I was having such an amazing day until that point. In my defense the run previous was so much cleaner and a bit quicker plus I'd done 5 runs of the red and that must have been the 4th or 5th down the black. Exhaustion had definitely set in by that point. I was surprised just how loose the bottom of the black was. It was like riding on marbles in places. As for that last jump I normally hit it a fair bit harder than that but didn't put as much effort into jumping it that run and unfortunately was a bit too far right and was heading for the stream so tried to get left but just ate dirt big style. I've not crashed that hard for years. I literally had grazes bumps and bruises from face to ankle, the worst being cracked ribs on both sides and my shoulder is still bad now. I also managed to snap my mech hanger, bend the chainring, snap a brake lever and take some big gouges out of the handlebars. But all in all I can't wait to get back on the bike and to eventually get back up to Glencoe.
That track looks savage. I don't think my body could take any more than 1 run doing that or atleast attempting it. Fair play for doing it again to capture some footage. Hope your healing well.
Hats off to Alan, could hear the confidence draining from him after every little off until the big un at the end. Looks brutal on the body and bike. Top vid 👏👏👍👍
I had a very similar experience yesterday, bike just came away from under me and that was the end of my days riding. Fortunately i hadn't broke anything but a sprained ankle, cuts & bruises allowed me to painfully hobble back to the car. This trail however looks savage, fair play to you both you have more balls than I do. All the best Allan and hope you recover quickly.
Jesus !!!! How did you get down there. Fair play that man for going for it. Personally I think I'll give that a miss. It was brilliant to watch but scary at the same time. Well done. 👏🤘💪😬
Well done Allan mate it’s horrible when it’s the end of the day and you’re feeling fatigued, sometimes you end up feeling a bit like a passenger. Speedy recovery dude 🤘
Thank you very much, yeah I know exactly what you mean, you go from riding the bike to the bike riding you haha. Can't wait to get back on the bike though.
That’s a course for pros and even they would struggle, camera does not do the size of those rocks and drops justice, fair play to Alan, thanks for the upload.
I rode that trail in the rain pre covid. Must admit I didn't do a second run. The Go pro really doesn't do it justice. Can't wait for the day I can try it again.
It is a tough track but pretty rideable, just need to hit the right lines and carry enough momentum. That was by far the worst run I've ever had down there.
Wow might as well order my cab to the hospital in advance if I try that one, fair play Allan. Hoping to get there in a couple of weeks, anyone know which lift tends to stay open more in the winter winds, Nevis or Glencoe?
When I eventually do a Scotland trip (I hope soon ha), this is on the hitlist! They should just call it a mile long rock garden haha. Side note on the GoPro, I had that before at Woodys where I thought I lost all footage, but I took the SD out couple of times and let it rest and it all appeared again!
If a downhill bike struggles to get down ,....proves how difficult it is .....fair play to him ,for keeping going...think after the second off ....I d would have been off !

Allan what a awesome video loved it shame you had them offs hope you got well quickly all in all you made it look easy 👏🍺
Kudos man that run looks horrendous
Good effort! The Go Pro will never show just how crazy that route is. The red was enough for me :-)
And me looking back 🤣🤣
Great effort to go back up again with the camera! It can be difficult to get the momentum back after a spill. You were sending the top section!
Haha thanks, yeah that run definitely got progressively worse.
Fair play to you Allen for sharing the footage and it shows just how hard it must of been trying to get down that trail

Cancel that, turns out I did break my ankle after all 😂
Gutted for you, I hope you aren't out of action for too long.

👏🤘💪😬
Haha thanks, it's actually quite a fun track and normally goes a wee bit better than that. That run just got progressively worse.
Well done Al. Fooking legend. 🙌🙌
Haha cheers Jamie

Wow that track looks gnarly for sure, I would get my stunt double to do my run too😂 nice riding Alan and wish you a speedy recovery bud
Thank you very much
Increíble! Me encanta sus vídeos, seguiré viéndolos, suerte chicos (:

Thanks bud. We all watched your edits before we did it 😂 you've got a good channel bud 👍👌
@@MikesMTBAdventures If you make it to NZ I will show you some of the trails here.
Thanks very much. Never say never

Go Snowboarding up In Glencoe, but never done it on the bike, looks absolutely savage man, don’t think I would have the balls to do the black
I put them falls down to pure tiredness, that place is a killer fair play mate 🤙
Absolutely. He smashed it before this fall.

I tried so many things. The sd card packed up. Oh well, 🤣🤣

Guys had a mere. Looks savage.
Auw. Thanks for falling, for us. Now we know to skip that one :D
Going there tomorrow. Think I'll stick to the red. 😂
Your own personal stunt man 😂
Looks like something out of a Tomb Raider video game.
@@vincentcausey8498 🤣
FairPlay to Allan
I would have been a bit more sweary 🤬😄
No dropper post!!
Never owned one yet haha
#1 👊💥
Alan’s testicular fortitude is beyond question, that looks absolutely savage… unforgiving and relentless
Haha thanks, my testicles were probably the only bit of my body that were uninjured. I felt like I'd been hit by a bus the week or two after.
They say that Laggan's black track is the hardest but it's piss easy compared to this track hahaha.
A bloke falling off his bike …..a lot 🤔
Its not hardest in uk its hardest in Europe
