Meh I feel the same way, kinda underwhelming. , they should have put in a humbucker in bridge postion that is coil split, and then single single, with a good Floyd rose.... They could have put a little plastic translucent covers on the blue and purple areas and put an simple led to make it shine. I don't think these will be very valuable in 20 years. They really made this one underwhelming
Into was dripping with feels. 😭 Also, I agree with Ola 100%. Coming off the heels of the Evangelion guitar, when I heard they announced a Final Fantasy Strat I was so stoked until I finally saw it. Super underwhelming. For all intents and purposes, it's just a black Strat. They could have done so much more.
I know it photographs and films very black, but it's a super sick chameleon oil slick finish that's just BEAUTIFUL. I can see why it's underwhelming for people though.
@@benjamin-papa that is the final fantasy VII main theme. I highly recommend this guy called Marc papeghin who does prog metal medleys of all final fantasy soundtracks. It goes way way beyond the usual "metal version of X videogame track".

Subscribed immediately after hearing the intro. Sounds amazing Ola! Would love a video on how to play the lead and maybe the backing track, or even just the tabs. Awesome stuff!
It's surprising they didn't add some kind of LED-lighting inside those cyan and light blue parts. They could have also made a special pick guard and inlays just for this guitar. While it still has that great Strat sound, it does seem a bit underwhelming looks wise compared to that Asuka Telecaster. Hard to hate a black Strat, but I expected MOAR Final Fantasy! Sick playing by the way. That FF7 theme made me smile :)
Never been a gaming guy, so I’ve never played FF before, but I’m a huge fan of fender strats. This is pretty sick, but the crystal is underwhelming for sure.

Very awesome intro🎸🎸🎸🎸. I agree about the purple and blue highlights, during intro I could not see the colors. Kinda disappointed the colors did not pop.
Dude, many guitar players never focus on playing slow and when they do play slow it is dry and tasteless, but your slow playing is moist and tasteful 🔥.
For the price point there should've been Leds in the epoxy areas that lit up with the Limit Break circuit turned on. I really was looking forward to this guitar as a FFXIV player too. Maybe they'll release just an all gloss black version at a lower price point. I'll just use the in game one on the wall and play it as a Bard.
When Ola kept playing the clean tones, I just wanted him to start playing the old Tristram theme from Diablo! Dang it Ola, unwillingly teasing us like that!! :'D
I definitely agree that this seems super underwhelming, especially considering the price tag. You created some excellent tones with it though. Great and honest review.
That's just with most of the large guitar brands nowadays, alot of modern Jacksons, B.C. Riches and especially Gibsons are very underperforming for their price tags.
@@dq7860 I agree, to a point. BC Rich just isn't delivering nearly anything they have hyped over the last two to four years. The push-pull sounds like series mode. The mix of bridge coil and middle, because retains this "quack" sound tipical from the regular position 2 from any 3 pickup strat. And the same in the neck position.
Ola, have you ever played a PRS 594? If not, I highly recommend you give one a try. The core models are pricey, but the S2 models are a more affordable option. Probably the best guitar I've ever played.

The blue & purple crystalline-esque texture, I believe, is resin? But don't quote me on that.
