I just realized I have all the ingredients to make the snowball cookies, And they look just like one of my childhood favorites, the wedding cookies that came in the pink bag.. I made a batch of your jumbo peanut butter cookies last night and sent them to my grandbabies today. Rene Miss Rene, I made your chicken cutlets tonight. I used my vintage g e food processor, and ir worked just fine, I have a kitchen aid mixer, and thinking about ordering a grinder for it, when I'm able to... But for now, I have to use what I have, I wish I could buy and cook in bulk... but I live on very little a month.. I am just so happy 8 came across your yt channel... You clean your cast iron pans like my momma taught me. She wasn’t about to just wipe her pans out and reuse them. Ya!! Not!! They get washed in hot soapy water and then dried on the stove and then rubbed really good with some lard. But I have used olive oil many times.
I absolutely love your videos. Makes me feel like I’m home with my momma even tho I’m 75 now and she has been Missed so deeply since summer of 1987.

I’ve been making the Russian tea cakes since my grandmother passed away, she made them my whole life, can you believe I never thought to toast the nuts?! I’ll try that this year, also I don’t roll mine in powdered sugar twice either. Thank you for teaching me after all these years!

I have silicone tipped long tongs & use them to reach ALL my top shelf cabinets! The silicone helps grip boxes(like cake mix & pasta) 😂. Saves me from pulling my kitchen ladder out !

Here in the South, every baby or wedding shower used to have the snowball cookies. I loved them and learned to make them when I was young. My recipe book called them sandies. I mixed them by hand with a spoon, though, never with my hand. YUM!

When you were telling Alexa “timer on & off” my Alexa was right next to the TV & it kept making a beeping noise lol- I kept looking around the house trying to figure out what device was on & here it picked up from your command on the show hahaha I was going NUTS 🥜 lol😂
You can order a magnetic hook to hang on the side of your stove to hold your pot holders as long as they have a loop on them! Then they are within reach at all times. Works great!

I would have liked a close up of the 7 layer bars. Well really of all of them.
When I make the 7-layer bars, I like to substitute a yellow cake mix for the graham cracker crumbs. It's a little more sturdy and doesn't burn as easily as the cracker crumbs. Plus, you can use a chocolate cake mix if you want! Just substitute the cake mix, everything else is the same including the butter.

I did some research on cooklee and in my research I found out that cooklee designs the material for kitchenaid so I got the cooklee that has the hub on the front for attachments and I can use any attachment that a kitchenaid can use.

I’ve made Russian tea cakes years ago. Used to make cut out cookies with my son.
I used to bake up a storm at the holidays. But this town is a Ba humbug. Not many friendly people. Now in the other two towns close by the people are extremely friendly.
Pack up the car and celebrate in the next town. Lol that is what we would do. The kids here all know and love me cause I get my big pop corn machine out in the summer set it up in my yard and make pop corn for all the kids in town. They love it. How I wish I could set up for an out door movie cause they would be in their glory. Plus they get free goodies from the market stand, they are all spoiled.

There are some nice people but not many. But, I make the best of where the good lord wants us to be,
The only thing I miss about my ex is it was a large family and his mom made the 7 layer bars and all the goodies at Christmastime like you do. My husband now of 37 years and I both come from very small families. I use to make all these goodies until I had to throw them away because it was just to much for us and the neighbors! Now I just pick and choose a couple on a rotating basis.

I was laughing my head off at myself!!! I was writing down your recipe for the 7 Layer Bar cookies and writing down the instructions as you were making them. I had 6 ingredients!!!!! I kept asking you how you were getting 7 layers with only 6 ingredients. I kept reading over my recipe and going over the instructions....finally it dawned on me that I had omitted the choc. chips. I had just written down the butterscotch chips!!!!! I was feeing really "out there" for a few minutes!!!!! Thank you for walking me through the directions!!! I shutter to think of what may have had happened had I been left on my own!!!!!! lol
The snowball cookies, I do a few with crushed candy canes mixed in the powdered sugar. I love how they look and it's just a hint of peppermint so not too overwhelming.

I Love Sugar Cookies (without) icing. I wish you would make some for me. If you can't make them before Christmas 🤶 later would be OK. Your Granddaughter is pretty but mostly so sweet. My Gram use to tell me Pretty is Pretty Done! Snowball Cookies are my favorite along with Sugar or plain Peanut Cookies. Those happen to be my husband's favorite also. Thanks for sharing.
