I just never get why people always say nayeon is copying Jennie like most of the times stylists pick their outfit for events and so many idols have wore the same clothes it's very common and Jennie and nayeon are friends so why would she copy her friends its not deep.

I have never like YG's promotional strategies and how their groups are too good to collab with other kpop groups for promotions. I love how Blackpink is enjoying freedom an I hope bm and treasure find some freedom too.
It’s how the market works though, it’s all competitive within these agencies. It’s nothing about there being a superiority complex but more so the fact a big brand/company would not profit from brand deals with groups or individuals who aren’t that well recognised in the industry. Hence the process of PR and why brands sponsor influencers and celebs, they have the audience therefore a wider market for that brand/company.

Why people here assume BP girls are unhappy with YG? It's in fact opposite, they have more freedom than any other girl group. Jennie officially said she is happy to slow down because her health is more important than demands from K-pop fans.
Right now they control YG, not the other way round. YG is happy they promised to comeback for another album (partially already recorded). All 4 are already independent business women. Jisoo can go with her acting career. Jennie enjoys her new chapter as a singer not raper. Lisa having fun in Paris and US. Rose is eating something I guess. Best thing is they all know Blackpink is not dead and they trust YG will prepare incredible comeback as per usual. And YG know they will make billions from that next album and world tour which will cover all expenditures they are having right now.
You guys really think that BP would have such freedom with another company? YG is literally the company who give more freedom to an idol.
In Korea, radio stations and music programs It doesn't go down well with YG.After Hong Kong mama teased YG artists And before that I used to turn off the microphone.YG rarely sends its artists to Korean events.

Yall keep this up and no kpop groups will be at coachella again. This is not a good look to have online backlash like this for a huge event like Coachella. Too much hate becomes a headache for advertisers and management. This ish may be ok in some spaces but overseas it is alarming and confusing. Company privilege makes sense, why would brands work with nugu groups it’s bad for exposure?? But illit and magnetic are so popular in SK right now and wonhee talks a lot publicly about her interest in health snacks and leader of the sports club in school so her working with a drink company like Pocari makes a natural fit!
I mean, it already happened with newjeans. They literally just debuted and got so much brand deals. Even if they have company privilege, big brands still love money and won't make a contract if they don't see any profit with them

yeah it doesnt matter how good they do. The hate train happens whenever an act gets big quite fast. It's not exclusive to idol groups, this also happens to korean actors, always a backlash whenever they hit it big

The fact that you would never be able to guess from all this backlash that they have been the most streamed gg globally everyday since their performance, is mind boggling.
Either the haters are hate streaming or they have grown their audience significantly that much to get to the point where it doesn't even matter since it's a net positive.

The hate train against Lesserafim has reached absolutely insane levels, and it's embarrassing how many still act like it's "fair criticism". Death threats, slurs, harrassment...toward the members and any person who dare say they actually liked the performance. Many, between fans and general audience who was at Coachella and posted positively about the group, ended up closing the comments on socials or deleting their accounts altogether.
There have been messy stages in Coachella, this year too, like Lana del Rey or Grimes, also acts who ended up performing in front of a completely uninterested audience, and i didn't see a tenth of what is going on with Lesserafim.
ive even seen sexual threats that are definitely not okay. at ALL. its terrifying what these people would say. i understand criticism about their vocals but telling them to quit being an idol, mocking them because of their race, etc...? not cool!
The second day was great. They did an amazing job!
The thing is that kpop stans are not used to raw vocals while dancing. They are too used to loud backtracks and they don't know what a live performance actually is.
But rhe thing that makes me angry is that kpop fans just decided to intentionally cut a bad part for example 10 seconds of a 3 minute song and said that they sounded terrible after dancing for an 1 hour. Why not talking about the rest of 3 minutes? This was so annoying.
I don't condone harassment towards the girls but the excuse of other acts being a mess as well is a miss. Because even on outside Coachella the fact still remains that 3 out 5 girls can't sing, and i don't know how this is such a complicated conversation when its that easy
@@Hobiemyhubby i thought it was clear that my comment was about the insane, disproportionate amount of hate they received compared to other stages, and not an evaluation of their singing performance. This is simply not normal, it stopped being fair criticism very fast.
Anyway i'll be honest, poor vocals aside, i liked week 1 show a lot more than week 2. That's how a festival should be, a performance full of energy that engage the crowd, even if they really need to improve their vocals.
This! Cuz why did I get a comment saying that “i should jump off a bridge” after I said that it was admirable and brave that lsfm sang almost 100% live despite their obvious weak vocals, prior criticisms, and difficult environment.

