Great video just one thing I noticed is it looked like you used the same conditioner for the oil and the water base stain but you should always use oil based conditioner for oil stain and water based conditioner for water base stain, it makes a big difference

You know I was always told the same thing but the fine folks at general finishes did a demo for me and showed me that there’s no difference if you properly dry it.

You condition before the oil stain but never before water stain. Instead you pop the grain. This should be explained.

Where's the sanding? You gotta sand to 150 before staining! Pine is tough, have you tried a Gel Stain?
