When I finish a design I upload it to my phone before I leave work, and then I spend the night picking my phone up and looking at the design, looking - but not editing. Being unable to edit on the phone makes me properly think about the changes that I want to make with the overall design, and not get hung up on minute design decisions.
Time is a big factor in being critical over my work. Working all day. A good night's sleep normally helps lots. Seeing designs I've signed off months ago I can pick tonnes of holes in the designs. I hope i'm not alone.
The owl looked good with just the color changes and removing the line. The eye change was bad and the font change was horrible. Rounded corners in the font matches the rounded shape of the owl logo.
In my opinion, you can't ever be 100% satisfied with your designs because you constantly have the need and urge to better and improve the designs made. It's one of the best things about design, always wanting to learn and improve more to be better than you were...
Paula Scher said a very similar thing in an Abstract: The Art of Design documentary. It's very inspiring because even though she is one of the best designers in the world she still wants to improve her work.

my favorite thing to do whenever a new logo comes up is to pause the video for a second, think about how I’d change up the design, if at all, and the resume the video to see how zimri modifies it :’)! after watching your videos for a while, i feel like i am developing a deeper understanding in design. thank you zimri for sharing your energy and creativity on this platform!! I really like this. You basically did what all our teachers taught us about logo design which is get rid of small details that will disappear when it shrinks. Add contrast and line weight. Good work.
As I've trying to do, I'm going to share my thoughts: 1) Remco: I love the new "shades" of color that you've choosed, made it more alive. That's amazing. But I'm not sure about the type font, I guesse it would be better all CAPS. I would give it a try. 2) Rajiv: Like the idea of putting more two pines to make it more likely a real bowling, but again you said that liked the font but have changed it, why bro? I guess you love really much this one and turn to put it in every project, be aware lol. Another thing is, I really enjoyed the Blueish color, but you turnt into red, why? I dont feel bowling in red haha. And the small holes don't appear, its to small and quite the same red, make it black or just remove it. 3) Maxime: Totally agreed with the changes haha, nothing to add here. 4) Rafael: I just think the red shades are too similar, so I would turn one into viver dark, the other more orange and leave one red as it is. PLUS, I like the dot at the end of "burn" but doesnt it change de name of the company? And I miss the "visual experience", without it seems to be a energy drink lol. 5) Alexandra: Loved the idea, i guess i would put a lighter pink, to make a better constrast. And I love the two types for "Alex", but I would match the letters, not sure, but I would try it. Jadon: I dont really loved it, seems to be one of those 90' posters of band, I dont know if it lacks collors or something like it, to give more personality. Ian: GREAT product design, loved it, WOW! But yes I did like his font : D I agree with Rafeal too, some differentiation in the color would help a lot! : ) haha and yes, I'm trying to catch up to the recent projects where yours is, but right now we are still a few hundred away. It is completely possible to be 100% satisfied with your work as long as you stop learning, liking something and later not so much is part of improving your skills
Personally I think all of these went from okay to okay. Like they stayed at the same level imo. But that's really hard to say in such a subjective area of work. I think you had some really good improvements and I agreed one hundred percent on the colors. People tend to go either way to hard or way to muted. I think the perfect logo is somewhere between the originals and your modification. The Bowling one felt way too busy after you added the pins and I'm don't like red very much but I agree it needed to be white and the font you used was much cleaner. The owl was in serious need of the color brightening but I liked the eyes. The body was too large but I think you made it a little too small. I don't think anyone could've done better though because everyone is gonna have minor differences of opinion about different things. Overall I think the designs were all made more modern feeling and none of them were worse with one exception. Alex... The inner color was pulled too far out. So much so that I couldn't see the outline of the head anymore. I think that if it was in between the original and yours it would've been perfect. Good stuff man. As much as your glowing positivity degrades on my apathetic soul you've gained a happy new subscriber.

it's rare when i like 100% something i made... but that feeling fades once i see it again in a while... as creatives i think we're always improving and no matter how proud you are about a project you let pass some time and come back to see that maybe you should have done some things different to make it look better. i believe it's a curse we got ourselves into haha, BUT! the good thing is to realize that you have improved, that you have become a better designer. even if you're stuck in your own style you're always trying to make it even better.

Yes it’s completely possible during the process to find an aspect that you like but have to change to fit your goal better. But you can always use that piece that you did like in the future on something else
After reading the Steve Jobs biography I say yes. You can be satisfied. Every Apple and later Pixar design decision was made after months of work. They had tens of potential designs and spent hours, days and weeks until they found the perfect design for the new app/program and device.