@JemuzuDatsWho you'll need to learn history for that. About imperial japan, what they did, how they always try to keep it hidden and have never apologised. There's a very good reason behind koreans and chinese hating on japan. Imperial japan was like nazi Germany (in some cases, worse) For starters search up unit 731. Its very interesting part of history. Japan is known to whitewash over these things. At least the Germans apologized (and still do).

The hate LSF is getting is astronomical to the point of stupidity. I understand the fair criticisms, even I have a few of my own, but the threats? The sheer hate? It's disgusting to look at.
Honestly, whenever groups get hate at this level they tend to succeed even more, because they get talked about. I remember when 2nd gen and 3rd gen fandoms got heated, the more popular the group the more hate they get. It's been a week and the topic is still on LSF, I bet in another week it would still be LSF. Has there been nothing more interesting going on in Kpop?
Even at work I have friends who are talking about the hate LSF has been getting, and all of us are just casual listeners to 4th gen groups.

Yep..... even Itzy, who are the premier 4th gen dance-heavy GG, and who can definitely sing, still rely on backing tracks to help them get through their 2 hour long live performances.

@@motherhoodsbeauty9279 They had more bsides throughout that didn't require them to dance so it was fine. They still performed a lot of title tracks (some with the modified easier choreo) which made it difficult for them but sadly it's what midzy's want. Doesn't help that they've made a name for themselves in dancing so any future title tracks have to be more and more dance heavy or else they would be called lazy / jyp isn't giving them choreo that lives up to their full potential (which is stupid, but you know it's bound to happen)

I feel so bad for the girls, Eunchae cried bcz of the little mistake she made at thier first year end award show I can't imagine what she must be feeling now. Honestly, hybe and source music failed these girls and they are the ones taking the most hits, I hope Chaewon goes to whoever and demand vocal lessons so they won't have to suffer such an embarrassment again.
100% agree with this. I really hope this situation has opened HYBE/Source Music's eyes in the sense that they can't continue with the way they've been handling Lesserafim's vocals because thanks to this Coachella fiasco, every time Lessera is near a stage, people who are not Fearnots will be at centre-stage, waiting for the girls to mess up so that they can criticise them all over again. They're never gonna know peace again😭. They've put them through enough embarrassment.

Lesserafim did so much better the second time! They changed a few things like having more back-up vocals and adapting the choreography for those who sing. It was so much better!!
the music show score has alot of factors, babymonster was high with the fan vote and music video views, but they dont chart as high as illit on korean music charts. There is also a broadcast score, meaning the group has to attend the show and perform. Illit has done more music show stages than babymonster.

