I'm creating Brown Academia. It's a lower to middle class aesthetic. For those Auto-didactic learners that never could afford college. Focusing on frugal living, The modern philosophy of minimalism is perfect. Academic focus would be Philosophy, history, science, etc. Also learning light home repair along with gardening, and cooking, and the like. The mindset is more Logic and reason based, Realistic philosophies such as Epicurus, Schopenhauer, Camus etc. Working an honest hard day is not shameful, and neither is saving 20% of your income every week for your retirement. But since you are more curious and learned then the average Joe you enjoy some different things. Such as a nice waistcoat and a flat cap. Mixing blue jeans with a dress shirt and waistcoat would not seem unusual on a night out. A cup of tea and a hearty homemade stew would hit the spot. I kind of think of Hobbits. I now have a Pintrest page for Brown Academia.
Count me in, I am romanticising romanticising itself, it is so bad with me currently \o/ I'll be able to move soon if I get the apartment I applied to and I totally want to get some romantic light academia aesthetic into it if I manage to do that ^w^ So this video is really really fitting currently
Great to see you back! Especially with a video on an aesthetic I love (and the video itself giving me the same soft, quiet, chill vibes the aesthetic does haha). I think this style fits right in with the lighter, conventionally feminine colours you often gravitate towards with your fashion, and as a result I felt all those whites and creams-based outfits you chose really suited you :) Oh and if I can make a movie recommendation here too, Meet Me in St. Louis is another period film and has Judy Garland in some imo lovely bright Edwardian dresses which could really lend themselves to light academia in a similar way to what you picked out.

Oh I love Meet Me in St Louis so much!! I haven't seen it in a couple of years though so perhaps time for a rewatch 😄A couple of other films you might enjoy are On Moonlight Bay and its sequel By the Light of the Silvery Moon. Both star Doris Day and Gordon MacRae. Just like Meet Me in St Louis they are lovely 50s musical take on the midwest at the turn of the century ✨

Being a fellow Australian, have you noticed the original "Picnic at Hanging Rock" from the 70s has a very Light Academia vibe?!. Especially the way the girls are dressed for the eponymous St Valentine's Day picnic. (The film is set in 1900.)
Yes it totally is! Have you heard of an aesthetic called "Australian Gothic"? It popped up on my TikTok recently and Picnic at Hanging Rock is often included.

I'm obsessed with UK and Victorian Era and like living like royals/princesses and all that stuff also im a cottagecore person but I really like reading books and when I did the quiz I'm light academia + cottagecore + royal aesthetic ( I don't know if this really is something ) I just dont know what should I choose :
Tropical weather does make it a bit tricky! Maybe try and find pieces in the colour palette of Light Academia (creams, beige, also some plaid) but in pieces more suited to the weather, like a linen button down shirt or tennis skirt
