I’m a fencer and if you’re not familiar with the sport, it uses a LOT of lunging and knee work. I’m no world class athlete but your program has elevated my ability in this sport tenfold. I went from an average joe who’s pretty good at fencing to a monster on the piste because of my crazy deep lunges and its all because of you. Thank you to you and your team for spreading such a positive and science based approach to building the human body into its best form, it has benefited me so much and I plan on spreading your philosophy and exercises to other athletes around me. You are a great man and a great content creator and I wish you nothing but success.

People at the gym in HS used to look at me like I was the dumb one when I went through my workouts. But it was never about 'cool', just about longevity. Even my gym teachers didn't understand. I told them if Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant's trainer is endorsing a workout that focuses on these aspects, I'd be stupid not to use it. 15 years later, content like yours and The Bioneer's are gaining traction. Hopefully, people see this and start taking care of their tendons. As more and more people are just launching off, there have been more and more tears.

    • @TheKneesovertoesguy
      @TheKneesovertoesguy  3 роки тому +122

Completely understand how you feel! MANY ATG members around the world experience the same thing in commercial gyms. It almost creates another aspect of training in which you end up not caring what people think of you! You just continue to grind on what works. Glad that we both can relate.

Unfortunately by actual stat, the top fitness growth in 2021 was not my page, and the only pages that grew more than more in that year... ALL DID THE SHORT VIDEOS! So my job is to get this hidden but life changing data across, and it's my duty to study and supply what reaches people. Meanwhile, I will definitely keep in long-form content too! I've been a focused powerlifter for a long time now, but have always had that lingering thought in the back of my mind that I needed to stay mobile, not wanting to be a washed up meathead who can't move. I think by the end of the year I will try to do the lunge move. Then hopefully if I get more money at my job next year and can turn a split apartment into a place of my own, I’ll add a gym room for some of the stage two stuff and rejoin.

Go to his ATG website and you can sign up for his program where they walk you through a schedule and give you form pointers from your videos do you can be sure you're doing it right. This UA-cam video is a nice look at the basics of the exercises he implements in the program, but to find out about frequency of training and how to consistently improve you can look into his in-depth training program.

You need prolotherapy , pro or most exits stem cell injections. The prp is the middle cost and for moderate injury. Just type in doctors who perform these procedures!! Cost differs with docs but getting the best pays for itself in the end. Your knees will like brand new?? 🤞

WOW!! I'm so glad to hear that!!! I would LOVE to be involved in this journey of yours!!
You can sign up for my Knee Ability system here....
      www.atgonlinecoaching.com
The system is very precise. Knee Ability Zero uses 10 specific movements to prep for Dense Strength, which uses 20 specific movements to prep for Standards, which uses 20 different specific movements, all progressed from Dense! It’s AMAZING how much one person can transform, but HIGHLY unlikely without following the correct path WITH form coaching along the way. By actual survey, males ALTER the form 90% of the time to a degree which would prevent the end goals of the route from being achieved. (Females are quite a bit better at form.)
Each exercise has a context within the entire system. Every move has a purpose and when mastered with perfect form, allows even MORE gains on the next step, than a regular human could make who didn’t master the previous step first. There’s a lot of data on the internet but I have not seen a system this precise and we still stand alone as the most dedicated team to actually watching and coaching your form after each session. So bias aside, we quite literally work hardest for your dollar.

Love to see someone finally include Martin St. Louis in a video like this. He is an incredible athlete and was someone I looked up to when I played hockey. He, along with a lot of other NHL players, don't get enough credit for their athleticism. Great to see it.

At ATG we don’t address conditions. Conditions have their place but we believe the human body was designed correctly, and our role in the system is helping you travel a route of improving your pain-free ABILITIES.
For example, 2006 chronic knee conditions have resolved on our route thus far.
While we are known for knees, we are actually a full body fitness system of:
      Zero (bodyweight-only, 30 minute sessions)
Dense (gradual dominance of additional load, 30 minute sessions)
Standards (strength system of measurable targets for 20 human motions, 30 minute sessions)
Bulletproof (off-season pro athlete transformation, 60 minute sessions, etc.)
      Equipment list by program: kneesovertoesguy.medium.com/equipment-by-program-5a50fc84f9ac
All programs follow the same schedule:
      M-W-F Lower
      Tues-Thurs Upper and Mobility
You can learn the entire system on the site from Day 1, and we use an app to coach your form and answer your questions under 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Check out the first steps to it here...
The First Two Steps of Knee Ability! ua-cam.com/video/hyFq0eTGmnA/v-deo.html
      It's from my Zero program
Basically it’s a ZERO weights, ZERO equipment approach to my system, and with particular attention to carefully building from the ground up, for best long-term results! Meaning ANYONE could learn it and still benefit from the tools for like, from world-class athletes, to grandparents (literally!).

Appreciate you so much Ben, basically friends now. Just fyi I was jogging yesterday and hit a small bump in the road and stumbled, I had my phone in my hand and was using that arm to brace what I thought was going to be a fall. Hahahahahah to my avail my tibialis and soleus muscles were so ready for action they sprung me back up ,(as I was obviously falling in a knees over toes position) in stride and I didn’t lose a step or have my hand even touch the ground to brace impact….. this stuff works… no question. Saved a potential injury.

This is incredible advice, I am studying Sports Science in my own counrty Scotland I have begun to question some of the traditional techniques presented at even elitle level. Range of motion and balance should be priortised at a young age and providing the correct foundations to go on and lift safely while having the best range of motion which will in course provide you with an advantage. Also love the mention subconcious prevention of injury as it's something that again is overlooked by a lot of people.

I met Jonathan Edwards in the early 90s before he really broke through. Other than being a thoroughly nice chap, the bizarre thing about such a legendary triple jumper was that he said he rarely did plyometrics due to issues with his joints. He really is possibly the most under appreciated British athletes of all time, along maybe with Steve Backley.

WOW....I think just participating IN YOUR SPORT can be one of the most effective "plyometrics" one can do.... This is because you are limited to your own PAIN FREE ABILITY!!!!
Here is an article outlining my training philosophy: kneesovertoesguy.medium.com/i-went-from-in-pain-with-a-19-inch-vertical-jump-to-pain-free-with-a-42-inch-vertical-jump-by-aef1b2545bea
We had a success story of a vertical increase without plyos as well...
      ua-cam.com/video/C4JAIYqqfaU/v-deo.html

    • @tchai91
      @tchai91 3 роки тому +6

You’re right, the act of triple jumping is obviously plyometric in its own right, and he said he would triple jump both ways, eg...right, right, left AND left, left, right, to balance himself out. He also did lots of sprint drills with his arms above his head (which is VERY fashionable now), and was one of the first athletes to incorporate Olympic lifting into his training. In fact, he was 30 years ahead of his time in many ways, or at least his coach was (who I believe was Mike Holmes). And all this he achieved in the North East of England, which has some of the worst training weather in the World.

I teach clients mostly over the age of 55. We have to train with different injuries and initial rom limitations. This means breaking movements down to where there's a starting point to work their way from. I love this. Rom is so undervalued and it takes so much practice. Thank you for showing us this.