Idk the hate train against Le sserafim has gotten excessive and it’s very dangerous considering the fact that death and r threats are also going towards Eunchae who is 17. Even if the rest are adults, it’s very dangerous nonetheless, and it doesn’t change the fact that those types of comments are never okay.
I have my own constructive criticism for each member, but saying they are an embarrassment to kpop, that they’re untalented, that they sound like animals is insane. What happened to the preaching about protecting idols and considering their mental health?
I’ll write my own criticisms here, and if anyone wants to (respectfully) add on, then you’re very welcome here! Just stay constructive and respectful.
(The order is based on best to worst Coachella wise)
1. Chaewon
Hands down the best sounding and stable one in Coachella, but she also struggled. There were times her voice gave out, but it was towards the end of the performance. I think it’s unfair for people to use the Fire in the Belly performance to criticize her, considering the fact that she was actually the most stable and only really messed up the last song. Otherwise, she did pretty good.
2. Sakura
She could‘ve done better, but there was definitely improvement. I’ve noticed that she was way less nasal, and maybe it’s her learning how to sing from the diaphragm instead of the nose or closing her throat. Her tone was definitely way better than previous live performances, and I can see her improving more in the future with proper training. Definitely hope she learns breath control instead of shouting when she’s no longer able to sing (which is a criticism I have for all members)
[ALSO SAKURA LOOKED SOOO PRETTY DURING COACHELLA AND SHE NEEDS TO KEEP THAT BLONDE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.]
3. Yunjin and Kazuha:
I couldn’t choose one because they both struggled just as much, but I’ll talk about them individually
Yunjin: I feel bad for her the most tbh. I feel bad bc I KNOW she can sing. She was trying to hold it together pre Unforgiven era, but the lack of actual training and practice is definitely throwing her off now. And it’s never a good sign to see a singer like Yunjin regress in such little time.
She sounds out of breath, and it feels like she’s not properly projecting her voice, causing her to strain (especially when she sings “LE SSERAFIM we’re going straight to victory!”). She also has a tendency to go slightly off key. Hopefully HYBE/soumu trains Yunjin to help her go back to her voice pre Le sserafim. Seeing her struggle was one of the saddest things I saw during the performance, and I do have a lot of sympathy for her.
(Also, when Yunjin is immersed in a performance, she seems to become less aware of what’s she’s doing w her voice. I need her to just breathe and relax when she needs to.)
Kazuha: IS NOT READY FOR HIGHER NOTES. I’m giving her grace because she only got three months of training, and most of it was probably spent on learning Korean or the dance. But I’m telling you: HYBE is sabotaging this girl. She sounds way more comfortable in songs like Easy than Unforgiven and FITB. Higher notes are just not in her range at the moment. Otherwise she improved, and I really liked her voice in 1800-Hot-nFun. I definitely see potential in her, and if HYBE provides good training, she could definitely be a lot better. I can tell her and Sakura have been working to improve what they could before Coachella. ❤️
4. Eunchae
Respectfully very shocked by her performance. This doesn’t mean she did absolutely terrible (she sounded good in Hot ‘n Fun!), but she has always been pretty stable and fulfilled her role as Lead Vocalist after Chaewon. But on Saturday, she was either out of breath, off key in some moments, or both at the same time. It was so sad to watch tbh. This doesn’t mean that this performance was the end all be all for her, but I know she can do better. Some pitch and breath training could help her case though. I hope she tries to improve before tomorrow night. I’m definitely rooting for her.
I feel bad for these girls. Like, some of their problems such as breath control and pitch can be easily fixed if trained properly. I hope HYBE/soumu steps it up for them. They’re awesome performers, amazing dancers, very charismatic, and have good music. The only thing that’s stopping them from being the whole package is the lack of proper training.
The Coachella performance wasn’t all negative. They’re awesome at performing and it showed Saturday night. The crowd was feeling it, and the girls were very passionate on stage. I just hope HYBE/soumu focuses on the elephant in the room and actually takes the criticism into consideration. Rooting for LSRFM! Stay strong and keep trying to improve ❤️❤️❤️
I FORGOT TO MENTION:
Before anyone goes “Garam was there for two weeks get over yourself 🤡🤡,” that girl was literally the glue holding the group together vocally . She wasn’t as proficient in singing as Yunjin and Chaewon, but she was actually a pretty decent lead vocalist. She was kind of in the middle, and she made the vocal gap less obvious.
However, after she left, HYBE/soumu basically lost their center. They had little time to fill in the gap, making the lack of singing skill VERY apparent post Fearless era (and it definitely amplified during encores).
The group isn’t a lost cause just because they lost a vital member, but they need to put in work to fill in that vocal gap. As said, rooting for the girls’ improvement!
(And I hope Garam has been doing well !)