If you're watching him for the first time, you'll think he's crazy. If you're watching him for the second time, you'll think he's doing drugs, but when you'll come back the third time, you'll be the crazy one ending up liking his craziness.
The first logo is more appealing and simple. The way you made it is good too, but having the lighter colors, branch, simple big font, and the eyes how they originally were was the best.
The second logo was much improved, the lighter version of red in front of the darker version (for both the bowling pin circle and the bowling ball in the text) was amazing. Great job!
To be honest, the third logo, in my own humble opinion, kind of needs scrapped all together. You made it look better, but it's still just an "okay" logo.
I actually thought you were commenting on the owl's eyes that are somehow very moody. Kinda humble but hopeful. Quite a good job with so little detail. and then you ripped them out. That was the best part of the whole owl to me.

I think it is possible, but I have found that a great measure for whether or not I am growing as a designer, is looking back at padt designs and seeing ways I can improve it, or even cringing. Most of the time, when I complete a design, I feel it is at the best I know hiw to do it at the time. It makes me feel a lot better when I get that cringe factor looking back, because I know I am improving!

4:10 the original captures the idea much better, the only thing I think should've been changed was the red bowling pin lines into white and the bowling ball holders into the light blue they used. Otherwise it's very aesthetic and eye pleasing
German is probably the longest language as you can just stick words together and it would still make sense thus creating infinite words but the longest official word in German is „Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz“

on scotts bowling the circle behind the pins can be a ball instead of the "o" in the word also, the one of the added pins would be a bit smaller than the other, would look more moved.. or something, you get me
I have not broken into the world of visual/logo design yet, but I hope to. However, I find that with any creative venture I choose to take, there always comes a time that I must step away. The little things I would want to change don't always produces a meaningful change overall and are therefore unnecessary. So I think rarely if ever you can be 100% satisfied. I think its just the nature of creativity.
The OG owl is far more visually pleasing. The font on the redesign isn't great, since it's lowercase it looks cluttered, especially because of the way the language works and you can't just change the language. Having it all uppercase gave it good support. The owl body shouldn't have been shrinked either, that made it disproportionate. That kind of owl would not have a bobble head! Usually I love these redesigns but personally the owl was better originally lol :) keep up the amazing videos
I'm rarely satisfied with stuff I make for personal projects. I think its great 1 day then next day I could feel like something is off. But at work, sometimes I get so satisfied when I turn a more hectic interface into a really concise and effective design from a UI/UX standpoint

The bowling alley logo is literally Red Nose Day, just change the typeface. And I don’t think it is impossible to be 100% happy with your design work it just has to be out of this world

On Scott’s bowling, I liked the contrast between the red on the pins and the blue back ground. Making it all red kinda made it hard to look at.

German is probably the longest language as you can just stick words together and it would still make sense thus creating infinite words but the longest official word in German is

The red "holes" in the bowling ball should be white or black, I think. Nice design, Rajiv!
For the Scott's Bowling logo, you should have made the finger holes black. From a distance, it may be hard to distinguish the finger holes.
on scotts bowling the circle behind the pins can be a ball instead of the "o" in the word also, the one of the added pins would be a bit smaller than the other, would look more moved.. or something, you get me
I have not broken into the world of visual/logo design yet, but I hope to. However, I find that with any creative venture I choose to take, there always comes a time that I must step away. The little things I would want to change don't always produces a meaningful change overall and are therefore unnecessary. So I think rarely if ever you can be 100% satisfied. I think its just the nature of creativity.

The OG owl is far more visually pleasing. The font on the redesign isn't great, since it's lowercase it looks cluttered, especially because of the way the language works and you can't just change the language. Having it all uppercase gave it good support. The owl body shouldn't have been shrinked either, that made it disproportionate. That kind of owl would not have a bobble head! Usually I love these redesigns but personally the owl was better originally lol :) keep up the amazing videos

I'm rarely satisfied with stuff I make for personal projects. I think its great 1 day then next day I could feel like something is off. But at work, sometimes I get so satisfied when I turn a more hectic interface into a really concise and effective design from a UI/UX standpoint

The bowling alley logo is literally Red Nose Day, just change the typeface. And I don’t think it is impossible to be 100% happy with your design work it just has to be out of this world

But for that personal logo for Alexandra, I was so hyped and double snapped all along because you actually did exactly what I wanted with those typos I was like "I love both of them, I would love to see them on top of each ot.... WAIT YES ZIMRI YOU GOT ITTTTTJWJSVSJXBWL"
