  • The first segment in a 4-part series of the history of Lubbock, Texas produced for the Opening Ceremonies of the Lubbock Centennial Celebration in 2008.
A motion graphics documentary I created from archival photos provided by
Texas Tech's prestigious Southwest Collection. The photos were researched by
Cindy Martin and Sally Abbe. The music score is a segment of David Kneupper's "West Texas Suite". This was shown at the Opening Celebration
which was produced by Don Caldwell.

First came to Lubbock in 1977 still here in 2022 just a living a little farther out . The weather is great , the people are great , no fences lots of dirt roads and you can see from horizon to horizon .

Lubbock is one of the largest cities in West Texas. If there is a movie about a tornado, someone get these actors there! And any crew member there too.

I lived in Lubbock for 6 years in the 70s. I loved it the people, I even had a Texas accent. I liked the interesting weather patterns. I live in LA. But have fond memories of Lubbock. 👍🏻❤️