These days, I can really understand why many of international ARMY say, they like BTS, not KPOP.
BTS has always sung about love. Their music helped us love ourselves, overcome prejudice, and stand tall.
While active as an ARMY, I've felt that unlike their music, K-pop culture is truly alien. It's like Idols are playing a beautiful harp in the battlefield.
Why do K-pop fandoms criticize, compare, and judge each other like this? The target of countless arrows comes to me - as the lyric says(Love myself) Many people are always watching for evaluation, and even minor mistakes are not tolerated. It's like comparing soccer teams, fighting over each other's abilities.
BTS now has a strong shield with a huge fandom to protect them. But rookie groups like LF have smaller fandoms, so when something like this happens, they're plagued by an unreasonable hate train. It's unfortunate.
Lesserafim's performance, despite some shortcomings, was never a bad stage. As someone who watched the performance from the beginning, I felt exhilarated when Lesserafim held hands and waved at the end. However, what returned to these girls were maliciously edited videos and countless hates.
From the perspective of a fan watching this, I can only express how frustrating it is.
What great sin did these five girls commit to deserve such hatred?😔😔
I'm really fed up with K-pop culture itself this time. I'll still love and support BTS and LF, and their music, but I don't want to engage with K-pop culture anymore. Maybe I'll never read comments again and just enjoy their videos, or I'll become a shy fan who only buys albums and listens to songs.

it's pretty justified. There are alot of artists who perform as well as sing without sounding that terrible. If people are actually paying to see them perform then they should be exceeding their expectations. But from the start they sounded so bad. If they were "new" and not ready, they should have declined the offer.

My opinion on the music show:
1) I honestly don’t care abt the predictions bc with the live voting and all the other stuff that they add later everything can change
2) Both ILLIT and Beamon are talented. What ppl don’t understand is that groups have different talent priorities:
ILLIT has Dance/stage presence and than Singing. They keep to improve in their encores and are reviving good feedbacks for their improvement. Baemon has Vocals/Rap as their principal talents and Dancing after. In fact the Magnetic choreography is more detailed and stamina consuming compared to sheesh. But that doesn’t make any of the two groups better or worst.
3) Baemon’s promotions aren’t ended yet and they can still win. I wish them the best 🫶🏻
4) Baemon’s stans saying like: “ILLIT is untalented, Magnetic is so bad.” Seriously don’t care abt Baemon. Bc Baemon literally said that they don’t want comparisons with ILLIT and that they are close friends so they support each other…

LA and New York get literally everything. i’m from montana and the only kpop love is at target and barnes and noble. my target also sucks at stocking that section on release days. i saw maxident finally on the shelves a month+ after it came out. to see a concert i have to pray that they go to seattle (which isn’t always gonna happen).

My complaint about having waterbomb in LA is that southern California is known for having droughts and placing restrictions on the use of water. I think this year has been rainier than most, but it's still like, why do this somewhere where there is historically a lack of water?
But also I think financially it would make the most sense for these different festivals to be spread out. Like there aren't that many people who can actually afford to attend both waterbomb and kcon, so why not bring one to another large market?
Yeah I was taken back by NMIXX's predebut sales numbers. I know JYPE is one of the big 3/4, but nothing had been shown about the band yet, there was no previews or teasers at all.
Even if it was a company with an established sound and style I'd want to wait to hear and see at least something.

I think the whole thing about Kpop on Coachella is just that when it's a music event, you would expect they would be able to sing well. Heck, I'd be okay if they don't dance as much and focus on the singing instead, but it's just annoying how the dancing part is so glorified when it shouldn't be the main focus. It's hard to give valid criticism when we can't even tell if lesserafim can't sing because of the dance or because they're bad at it. I think they would sound so much better if they just enjoy the stage and sing..
I agree on the last part that you said. They focused SO MUCH on the dancing, they couldve just danced on the first part, chorus part and the last chorus. However, at music events like Coachella, goers arent there for the vocals. Theyre there for the performance itself, the vibe, and the energy the artists on stage give the audience. Audience impact is really big at music festivals to keep let the audience enjoy.

Jennie didn't release any songs yet outside of YG. She was featured in 2 songs but they are not her releases. Similarly Lisa was featured in SG but not her song. Jennie's company is not a record label and the same for other girls. So far only Lisa signed with RCA records which means she is cooking something for her second album.

Out of all of them Kazuha has the most potential to exceed evryone in her group in every aspect.
Even though she also isn't great singer, she is sometimes on the same level as the so called main vocals of the group.
Considering that she barely trained for 6 months and also since hybe doesn't seem to provide good vocal training, she is the only one i see as someone who truly keeps improving even though its not much but she seems hardworking .
She at times sounds more stable and pleasing than Yunjin.
I really hope she takes vocal training seriously because she has a nice tone and has the potential to surpass the "vocalists" of the group.
