one of there best finest lineups Robert Lamm - keyboards, vocals Lee Loughnane - trumpet, flugelhorn, backing vocals James Pankow - trombone, backing vocals Walter Parazaider - saxophones, flute, backing vocals Bill Champlin - keyboards, rhythm guitar vocals Jason Scheff - bass, vocals Tris Imboden - drums, Keith Howland - lead guitar, backing vocals
what an amazing band, that even with most of the members gone and after having played this song thousands of times, the spirit of the song is still there and intact.
Thank you, Carlos, for providing this. Terrific performance of the song. You got good taste, dude. And as for the amusing line below -- I wish I were old enough to appreciate Chicago -- all you gotta do is ... listen!!!
For some reason, this song popped into my head and I just had to hear it.... I am so glad that most of these great great classic can be heard again on UA-cam...
I am in heaven...just love them... true story about how this song came about...Does anybody know what time it is? Does anybody really care? Happiness is relative to time and place...Patti
You get past Robert and the brass, we're a little light on original members here, but still a very good performance, the intro is almost like it's off the original recording, and Lamm looks and sounds great, hope he feels well too.
This performance has credibility, because it is the original lead vocalist, the current personell shifts though are starting to border on cover band, more than actually representing Chicago.
hey, does anybody know the name of that chicago song that had the lyrics "I KNOW I'LL LOVE YOU BETTER" right before the hook? it was an uptempo song and i can't for the life of me remember the title!!!!

I was there when they first busted out, and yes it was an exciting sound. But it STILL SOUNDS FRESH AND TERRIFIC TO ME. No?
There aren't many pop songs that were hits in blank verse. This, and "America" by Simon & Garfunkel. Can't think of many others.
That 5/4 time signature before trumpet so nicely done.
@libralady1010 .... Agree wholeheartedly.... can't tell you how many times I blast this one out of my car every week !
robert lamm is up there with brian wilson as americas top contempory song writers!
