These are good gains, even more so with just a supercharger pulley upgrade. I saw you had replied in the comments about APR advising not to dual pulley on the latest gen CREC engine as the SC has a magneto clutch (identified by the bolted pulley rather than pressed on conical shaft type earlier engine). But a crank pulley swap will take the pulley ratio higher than the SC pulley ratio, plus the standard crank pulleys are known to fail on the rubber so a bit of preventative measures fitting a solid billet crank pulley too. You may get a bit more power with a crank pulley (plenty of sizes to choose from) and avoid the std crank failure.
We haven't experimented with that and it's not something we'd like to experiment with on a customers car, we're happy to provide a true bolt-on hardware and software upgrade for a no-hassle upgrade. Hi Regal, great video. Just a quick question: Do you allow customers to provide their own oil for a service? My service is due soon and I'd love to take the trip down to you guys.
2:10 You say that it doesn't interfere with the cats and the emission control system, yet you install catless downpipes? Maybe you meant that it doesn't interfere with the airflow?
@@RegalAutosport There are no secondary cats or cats in the downpipes. These are just standard straight through silencers for noise reduction. The 3.0 TFSI has 1 cat per bank bolted to the manifold and the down pipes bolt to the cats.
Do ppl know that the Eventuri cold air intake & ECS cold air intake for the 4.2L V8 RS5 does not produce any extra HP or performance? I think these cold air intakes are more beneficial for V6 supercharged engines, but for the naturally aspirated V8 it's a $2500 aesthetic upgrade only. Every RS5 V8 owner I've talked to said they produced no gains whatsoever, and one owner said maybe 2-3 more HP. Has to do with the poor seal from the filter & the intake dam which would just ingest hot in air into the motor defeating the purpose of "cold air" intake. Plus, both don't have an air box to suck in air. That's why the German engineers designed it that way.
Stephen you post this comment on every video with Eventuri. Don't hate on it cause he can't afford the intake or a tune for your RS5. Michel said the dyno difference is 3hp from the KN drop filters. Who tf cares! It looks and sounds amazing! I have Eventuri, Capristo and jhm tune. That is how you properly do a RS5. Don't hate cause somebody is doing more
@@theeinsuranceguy Aww, poor thing 💩 you triggered? 🤣 I have the tune, K&N, & JHM exhaust so I'm doing it just like y'all so......🤔 I'm not hating, just stating the actual facts that these cold air intakes for this motor do not produce anything except maybe a better growl. $2500 for a sick looking intake but no actual gains..... that's ALL it is. If it produced some actual HP gains, I'd buy it but it doesn't so 🤷🏻♂️ I think the German engineers knew what they were doing intake box-wise. I want to like eventuri & I actually do. They look sick & produce a slightly better growl but $2500 for a strictly aesthetic upgrade is just not worth it. For a show car that sits around? Sure, for that it'd be perfect.
Is the exhaust and intake more for aesthetics and sound or are there any power gains from these mods? I've seen b8 s4's running more power without exhaust and intake mods but just a stage two pulley tune
It's important to keep in mind that dyno graphs are only a snapshot of a vehicle performance in specific conditions, at a specific health and at a specific point in time. Different dynos, vehicle health, operating conditions etc can impact on the results recorded. A good quality intake and exhaust always make good power on these cars!
Thanks for the comment! In the cold climate the stock heat exchanger, or charge cooler water radiator isn't really a bottleneck. In the summer, to maintain the high output the heat exchanger should be fitted though! The ECU will begin to reduce output as charge temps increase anyway

Hi regal Motorsport, Does the OEM detuned version (200kw) B8.5 A5 and A4 with the 3.0T supercharger TFSI have the same tune/upgrades as the S4 and S5 and end hp with the same power?
