bio. Thanks so much and enjoy! nutrafol.com/?clickref=1011lvUPNBx5&
Hi - Your least update for hair supplement was in 2022 - do you still recommend and use Nutrafol for thinning har and hair growth. Important. Need to order some supplement. Thank you.
Hi Lolita, Yes, I still recommend Nutrafol. The link is below for you to order some. I take it everyday and just recently I noticed more hair growth. Again! Thanks so much for checking.
Spritz low volume hydrogen peroxide on your dry hair (10-20% leaving it on your hair about 5 minutes) prior to washing followed by using a clear or white shampoo and clear or white moisturizing conditioner helps to gradually remove the yellow tinge from your hair. Adjust accordingly if you experience dryness. Good luck.
I have just come across your video and I have a question please. I also don't like to wash my hair often, once a week unless it really requires more. My question is about all the conditioners you mentioned. When and how often would you use them all? Of course I understand the Kerastase shamp/conditioner on wash day but the others? Thank you.
Hi Jamie, Thanks for asking. The leave-in conditioners I like to use nearly everyday, even if it's just a little bit. My hair will absorb it so it won't get too heavy or dirty after a few days of using. Let me know if this answers your question. :-)
I’ve been considering the Nutrafol supplement because I’ve heard good things about it from other sources, so it was nice to hear your take on it. Thanks for adding the link. I’m going to check it out.
