    What about charging the battery? I noticed the plug on the front panel. Have you charged it yet? Can you leave it charging?

    Great video. What are the actual dimensions of the unit. Also, some gennys allow for you to shut off gas and run the carb dry. Is that a capability of this unit?

    How long does a standard propane tank last?

    Does Inverter generator store DC current in battery and can be used when needed? or Put it other way it stores it in battery we could use it when it is turned off?

    • @jdstudwell9853

      A inverter generator is talking about the electricity it’s putting out. The inverter generator cleans the electricity up before sending it to whatever you are powering. If you’re running expensive computer equipment. Laptops, iPads and so on. You definitely want the inverter generator a regular generator could ruin your computers.

      @@jdstudwell9853 Thank you,but another question please can we use Battries like Bluetti, or Ecoflow to store energy and use it as u mentioned THD will be less

    Thoroughly enjoyed this very detailed review 😂😂. I’m debating between the 4500DFc and 5000DFc and this definitely helped. I think the “c” denotes inverters with carbon monoxide detection/shutoff btw.

    just got mine yesterday, soon as i opened box noticed two tabs that slide in on top of control panel are not in, so theres is an opening along the top where the black panel meets the blue casing, looks like they screwed it together without the tabs in the slot, looks to me they have no quality control, if i was to have it out in rain or snow water would go right behind the control panel, i have a small engine repair guy a couple houses down gonna have him do break in for me and let me know if i should return it before i even start it.

    I want to know if it starts at very low temperature. Do you have experience on this subject? I suppose I know it well???

      I could not start mine today, 28° here. I hadn't started it in about 2 months. I only run propane. So have charger plugged in. Tech told me to charge it for 8hrs and try again. So not happy it didn't hold a charge. But I figure the cold stressed it.

      From Westinghouse on Home Depot “The iGen5000DFc will run for up to 22 hours on 25% load on a 20 lb. propane tank.”

    Good job man. Dumb question but are the white “Westinghouse/dual fuel” decals on the sides stickers? I want to take all the branding off and possibly paint it. Thanks!

    • @andylippold2213
      @andylippold2213  5 місяців тому +1

      They are not stickers. They are just part of the plastic somehow lol could paint over it if you wanted

    I wonder if this could run a two air conditioner trailer?

    • @radioace318la
      @radioace318la 2 місяці тому

      Doubtful. It should support one. My 5k Predator does a single rooftop on my RV. Here is what I did. I bought one of those cheap mini splits for around 480 bucks. It's a 120 Volt 1200 BTU. Its also a heat pump. I installed it on the back bumper of my trailer. I cools the place down in no time on a 100-degree day. I ran it at 72 degrees all day long. It cycled off and on all day. It was drawing about 1100 watts under full load. Unlike that rooftop 12k BTU unit, this mini is whisper quiet. The rooftop unit is very loud and drowns out the TV and pulls over double the wattage. I haven't turned it on all Summer.
      Cheers from Louisiana.

    So that P 1.8 or 1.9 is 1800-1900W that your trailer is consuming

  • @speppino
    @speppino 5 місяців тому

    By the way that P is a measure of power in kW not in HZ which is a metric for frequency, which should be around 60Hz

    sent mine back, box had already been opened and worked on, missing key fob, control panel not put back together right, going to give home depot another chance, hopefully they dont send me another used ,broken, opened, box, noticed you have 5 plastic straps around box ,mine had two, that was the first clue that i got junk from the warehouse in ohio.

      The company that manufactures these "Westinghouse" trademark licensed generators (MIDWEST EQUIPMENT SALES, LLC) is not high on quality control, I had same issue as you. Make sure you break these in real good too.
