Hey Fighto, question for you: Is Conqueror on Varus viable? I'm assuming he'll take Press the Attack now, and it should be pretty strong, but I've been curious about Conqueror for a long time. Usually the answer I get is that he'll probably die before he gets Conqueror stacked, but at the same time I see so much potential. If it's viable what's the best way to stack it? Are there any tricks? Like 2 stacks each for ult hitting multiple enemies, e, and q too? I haven't taken it into practice tool yet but I wanted to ask you personally. I noticed Shojin stacked when you auto attacked a minion. I didn't even know it stacked on minions, and it's probably because of Varus' w passive. I wonder if Conqueror stacks the same way or if it's one 1 per ranged auto attack. If it's not viable bot, or mid with your bruiser build, could it be viable top with Heartsteel? no conqueror takes way too long to stack on varus, I would recommend not running it. Pretty much have to go PTA now new build I go for is terminus rush > wits end/guinsoo/botrk (one of the three) > full tank
Would you be able to create a video on a good mid-laner anti-assassins? The games that have champslike Pyke, Zed, and K6 on the opposing team are the ones that I like the least. I want to counter two or three assassins at once, not just one. Good video.
+1 for this, this has been a recurring problem in my champ pool for d4 mmr/t1 clash, individual champions in my pool counter individual assassins, but a good anti-assassin champion guide would help me
Generally, liss is great bc insta root and point click cc. Vlad can pool away and sustain. Kennen e away and r if they too close, threatening stun. Malz is ok but too squishy and doesnt deal enough dmg, but a huge pain in the ass with silence and r.

When will people understand that its just varus that insanely overpowered. Not any one specific build. His base stats are completely overloaded, you can build anything on this champ.
yep this is absolutely true! this game was won before I even finished BOTRK really. But personally, I had no idea spear of shojin is 120% gold efficient without factoring in the haste and bonus damage. Its actually one of the most gold efficient items in the game if your champ can use all of its stats. I just wanted to raise some more awareness to how good it can be on champs like varus.

Are you familiar with Kerberos_Lol top varus build. Highly recommend. I dont want to say who’s is better but the AS and resist as well as dmg mix is almost perfect
I follow kerberos closely, he's an incredible player. Looking back I also spent the majority of my time playing nashors riftmaker varus before it got removed... so I have a soft spot for ap builds. But in my humble opinion it just makes sense to rush BOTRK on this champ. It's too good with overheal first item, makes you tanky and 1tap people all in one.
@@kylelipka9133 one of the reasons I dont build hourglass on Varus and also Cassiopeia is because you are heavy DPS champs. If you press hourglass you aren't doing damage and it gives the enemies a chance to reposition so it doesn't really fit my style. But banshee does sound appealing in certain games.
You're right, Varus is a power pick into melee comps due to built-in %health dmg and botrk rush, but Shojin sounds pretty useless, even lethality Varus struggles to do damage with spells after 20 minutes if not ahead or unless the enemy team is full squishy (kinda hard to expect if you play into most melee comps) and really slows you down towards tank items. I honestly don't know what third item could be if you want to go damage but I'd rather go Riftmaker than Shojin
Think back to the good times - why did we buy radiant virtue on varus? Because it was cheap and extremely gold efficient. The main difference between shojin and riftmaker is gold efficiency. Shojin is 120% from raw stats alone and riftmaker is only 105%. Also, you are paying for 10% omnivamp but it gets cut down to 6% for ranged so that's further gold value wasted. But outside of efficiency, shojin gives you really good damage spread. The %bonus damage increase on your abilities is mostly magic with the blight stacks, whereas the raw item gives you AD. Its much harder to itemize against a Shojin varus than a riftmaker where its purely AP damage increase and a simple negatron cloak negates your full item. Try it out. I saw a varus one trick doing it and didn't believe in it myself. Then I gave it a go and it felt really really good.
@@fightozzz You have a point but Rift maker also give you 2% increased dmg up to 5 stacks and it's on every damage not only spells, i get that it doesn't give you AD which is probably comparable to the 10% increased dmg at full stacks of the Riftmaker plus the bonus ap scaling on %bonus health, idk that's a lot of math behind the comparison and it's not something you can easily try on dummies since it's dependent on the enemy team but i'll give it a try

This helps make your first 3 melees die 1 by 1 with different hp values instead of all 3 dying at the same time, making the enemy irelia walk up 3 times to give you more opportunity to harass. Against irelia this is even more important because letting her kill the 3 creeps at the same time stacks her passive and she can immediately go on you and win the all in lvl 1.

@@fightozzz BotRK is good as a first item but terminus is a better long term and scaling item on top of the safety of Banshee and hourglass
